All of the fabric I used in this came from Joann's. The black print is exclusive to them. The stripes was from a FQ.

Thanks for all the comments on this outfit. I love it and more important, DD does too.

Oh Good.. I have a Joanns near me.. I will have to look for some this weekend.

:wave2: Hi Teresa I was just wondering how you sister is  today? I have not seen her on much. I hope she gets well soon.:cheer2:

Me too! I like to know my 2 year old isn't the only one!

I hear the two year old thing I have two I them they get into things together. Yesterday it was playing in the potty water:eek: :scared1: I think the do it on purpose so i will give them a nother shower.:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I finished DD's Decoupage set!! Thanks to everyone for all of the tips! I fused some pieces and pinned some too. I think next time I'll just pin as I go.

I've already washed and trimmed these! The top was sooo easy to do - I'll be making more of these sets!
Very cute! The jeans turned out great!
Well, I got one skirt made to see how it looks over the pettiskirt. I think it's pretty cute and just need to decide if I'm willing to let Zoe wear the pettiskirt to school or if we'll just keep it for special occasions.

The skirt with the pettiskirt:

I was thinking maybe she could wear the skirt and pettiskirt for the school's Christmas program until I noticed the program only seems to be for grades 2 through 5. That bites! I was really looking forward to going as were my sisters. :headache:

Ooooh! Now I'm DYING for a pettiskirt! Uhh...for DD, not for me  This looks so cute!

Ok, I failed buttonholes & zippers 101 :headache: My mother decided that my machine is too old and she took the princess bodices to my aunt who has the automatic buttonhole maker! I love my family!!!!

We did get this done without a zipper foot, but my mother had to do it since she has decades more experience than I! This is for dd7 to wear to CRT (her choice, not mine!) These are with my camcorder and not great! The mice are not appliqued, but iron-ons that I printed from clipart. I didn't want to do all the tiny applique work, so I cheated... sue me!!! Dd7 has been sick, so she didn't feel like putting it on for pics, especially since she's tried it on a dozen times for fittings today!!!

Love it. I want to try one of these eventually!

I just added a pic in my gallery of a bracelet I made to match a grinch-y boutique christmas outfit. I can't figure out how to get it in the post.:confused3

Thanks, I hope it turns out good!

We love High School Musical here too! Are these for MGM (I can still call it that for awhile!) or HSM on ice?

ETA: Just went back to see that you say they are for Disney.

She just loves HSM and is going in at the end of the month so she needs a jacket. I'm sure she will wear it alot

I love it & so does dd4. I'm all for iron-ons. I've used quite a few of them myself lately.

ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! pretty! I wish we had a good quilt shop around here. Such great fabric!

That is a great top! I've been looking for a new style & I never thought about not gathering the t-shirt dress. It looks great.

That's a really nice book. I really like that you used the pics from previous trips.

Lurker here speaking up. I have done very little sewing until recently. My grandmother gave me a machine she didn't like (Brother XL6562). I have made some purses, my daughter's Halloween costume and various other small things.

I really enjoy seeing everyone's projects. It is what has motivated me to really start trying to sew. Of course, I have spent alot of time doing this :surfweb: trying to keep up with the amount of posting but it gives me great tips and inspiration.

These are bibs that I made for dd4's 2nd Thanksgiving. I traced around her hand & then cut the pieces out of felt & sewed them on. I got the patterns for the rest of the turkey's parts online somewhere. I just searched for handprint turkeys 'til I found what I wanted.

This is dd1's Thanksgiving shirt from last year. It's not a great pic, but trying to get a 6 1/2 month old to be still when there's paper around is NOT easy. (We do Christmas at Thanksgiving with my Mom's family. REALLY makes life easier in December.)

I bought the Stipwork jumper pattern from Youcanmakethis.com yesterday and went out to buy fabric for it today. I bought different christmas fabric - each of them 1/2 yd. I washed them, put them in the dryer and I was getting ready to cut them out when I realized that I am not going to have enough to cut out four strips of the same fabric..ugh..I really should have bought 3/4 yd instead of 1/2 yd! The pattern said to use 4 different fabric, and to cut 4 strips of each fabric for a total of 16 strips. So, I only have 12 strips...do you think it will look OK if I use two strips of another fabric, and another 2 strips of another fabric to make up the difference..or do you think it will actually look strange if I do that. Hope I am making sense...

Here are the six different fabrics...do you think my choice of fabric will look OK?

I think you should be able to sneak in some mystery fabric easily. As long as they are the same color scheme it will be fine. I love the combination you picked out! Good luck on your jumper!

I need to vent....Gosh, I am so upset at our favorite auction site. I listed a yard of fabric a long time ago. Someone bid and won, and then decided not to pay. She's been telling me that she sent the check, and then she said 2 weeks later that she sent another check. Well...gee, guess what. 30 days later...no check. Big surprise.:sad2: So what does my nice buyer do, I left her neutral feedback, because she did keep in touch with me, I was trying to be nice, she decided to leave me a negative feedback for not taking paypal. I wish ebay would change their policies on that. If someone is a non payer, they should get negative feedback with out being able to retaliate (SP). It's just not fair. I work so hard to make all of my buyers happy, and then you get a loser like this...make's me angry...
Okay vent over...now we can get back to our regular programming of cute kids with just out of the bath hair, and cute outfits that we spent way too much time making...:rolleyes1

I know how you feel, I listed a brand new palm pilot of my DH's(he got a cell phone with all of the capabilities). I had a buyer that bought it in the last second and then hemhawed around about paying for it. Times goes by and finally I decide to relist it and it was too late to get my listing fees and final value fees back for a non paying buyer!!! I was so ticked off because the fees on it were not cheap, I think it sold for almost $300. Sorry about your buyer!

LOL...we put our tree up the week before Halloween. We figured if Wal-Mart & Home Depot could do it, so can we! LOL
:rotfl2: That is too funny!

Morgan is running around in shorts here in Florida. THAT is why I moved from Michigan :rolleyes1.
On a sadder note. Morgan just found out the hard why why I tell her not to lean back in her chair. She fell backwards and bit her tongue pretty bad. She will be on soft foods for a few days:sad2:
Just remember, Teresa and I live in Michigan, so all of you thinking you made the right move by moving away...you're wrong! You're missing out on the Dis Sistas! :lmao:

Poor little Morgan, give her a  from me!

These are really sweet! Thanks for helping us spell Josephine! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

And here today? 80 degrees. That's why I moved from Michigan.:rotfl2:
:snooty: See above :snooty:

Oh and I applied for a new job today at a local blood bank. i worked as a phlebotomist when Mac was a baby and work has slowed down considerably. Jobs are hard to come by around here, especially ones that are worth having. The ad went into the paper just yesterday and when I was there at around 1 today they had already had about 7 applicants. So keep your fingers crossed for me.
I'm just proud of myself that I know what a phlebotomist is!! I love my phlebotomist! Good luck with the job!

Yes, an eight year old boy in overalls would be sight, wouldn't it? No, I don't want him to get beat up at school!
I think you should move closer to Tampa, like Palm Harbor, don't you think? ;) Then we could go fabric shopping together!
:rotfl2: Hey, remember Corey's lovely pants that I made him? If he can wear those to school, Jacob can wear overalls! :rotfl2: (No, Corey doesn't wear them to school, they're jammies :lmao:)

Hey, I saw Palm Harbor, FL on the news yesterday! Some idiot put stuff in a guy's koi pond and killed all of his fish. Where were you the night before last? :scratchin

She's creative, though she can't sew, but loves getting her boys to match when they go to WDW...I told her I'd help her get some cute customs made up for her youngest 2. I've been telling her about this thread...she's a dis'er, but not here because she doesn't sew, she just enjoys my telling her all the great stuff we can get made for her July trip. Tonight she called me from her Waldemort (she's in NJ) because they had the Minnie dot fabric on sale...she bought me 12 yards! I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet, but I've got enough now to do what ever I want. :)
Great deal on the Minnie dot! All of our WalMarts ran out of it before it got a chance to go on clearance.

You sound like me! I have trees all over the place in my house. But this year thehre will be no tree. :sad2: We are moving across the country the week after Thanksgiving, we'll be in our new home 2 weeks and then be goign to Utah for Christmas! I'm really, really sad I can't set it up this year, but I don;t even think I'll have the boxes all unpacked when we leave for Utah, let alone the Christmas things.

Sure hope people post their trees so I can have some CHristmas though! I LOVE to see everyone's trees!
I don't envy you moving, especially at that time of year. We've moved a lot in our 13 year marriage, but never very far.

Well, I got one skirt made to see how it looks over the pettiskirt. I think it's pretty cute and just need to decide if I'm willing to let Zoe wear the pettiskirt to school or if we'll just keep it for special occasions.

Cute cute cute.....is that Michael Miller fabric?? I just love the combinations! and the petticoat is perfect with it!

Wow great job....it looks hard to do the jeans....I assume you had to open them up which is the part I always hate! :rolleyes1 You did a great job!

Sorry about this situation...hope you can get a non-paying bidder report done and get this comment off of your rating!!! :sad2:

Thanks...
By the way, you were thought of on our vacation...
We took this photo in honor of you...

Very nice choices....I like your solution to use all of them 2 or 3 times to get up to your required 16 peices. Can't wait to see it all done! :thumbsup2
