And oh yea that makes post 100 woo hoo. :woohoo: :rolleyes1: pixiedust: Sorry I just had to.

I was thinking of not mulit quoting today, but it takes too much energy! So, I'm back to my multquoting ways!

Congrats on the 100th post!!!!!

Ooooh, that is a crucial detail that I missed... :scratchin Hmmm suspicious, yes.
Yeah, I knew you'd come around once you heard the WHOLE story! ;)

IN PRAISE OF THE PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT KEEPER!

I just want to publicly thank the photobucket account keeper! I don't go on there everyday, just when I'm looking for some inspiriation. I was just there, and WOW! You've done a LOT of work since the last time I logged on! I'm SUPER impressed at how organized you are! I just wanted to say thanks for keeping up with what has to be 1000's of pics and keeping them accessible to all of us. You Rock!

She is something AMAZING!!! Isn't she!!!! I am always stunned at how quickly every single new picture gets put up on there! Thank you so much!!!!!!

So anyone resell or sell their gorgeous creations! I'm trying to read and keep up but get confused with fish drowners (hahaha-drowning a fish-well I guess FIsh killers anyway) . . and other...... But I end up with my mouth open in awe of the beautiful pictures (MandMmom- the family portrait is GORGEOUS!

I'm taking my dd (in size 5 now and my DS 2t) at Christmas and I'd like outfits for them at least though dh would wear a shirt to match too:)

steph! Those poor fish! How could you? :rotfl2:

Seriously, some people are just cruel. But since when do you look like 2 teenage boys? Heh.

Heather! You are crazy!

Thank you! :thumbsup2

I'm gonna side with Steph on this one, cause I don't get it!

Yes, thanks for realizing that I am not responsible for everything that happens in Palm Harbor!

Ummmmmmm..... those is fightin' words!!! :scared1: :scared1: Maybe you can quick erase them before Heather sees them!!

I mean- come on people! Heather may be a design/fabric thief..... but crazy????
No, no..... I don't think so....... ;)

I think she is jealous that I live where it is so warm and nice and she is shivering her toes off! :snooty:

Well, I GUESS I'm glad you found your seam ripper, and it wasn't in the couch!

And, HEY!!! WHATCHA think you are doing ruining my sister's good name like that!?????!!! HUH????? Ok, you just pretend that's a fighting bannana, ok!!!??? (That's why there is only one)

UH! HEATHER isn't the crazy fish killer here. ;)

Hey, she missed a CRUCIAL detail!!!! These fish killings were very near where she lives! See, see now????? It's all becoming VERY clear now, isn't it! :rotfl:

Can I tell you about my seam ripper to change the subject from the poor fish? I could not find that stupid seam ripper, just the cap (which is never on it) and then the phone rang. Then I had to put Jacob to bed. Then I remembered that the sewing machine came with a little seam ripper so I went to look for that and what do I find right on the table? My seam ripper with the cap on. I called my husband who had since left for work and he said he didn't even know what a seam ripper was so it certainly wasn't him. So either Jacob heard me whining about it and found it and left it for me or I am totally losing my mind!

Glad to clear that up!

What is a tag fairy? :confused3 :confused3

Over on the left side under some usernames, there are quotes in colored print. Those are put there by the Tag Fairy who randomly selects quotes that you have made and puts them there. Make sense?

Yes, Thank you! (I guess I should check more than the TRs and this board, huh)

OK, here are the pics of MOST of my stash. PLEASE forgive the mess. We finished the basement last summer and I literally had 10 people at the house hauling fabric upstairs to the attic and chucking it up there to get ready for the construction crew. I still haven't gotten everythign organized and folded. Then we had a flood int eh basement in April, and we were literally sprinting down the stairs, grabbing stuff, and chucking it into my dining room. It's still not super neat or organized (and, honestly, never will be).

OK, here are the pictures of about 75% of my stash. There are about 18 pics, so I might have to sprea this over a few posts:

My stash is spread between my attic and my basement. Any boxes or bins you see either have fabric, patterns, or trim in them. There is a closet I didn't photograph that is full to overflowing with fabric and stuff, and there are bins and drawer units under all of the sewing tables. Yes, DH LOVES me, lol. Otherwise, he would never tolerate my hoarding.

I can't wait to go back and see what all I've missed in the last couple of days!

I'm just popping in to go off topic for a second and share something. (I am not apologizing though!)

I have never asked for prayer requests on line before, but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now and thought it couldn't hurt.

There is a mom at my church who is in the end stages of cancer. She is 29 and between her and her boyfriend there are 7 kids that are going through this with her. She found out Tuesday that her kidney cancer is in her leg bone and she already knew that it was in her liver and brain. I will be spending time with her along with some other members of our church helping her get to her treatments and do odds and ends. I am really having a hard time knowing what to say and would love it to know that there was a great group of ladies praying for me to have the right words when I just don't know what to do our say.

She goes back and forth from accepting that she is at the end and looking forward to feeling better. She isn't always logical in her thinking so it is really hard to know what to do and say.

This morning I am on my way to the the pediatric orthopedic surgeon to help her get treatment for her dd14 that broke her finger badly at volleyball last night. She won't admit that she' not well enough to go, so I really worry that we will get home and settled with no problems.

Thanks ladies.

I just want you to know I'll be praying for you and this family. What a gracious spirit you have to be willing to help this family in this way. Don't worry about what to say or do. Most times, saying nothing is exactly what needs to be said. Your presence and willingness to do everyday life activities will speak all the words that need to be heard. Do what you know needs to be done (transporting her around town, going to dr's appointments, making a meal, just helping them live as close to normal as possible) will be what this lady needs right now. She wants for things to be nornal, even though she probalby realizes that they aren't. Just help her with that desire. Remember denial is a very real part of grief. They are all dealing with this right now - I'm sure they KNOW that this is happening, but the grief won't let them admit it.

Again, I'll be praying!

Hi all -- you probably all don't remember me -- I haven't posted in quite a while --been overwhelmed by work and life in general. I have been keeping up with everyone's posts however every once and again at work. You ladies and gents do not disappoint.

Just wanted to let every one know that I found the cutest new Mickey and Minnie fabric at Hancocks the other day. I will try to post pics this weekend.

It is a red background (red is on the orangish side - matches Michael Miller's ironwork red on white). Mickey and Minnie are dancing -- pretty small -- looks like they are drawn --very cool. It was 5.99 a yard and 30% off.

Keep up the good work.

Since we are talking about our fabric stashes...... (and NO I am not posting pics of my fabric-it's mine and I don't want to share!:lmao: :lmao: )

What is the oddest place you have stored fabric?

When I lived in Michigan I had this LOVELY kitchen cabinet next to the sink. I have no idea what is was intended for but it held two big tubs of fabric!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It was very handy right near the kitchen table where I had my machines set up :woohoo:

Wow! Are you a seamstress? How on earth do you have so much fabric?

I have 2 (currently dormant) sewing businesses, actually. One making custom and pre-made clothing and one making bags and purses. They are dormant because I lost ALL of my pre-made inventory in the flood in april, and I am still trying to get back organized, replace electronics, and get my heart back into it to get back working full time.

As for the fabric, I buy a lot of estates and small store liquidations. Recently, for example, a small sewing store went out of business nearby, and I bid on all of the inventory they had left after the official day of closing. I had to take everything out of the store, no choices. It ended up overfilling my truck, and most of it was great. I do this about 1-2 times a year. Sometimes I get lucky, sometimes not. I end up selling what I know I won't use on the auction site we all know and love. I know I still kep way too much, though.

I also buy and get a lot of upholstery samples which I use in one of my businesses, and I buy them by the 500-pound lot from a supplier about an hour north of here.

I am also a fabricoholic (duh), and cannot go into the city or a fabric store without coming home with at least 3 yards of somehting. :)

Like I said earlier, we had a flood in April. I lost a LOT, and ended up severely overcompensating for the loss, so right now I have way (to the power of ten) more than I really have space for, and I need to get sewing and reduce the piles.

And would you believe, all of that fabric, and I had to go to JoAnn and BUY some Disney fabric, because I had used all of it last trip? *sigh*

Wow. Great for you for being there to help her. I think that's the best thing you can be doing. That and listening to her. Good luck with everything

Lots of thoughts and prayers to you.

We know laundry is dangerous, and washing dishes can cause injury. I would like to add cleaning your DD is hazardous to your health!

I spent all day yesterday cleaning DD's room. Under the bed, the bookshelf, the CLOSET:scared1: washed all the bedding..... and now my back HURTS! I am not sure what I did-but my back did not like it.

WOW..that's quite a stash! With that much fabric, do you actually keep an inventory of what you have? I think if I had that much fabric I probably would just forget that I even have them!

Another "speaking of" segue... in an effort to use up some of my stash while also figuring out my ruffler foot better, I've been working on making some twirl skirt sets that will also help use up some of the blank tees I've acquired over the past year or so. Here's one I got done between working on other projects:

chez_moi1.jpg

chez_moi2.jpg

I also made these 2 skirts but just need to decide what kind of top to make to go with them. I'll probably do a simple tee for the Christmas skirt but I was thinking of trying a hoodie type top out of a cool lacey knit fabric I have and put a tank or tee underneath - not sure if I'd prefer white or brown.

My DD8 saw the photo with ALL THAT FABRIC and said "Mommy if you were a stay-at-home-mom you would have all of that fabric too!" she also said I would make her "lots of cool outfits" if I learned how to sew like all of you!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Maybe........one day......

I know how you feel! I never know what to say in situations like this either. I do agree that just being there is what she wants and needs right now! You are a good friend to do this! I will keep you and this family in my prayers.
