Okay, I lied, here's another post. My dad bought Butterscotch (I chipped in $50) yesterday to keep at his house "for the grandkids". It wasn't working right- wouldn't eat the carrot, didn't make galloping noises, kept repeating the same sounds over and over again, in a loop and driving us nuts, etc... He took it back and got a different one, so hopefully it'll work better. If it works like it's supposed to, I think it would be worth it. Tessa was in LOVE with it today and played with it for hours, non-stop (even though it didn't work right). Our WalMart had it for $208, so it was practically free! She's been begging me to buy it for her since last Christmas, but Mommy's too cheap and it just won't fit down our chimney.

My Dad and Heather just bought one yesterday to keep at our parents house. From what Mom told me, Tessa was having fun with it most of the day! Although, I believe they had to exchange it for a new one, since it wasn't working right.

ETA: Yup, like Heather said, they did!

If only it could walk.....

Mom is too funny! Although, it does sound like a pretty good idea.....

Oh, DH let me out to WalMart last night so I could get white thread so I finished my pettiskirt. Any suggestions to make it stiffer would be appreciated. I'll post pictures later, gotta get the kids ready for school!

I saw the crocheted one on Teresajoy's links, but you have to sign up for it, and I didn't bother because I don't know if I really want crocheted ones...the ones I've seen here looked like fur, not yarn. I went to to look, and that was interesting because they had fur cuffs of all sorts, even the adult variety with a key

When your kid's tall, everyone expects them to act much older, too. Plus, she gets a lot of "why aren't you in school today?" comments (and has since she was 3).

Well, I don't want to ruin Deann's vacation! This was taken by grumpy husband who was on a work call and you would not believe the dirty look I got when I asked him to take another one. Sorry, no twirling until Jacob gets home from school.

As you can see, it's not that much fluffier so if anyone has any tricks for making the netting stick out more I would appreciate it. And it's itchy! I'm going to have to wear something under it!

All the cuffs I have are the crocheted fun fur ones. The pattern is free in Teresa's links. I bought the pattern from YCMT. I don't know if they are exactly the same or not, but the cuffs look the same. I don't want to know because I hate the idea of paying good money for a free pattern! Here is a picture of my cuffs:

That is too funny! My DH "let me out" last night too! But I only had one hour because I had to fit it in between the time he got home (late) from work and the time he had to leave to play basketball with "the guys" (for over 3 hours no less).

Ok before I forget- again!! billwendy was it you that needed a measurement for 3-6 month pants and did you every get it. I have baby clothes I can go measure if you still need it.

So I found my digital camera, DH still doesn't know where his new smaller one is, oh well, I have mine so at least we've got something. Sorry I don't have the pants and stuff with them but they are all packed. These are the new ones I've been working on.

I had ordered some removable fur cuffs from someone on I can't believe it but they actually got here today. I didn't think they would. I'll have to grovel at her feet for getting them here so fast.

So here is what I was working on last night when the "late night club" was in session-

I got one pair completely finished and the other 2 just need the top and bottom hems and elastic- They are for christmas morning- I am going to Iron-on some of those awesome DISigns with the star wars characters.

Hey there everyone! We're in Florida. Our room wasn't ready when we got there at 11:20 am so we decided to come over and visit with my dad and mom and the Peabody, my mom's got a conference going on here that ends today. So we're killing time with him until my mom gets out of a meeting at 2. I think we're going to go shopping with him for a little while.

We've already visited with the famous Peabody ducks. They were napping and completely unimpressed with the small person. She had a great time on the airplane. We flew Jet Blue and I think I will never fly another airline if at all possible. It was cheaper than Ted and has Direct TV in each seat, more leg room and comfy leather seats (geez, I sound like a commercial) it was a great flight. DD was tuned into Wilber, Hi-5, and then Nick cartoons. The child barely blinked.

Well, I'll check in later. We've got a computer so I'll be online. I'd hate to get so far behind on the thread again that I can't catch up.

I'll be looking for the other custom mommies. If you all are wired up while you're here maybe we can figure out how to run into each other at MVMCP.

I can imagine the look!!! Probably just like the one I got when I asked dh if he planned on helping me pack anything!!!!

I really like that skirt, and I have absolutely not tips about the fullness. Oh yeah I do, twirling!!!! LOL You really did a cute job on that, and I bet you'll be the best looking mom at the dance!!

Oh my gosh! The Little Einsteins fabric is adorable! I HAVE to get some of that! Has anyone seen it at Joanns or Walmart? The only Hancocks I know of (a round here) is about an hour away and I can't find the fabric on the Hancock website.
