Where is everyone this morning?:confused3 You must all be sewing, something I should be doing! Here is a pic I took this morning of dd4 in the first dress I made for her! It was very simple of course but I think she looks soo cute.

And the matching bow:

Not a good pic of the bow but it was cute with the dress!:)

Ok, just for Teresa, I found pics of me pregnant. :)

This was 2 days before dd4 was born & we were moving into a new house...in a different state...having gained about 5 lbs of water in 2 days...after the trailer with 1/2 our stuff flipped...4 weeks before my due date. Never let yourself get that stressed out that late in a pregnancy, it's not good.

Here she is at about 20 min old.
th_CopyofDSCF0042.jpg

This is about a month before dd1 was born. Yes there are shorts under that top, I promise. :rolleyes1

Great pictures!! How awful that you had so much stress going on right before you gave birth. I love that top you're wearing in the 2nd pregnancy picture- very cute! The pictures of you with your newborn babies are just precious!

Of couse she's sooo cute! What a cute little dress! It doesn't have to be fancy to look nice. Bows rule, scrunchies drool (that's for you Steph)!!

I love both of these outfits. I like your Minnie dot fabric better than my Minnie dot fabric. My dots are almost TOO big. Or maybe my dots are too close together.

And the pillowcase dress is too, too cute. I love that fabric. I wish I had more fabric choices here. I only have a Joanns and it's not that big.
I begged the disers to give up good fabric. I only have Joanns here too. There is a hancocks like an hour away. keep looking online too. When everyone was buying the friends around the world fabric one of the disers bought a whole bunch and sold it to some of us w/out a hancock for the price she paid plus shipping.. you'll see that most of the girls around here are very helpful.

OMG!!! I moved 2 days before I had Lily too!! Fortunately it was only across town. But the new driveway is pretty steep and my dad kept yelling at me for walking up and down it!:rotfl:

That is too funny...I thought I was the only one who was that crazy. We were buying during the market boom and even though we'd been looking we just hadn't been able to get our hands on a house (2 contracts we had fell through and that ate up some time too)

Oh Mindy that is So adorable.I have that fabric for littles patchwork twirl too. Which I should totally be working on!!
LOVE you new sig!!

Fridays are always a bit slow around here...unfortunately it's one of the days I have the most time to chat...:sad2:

Thanks for all the great comments on Lily's outfits... I know you guys thought I'd never actually get a project finished. Now, back to that twirl skirt.

...t.

Everybody's pics are great! I eloped to vegas and since it was before the digital age so maybe later I'll have to do a little picture of a picture experiment and see if I can make that work. Come to think of it both of my kiddos were born pre digital too. There aren't any pictures of me having them though. I barely even show up on the videos that were taken after they were born! I was laying in a bed recovering from c-sections while my entire family was passing my baby around having a great time.:confused3

Utahmama- I know what you mean by needing motivation. I was there a while back. I just got to the point that I was not accomplishing anything and didn't even have much desire to do so. I went through and organized my stuff and it did give me a little kick in the bum. I really need to do it again. I need to get in the habit of taking a few minutes after I complete each project and re-organize my sewing stuff. I find that as my stuff gets more and more chaotic, I get less and less motivated!

I'm off to spend the day with my sister. She had a bunion removed Wednesday and we are going to spend the day eating and watching season 1 and 2 of The Office!

Awwwe, you are such a good sister. My sister would never do that. She sucks.

...t.

Bows rule, scrunchies drool (that's for you Steph)!!

Well! :snooty:

Awwwe, you are such a good sister. My sister would never do that. She sucks.

...t.

My sister would do that, but she would make me watch Star Trek or something stupid. She is weird.

I just got home from tennis and now I am frantically trying to clean the house before the babysitter comes over so I can have a conference with Jacob's teacher. The kids are off school today. Hopefully I will have time this afternoon to dig up wedding and pregnancy pictures and finish the Pikachu pajamas. Ok, no more computer time for me!

Alright here is a few pics for your veiwing pleasure, first up is a picture of me pregnant with my DD, my DS was so cute when I was pregnant- always hugging my big baby belly. I think I was about 8 months here.
47b7ce38b3127ccebe4d53f4aecb00000025101AZsXLhszbMY

47b7ce38b3127ccebe4d53ff2ff000000025101AZsXLhszbMY

Also so glad to be :cool2:

Cute outfits!! Is that your son or somebody else's? He's a cutie too! Hey how *do* you get around rick click disablement?! Some of us haven't quite figured that one out yet :rolleyes1

These are the cutest boys overalls I have seen!! Does obsessedwiththemouse make and sell these? If so how can I order them? We are taking our first trip to Disneyworld in June 08 and I am in full disney mode trying to get ready. I want to buy clothes for my children, anyone know of current ebay sellers that make custom clothes?

I love the pics with your son they are so sweet and your son is adorable! That dress did fit great you look beautiful!

I think it does! It's more "work" but it makes it easier than hemming a circle, which is a pain!

I have to say AMEN SISTER!!! to that! I made my first circle skirt and it took forever to hem!!!!! I was about ready to give up, but my daughter kept saying, "Is it finished yet, mommy?"

So, I trudged along and hemmed it!!:rotfl:

Okay tier one of the patchwork skirt is sewn and trimmed( I really need a serger!!) only 48 more patches to go:scared:

okay, i have finished my prince charming applique for ds2 for ariel's grotto:thumbsup2 i did not buy the pattern on ycmt i actually just free handed the frog design:rolleyes1 i am in no way gonna do the face because i know i will mess it up so i will use puffy paint .. this is my 1st official applique;) (besides, mickey heads) which i think is much easier IMO .what do ya all think ? and please be honest, i don't want my ds to wear something that is horrible ... i can take it i promise;)

That is so cute! I love that candycorn fabric!

I think it's a great first applique...but I myself am not an applique specialist. I did one mickey head and am dreading the next project. Practice makes perfect and it looks like you're off to a good start.

There are a few ebay sellers on here. most have ther id's in their signatures. just use those id's and check out there me pages. everyone is great to work with.

Just want to chime in and say that everyone is doing GREAT things! I have been (not so diligently) working on an outfit for my daughter, should be done tonight or tomorrow, then hopefully I will manage to take some pics and upload.

Keep up the good work everyone!

(Oh, and, Steph - for your scrunchies do you use elastic or do you encase an actual ponytail holder? Just curious. I love bows, but my daughter somewhat insists on ponytails, so scrunchies are actually better for us.)

Well! :snooty:
My sister would do that, but she would make me watch Star Trek or something stupid. She is weird.
I don't know why I continue to talk to you. :snooty:
Anyway, if my brother wasn't already married, I'd try to set him up with your sister. I thought only brothers could be weird!

Such cute preggo pictures!!! I wish I would have taken some with Tessa in them, but I don't think I have any like that! I can't imagine how hot you must have been in that big 'ol wedding dress in 95 degree heat! You sure look pretty, though! Here's to getting married young! :woohoo:

I think it's really cute!!

Let's start our own in crowd. Everyone here is now OFFICIALLY Cool

I'll teach you all the secret handshake later.
...t.

OOOOOHHHH!!!!! FINALLY I'M COOL!!!!

One time in 4th grade, one of the really popular girls at my school decided she was going to make me popular. She worked on it all year, but it never happened! I was still just a big of a dork at the end of the year! If Sarah Butler could only see me now!!!!

Ok, Megan is sitting on my lap waiting not-so-patiently to play on Playhouse Disney and we scroll by your picture and she says, what is in there? Where? That woman? What is in there? I tell her those two babies! She says, two babies? Now she is laughing and rolling around on the floor saying, how did two babies get in there? I think she crackyed herself up!

Too funny! I adore that girl!

OH, Steph...you're gonna have to have the talk
Just wait till you have to tell her how they get them OUT!!
My kids know how they came out! The doctor cut Mommy's tummy, and pulled them out. Nice and easy (except Corey, who was 36 hours of labor THEN a c-section!)

Hi!! I have almost finished my first dress. Maybe tommorrow LOL. But I am wanting to buy a Ruffler foot. What foot do I need for my machine?? My machine is a Brother CS-6000. I will post pictures when I finish my outfit. But it was the first time I have sewed anything. And I didnt start easy. LOL.
Thanks,
Melanie

DD 04/25/94
DS 02/27/96
DS 02/28/05
DD 10/19/06 YES IM 1 TOMMORROW!!!!!!!!

ONLY 86 DAYS TILL DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!
I see someone answered you, but there are pictures of the different shanks in the Photobucket account too.

That's funny... I told DH that I have to lose 20 pounds (i think we're pushing 30 now though) before I get preggers again cause, I've always been "cute pregnant" and I don't want to be "fat pregnant"
Getting older and fatter SUCKS!!!

...t.

You were really cute pregnant! I'm betting you still are cute though!

LoriandEmilyatgettysburg.jpg

This was when I was 7 1/2 mos pg with Hannah and swollen like crazy.

Swollen and cute!

man oh man I do not like the new siggie rules. no more pic of dd and her prince

If you combine your picture and text into one image, you can still have your picture.

This is the only pic I have on my computer of DH and I on our wedding day. We were married on Trunk Bay in St. John, USVI in 2000. I was 28, he was 35.

paper.jpg

Wow! This took my breath away! How beautiful!
Here is me on my wedding day picture i absolutely look young and the reason why is... i am i was only 18 and dh was 19 and in the usmc we got married in reno nevada a half way point for my family(utah) and his(calif) and now we have been married 14 yrs with 5 kiddos
DSCF0052.jpg
That is his mom and his niece, well now there mine:

Aww, Baby Spongie! You guys are so cute!!! I love your face, SOOO happy!

Here...
This was the beginning of the minnie outfit. I woulld like to point out that the top ruffle is not straight b/c I haven't put snaps on the straps and she wouldn't hold still for me to pin straight.

This is the new and improved version...after some minor adjustments

l_dbb29eb6f865f5b8f1a36cdc38512447.jpg

That's it for now. Hopefully I get the halloween skirt done this weekend.

...t.

OOOH!! Tifani! These look great!! I love the princess toille! Of course, Lydia just saw it and thinks that I should also make her a Princess dress, because "we have that material, and the other outfit you made out of it for me is REALLY a shirt and a skirt, not a dress like Lily has." (She always wants to know the kids names on here.) Thanks a lot T.!

I just loved being pregnant!

ME TOO!

If I add a ruffle to the spiral skirt hem, will that make the hem easier?
BUY A ROLLED HEM FOOT! ;) Or mail it to me. Although, I'm not real good at it!

There were no video cameras allowed in the delivery room with me, either. Plus, no pictures until AFTER the babys were born. So, I'm with you! There's no need to relive THAT part![/quotee]

I am pretty sure that I have a picture taken while you were in labor!!!! I think I might just have to go find that one!!! :rolleyes1

6-9-07TessaandBrandengettingpicture.jpg
6-9-07RingBearerandFlowerGirldancin.jpg

Tessa is already married. According to her, she married the ring bearer at the wedding where she was the flowergirl. Here's a picture of the happy couple. Oh, and he says they're married, too.
Lydia says that, "Tessa is beautiful! Why wasn't I at that wedding?" Yeah, how come Tessa got married and didn't invite her best friend???????:confused3

Ok, just for Teresa, I found pics of me pregnant.

I love it! That's really cute!

I thought I'd post what I've been working on for the last 100 years. This is Tessa's Cinderella/pumpkin/Fall dress. It's just the bodice so far and I haven't attached the skirt (obviously), or put the zipper in, or pressed those sleeve seams (very important to press your seams ;)). But, I thought I'd share what I have so far so you don't think that all I do is sit around commenting on what everyone else has done and try to steer this thread as far off-topic as possible. :cutie:
