UGH!!! This is what happens when you don't make a list!!! While picking up the last 2 fabrics for my patchwork twirl I found a great polkadot to make a ruffle...Of course looking at the measurements, that's one hell of a ruffle, but I don't even need it. I'm so used to figuring on having a ruffle at the bottom that the one time I don't need one I got fabric for it anyway!!! Now looking at the skirt, I don't even think it'd look good-Great!!!No ruffle, I guess I'll just incorporate the polkadots into my patchwork pattern and call it good. What a dork!!!
...t.

Just went through the photobucket and found some patchwork skirts WITH ruffles. I've decided to wait and see how long it is sans ruffle then if it can stand another inch or so I'll add it. No wait, I can't do that or I'll be left w/ a yard and a half of orange fabric with red polkadots... what in the he** would I use that for?? Crap! I gotta go measure the kid again!.
...t.

You just crack me up!!!!! Make a ruffle, why not! Or throw the fabric in your stash and let it fester until you decide on something else to do with it. I can't tell you how many yards I have sitting in a pile while I try to figure out what I will use it for. What ever you make I'm sure it will be wonderful!

Great Pics!! How were the family shirts done?? They look great!! Did you notice my name....CheleLynn2, I had to look twice at your post, I was like hey? I don't have that many kids, and wow look at the weight I lost. :lmao:
My name is Michele, my goddaughter always called me Chele because she couldn't say my name right, and my middle name is Lynn. I am guessing you are a Cheryl??

hey michelle, yes i am a cheryl lynn =) i did a double take one of the first times you posted too, lol.
Thanks for the shirt compliments. The family ones were done last minute from the DISigns board. towards the bottom of the list of different boards. They are iron ons. The people over there are great, they custom make them for you. =) We had a ton of compliments on them while we were there.

Here is a Hannah Montana outfit I made my girls. I actually had somebody ask where I got the outfit.

Mommytoe...

Where do you find the music note fabric... I love it. I was at wallyworld today looking and no luck..

Also did you us ethat printable fabric paper for the shirt?

I need to do something in Hannah Monatana for the concert in December.

I love it! She looks so sweet!

It looks great! How old is your daughter? I ask, becasue it looks like she still likes the girly clothes!

Looks can be deceiving!!! ;)

She is 8, and yes she still loves girly, twirly things.
I have been sewing a lot for her lately, because I realize the end is near. Next Disney trip, in a couple years, I just can't see her wanting to wear anything I make for her.
I guess I will have to wait for grandkids! (minimum of 8 years I hope...DS is 14 now).

mommytoe, love the Hannah Montana outfit.

aimeeg, those are adorable.

Does anyone know if Joanns carried 2 1/2 inch foam? Also does it come on a bolt and do you buy it by the yard?

GRRR...ok, I'm going to go back and start over on this pillow case dress as I made the armholes too small- then tried to fix it and now 1 is too big. Jeez... of all the things I've sewn I'm gonna have trouble with THIS??? But on the upside... THE BUCS WON and the dress looks really cute other than that.;)

We went to a party at AK last night for the release of the Jungle book. Here is DD in her dress. I made her cabbage patch kid a matching dress, but did not get any good pics of the two of them together.

Wow you have been busy! THey are all adorable! But these two are my favorites. I love that top you made with the pumpkin skirt. Very pretty.

I want to try to make a ruffle like that too.

Great Photos too by the way.

I'm gonna haveta jump on the "i love the pumpkin outfit" bandwagon too.

But then I have to go back to the cutting table and start the pillowcase top AGAIN. I'm going to cut the armholes the right size the first time- this time, I think it'll be easier that way.

Oh Aimee, those are gorgeous!

Does anyone have a link or directions for those upside down ruffles on jeans? I looked on TeresaJoyCE's list and didn't see anything. I think I can figure it out, but I was hoping for a little help. Thanks!

ok... so it is sunday and I have been sewing most of the day... kids are great today and I decide lets order pizza. call the ordering # for the Domin@es and there is a delay and an accent. did you know they route all there calls to the central ordering in the philippines!
WOW that is crazy!!!
sorry I was so surprised I thought I would tell all of ya!

Wow Aimee I just love all the pics of all of your fabulous outfits!!! Terrific job!!!   :dance3: This definately deserves three bananas and some dancing girls!!!!

Thanks. This is my first sports related creation. I made simple baseball pants years ago for my nephews when they were in little league. Those were just plain white but looked like what the big boys wore so they were happy. I've never been into sports but I'm trying to encourage my DD to try different activities in hopes she won't become a couch potato like me. LOL I had a few parents of her team mates ask if I could make some shorts for their daughters. We joked that even if our girls aren't getting the most goals they'd definitely be the best dressed on the field. :lmao:

Do you think you could cut the design off the old tee and applique that only one that fits? It would be a quick way to get more life out of the old shirt.

The shirt is one of those that is "well loved" so it has been through the washer quite a few times. I don't know if I could applique it the design is getting "crackly"

Thanks for the suggestions. If our team had a name then I might have something to work with but Softball is bigger in the spring. Right now the teams are just named after the towns. In the spring she was a "lil' star"
the other teams were interesting like "Bratz," "Tomboys," "Baby T's," and "Firecrackers." I like the Ladybugs that is cute! It would be a good name for a softball team.

That looks beautiful! You must post pics of Audrey wearing that when you can!

This is my latest t-shirt/ribbon/applique project. I've gotten better with the curves but the full circles still don't like me.

Call me crazy but I didnt see any fabric on this site!

I'm not seeing any fabric on this site. How am I missing it??

Did you mean: http://thefabricfairy.com/ ? (I did a search and this site came up)
Ah haaa,,,, you are probably right cause here is some really cute fabric....thanks Teresa!!! :)

Great pants!! One problem though - you wrote it wrong. They should say GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!! :rolleyes1 Phenomenal job though!!
Nope, I just checked with DH and he said Go Navy was correct!!!! :cool1: (He was in the Navy so he should know! :rotfl2: )

Here's a recent creation I made for Zoe. She's playing soccer for the first time this year and once the girls picked Ladybugs as the team name, I couldn't resist making a pair of shorts to go with that name.

Adorable!
there is a person, or persons who read what we write, and when we write something that catches their attention, they put it under our username in different colors. If you ask for a tag, I think it upsets them, because they will definately not give you one then...LOL. So play nice, and be witty, or silly, and one day they will get you when you least expect it...LOL
Well I have been on this site for two years and on here almost daily for 8 months straight and I have written two trip reports and have over 1000 posts and haven't said one darn funny thing yet!:confused3 :rotfl2:
