I didn't really like the face fabric at first either, but now I'm thinking I should have bought some! My husband would have a different idea about that though. Would you believe he thinks I have TOO MUCH FABRIC???? Crazy man. Of course I think he has too many guns and fishing poles, which is my segway into..

If it would help, I could post photos of some of my stash so you could show your DH and say "See, I'm not as bad as HER!" I think I added 25-30 yards in the past week or so and that's hardly a drop in the bucket.

Teresa she was wearing Lelli Kelly's with the Lilo outfit. Kiley has a pair too. I love them because they go with almost anything.

Oh, I'd never heard of that brand until a few months ago. They are SO cute but I decided it just didn't make sense to get them for my daughter. I'd be paranoid she'd actually want to wear them and end up getting them dirty.

Okay so does whoever gets the first post on page 1000 get a prize??? It won't be me 'cause I have to get to work, but I am thinking I might be willing to send some Salt Water Taffy from MD to the first lucky one. In the true spirit of sharing here. Does this inspire anyone else??

I think you boil squirells. But why would you want to eat a tree rat ??? Really all squirrels have is cuter tails. For that matter, we call seagulls sky rats. Don't ever see anyone eating those though!!

You must have some "meaty" squirrels up there!!! The ones around here are skinny, scrawny, little things. But I'm with you, I would not be able to eat that either!! Which brings up the question...How exactly do you cook a squirrel?

Are we getting closer to 1000?

He makes stew or cooks them like chicken. I think you can pretty much cook anything like you would chicken! I've had a taste, and it's actually pretty good.

The big difference between the two dolls is size.

MT is 23 inches
AG is 18 inches

MT is much more poseable that AG
AG is more popular and has LOTS of stuff you can buy.

Both dolls offer matching child outfits.
Both doll companies offer sales.

There are VERY few patterns available to sew for the MT.
There are TONS of patterns available to sew for the AG.

The squirrels in our backyard are pretty big. Of course they have a couple of oak trees & a pecan to feed them.

Teresajoy, if you want to send your dh down to kill a few that's fine with me. I have plenty to share...I won't eat them either.

He would be happy to come shoot your squirrels! The ones he shoots are really pretty big. Our cat looked real worried when he started skinning it though! I was outside hanging up our laundry, trying really really hard not to look at what my husband was doing!

Yes, you need to post a picture of your entire stash! Then I can show Brian! I am going to make Lydia a Buzz Lightyear Redondo skirt. I was going to buy some star material to go with it. But, I think I better try to figure out if I have something in the depths of my stash first!

Oh my goodness! That is about the cutest bunch of children ever!!! I love the outfits! They look perfect to me !

Does anyone know how hard it would be to put ric rac on the seams of a Redondo spiral skirt? I was just thinking that I have some glow in the dark ric rac which might look cute with the Buzz fabric. Lydia found some material that is sort of spacey that she wants me to put with it. (from my stash)

All I can say is I'm glad I haven't eaten dinner yet or it would be all over my keyboard with all this talk about eating squirrels. YUCK! I can barely get my kids to eat real chicken I can't believe yours will eat squirrels. When I was 5 my dad brought home two rabbits he had shot and I sat in the kitchen with my Peter Rabbit book crying that Daddy had killed Peter Rabbit. He forced me to eat a piece, NOT a good Daddy (my mom is still upset he made me eat it).

Anyway, here are the ribbon jeans that I finished for my DD5. I just used an old pair of her jeans that still fit in the waist but too short. I'm very happy with how they turned out.

That is really gross!!! I am a really picky meat eater. I do fine with chicken and pork but that is it. Red meat ewwwwwwww and I think I might die if I had to cook hamburger. Yucko . . .

I am a little more animal sensitive. I am not passing judgement at all. We are just not hunters.

Funny story-

My brother live is New Orleans and took us to Commanders Palace. It the nicest restaurant down there. Eight years ago breakfast for seven cost $450. Anyway, I do not eat eggs. I did my usual scan for chicken and came up empty. The closest thing to chicken was quail. So I ordered it. Two baby birds arrived. I was so upset. An hour into breakfast my Dad finally looked at me and said you do not have to eat them. I laughed so hard I cried. I picked around these tiny little creatures all morning. I just could not bare to do it. My Dad and cousin had no problem at all gobbling them up!

Squirrell -- YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a meat eater but I will not touch squirrell, deer, quail or anything else of that nature. Give me cow, pig or chicken and I am good to go. I am so thankful that noone in my closest families hunt, I just couldn't take it.

FWIW, I had an uncle that hunted. He and my aunt had like 5 deer heads on their wall and one night I went to spend the night over there. Let's just say that I got no sleep b/c I felt every direction I turned they were watching me. Kind of like a freaky Haunted Deer Mansion.

Cutest kids! Our family is going to be a bunch o'pirates for the DCA Halloween treat party too! When are you going to be there? We are going over Utah Escapes to Anaheim aka UEA (for you non-Utahn's it's a 2 day fall break from school and actually stands for Utah Education Association). Your costumes all turned out great! Mine are boring store-bought (with the exception of my puffy shirt) before I joined this inspiring bunch of sewing people.

I have a pair of Lelli Kellys for DD2. They are very similar to your DDs only in the hightop version. I was only able to get them because I got them on extreme sale for less than $30. I love them!

A picky Meat Eater I like that term. It sounds like me. My uncles used to hunt rabbits. My Grandmother would cook them in her spaghetti sauce. Ick Ick Ick. Thankfully Grandma would make us Fluffernutter sandwiches. Which is peanut butter and Marshmallow Fluff. MMMM only at Grandma's house.
