Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 4

I just finished one of my twins Aurora dress. I will say that it was NOT fun. I really don't care for it to be honest with ya. I used the Butterick B4320 pattern and the side skirt thingy.was a pain in my booty! I had an AURORA plastic charm from the pair of shoes we had 2 years ago and the girls out grew, so I cut them off the shoes and put it on the dress. Lets just say my 4 year old is happy with it, so let me get a crown, some shoes, and a bucket made. 1 down 3 to go!

You can't see, but the pink material has silver specks of glitter on it, and the pink sheer has pink plastic balls and irridescent glitter chunks on it. My DD helped to pick everything out. I wanted to do gold trim, but the silver specks would not have matched, so I will go with a pink beaded crown instead of the nicer, delux gold crown.

Im back. Did you all miss me or what? ... LOL!

But Anywhoo, here is the bag I just threw together with some fur, and pleather that I had laying around the house in my fabric stash. My DD loves it, so I'm happy.

These are beautiful! She will be the belle of the ball.princess: I love the pink fur bag. Good Luck with the next three!

Here's last year's Halloween costumes. Dh was Christopher Robin & I was Tinkerbell. Sadly I seem to have lost the only pic of all of us together.

Hello all!

Since we are in costume mode, I thought I would share mine!

Be gentle. :goodvibes A 12 pack of Dt. Pepsi Max and a 12hr. sewing marathon were not a good mix on the last outfit. I even broke my seam ripper trying to rip out a seam. Hmmm.... that should have told me right there and then to call it a night!

Anyway here are my pics.

She gave it two thumbs up on the comfy factor!:thumbsup2

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum for DW and I.

Should I add the name "Dee" and "Dum" on the collar? I thought I could use a fabric marker and add it, but wasn't sure. Let me know what you think?
We also have the hats with the little propeller on them.;) I figure this is the only place that you can look like a "Dork" and no one would think anything bad of you for it!

Tom- This is something your DD will remember fondly for the rest of her life. In thirty years she will tell people about what her Daddy did when she was in Kindergarden. Great Job!!!!

What?! You're not going to model the Dee and Dum costumes like your DD :rotfl2: . Your DD looks adorable in the Alice Costume. Great work. Have a great time on your trip.

Megan just asked, can't we see the Mommy and Daddy in the costumes? The Alice came out beautiful, but of course a sack would look good on that girl. Megan asked if we could make her an outfit, but I said her Daddy has that under control, LOL! :rotfl:

Thanks for the comments everyone!

DD looks a little disheveled in these photos.
She just got home from school and wanted to try it on, (over her clothes, mind you) so the hair was not properly done, and her white socks with black mary janes were not on either to complete the "look".

If I am brave enough, I will post pictures of us after we return "modeling" our Dee and Dum costumes!

I'll try not to stab myself in the leg with it. !
That REALLY HURTS!
I can use everyone's prayers and a bucket of Pixie Dust...

Hey UMA ~
THIS Aurora dress??? (heh heh. I made my sister make it for me!)

DisneyPhotoImage70.jpg

But I did make the Snow White - the sleeves were tough the first time, but once you figure it out, you realize that they are a SNAP.

DisneyPhotoImage32.jpg

These dresses are gorgeous!!! Very Very Pretty!
These are both awesome. I was going to do the Snow White but I would have had to modify the sleeves because I could not understand the directions with the cutting out everything for the red to show through. But my DD changed her mind anyway.
Here is the Easy to Sew Aurora Dress from Simplicity 5835. My mom made these a couple of years ago.

Wow, these are gorgeous!
I'm ready to put her in pink sweats and slap a tiara upon her sweet little blonde head and dare her to whine....

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Your daughter looks adorable!!! I can't wait to see pictures of you and your wife in your costumes!

I found some really cute bow directions and added them to the bookmarks site. There are directions for lady bugs, strawberries, butterflies and a bunch more! So Cute! The site they are on is really full of information! Be sure to check out the forum too. I've tried to add all the instructions to the bookmards individually, but there is so much there, I'm sure I missed some!

Tom- You know we're DYING to see Dee and Dum! :3dglasses

On the fabric marker, try it on a scrap first in case it "bleeds"!

I haven't broken a seam ripper, but last night, with the sewing machine needle firmly down on Aurora's sweet darling collar, I yanked it out and threw it in the trash. My family was in the room and knew nothing. My tantrum was swift. :cool2:

Alice looks positively adorable!

Enquiring minds (us) want to know when you're going to be at MNSSHP?

We had a BLAST!!!!! Every year, my ENTIRE family goes on a camping trip for a weekend in September. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, sisters  , Moms, neices, nephews, cousin's kids...... You get the idea. It is such a wonderful time to catch up with everyone, and we look forward to it all year long!!!
Wow Teresa...sounds like a perfectly wonderful time....what a great site too...Love the open space and the trails too! What special memories for all of the kids (and adults too!) Thanks so much for sharing! :goodvibes

Very nice! I love Tweedle Dee & Dum. I'm sure everyone will think you're great for dressing up with your dd like that.

Last year my sil & bil were Daisy & Donald Duck. Now those, my friends, are some BRAVE people. There's just no way to really be anything other than goofy (wait that's the wrong character :rotfl: ) in those outfits. Their dd loved it though.

Aw, good luck! Aurora was a bit of a tart though, flirting with strangers in the woods?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Very pretty!

Absolutely positively stinking gorgeous! Now I want that Aurora dress for me!!!!!!!

All You going this coming week...if you see the "real" Aurora with a black eye, and a-housewife-goes-crazy-on-poor-Princess-Aurora video clips on YouTube, you'll know it was ME! Just Sayin'.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Diet Pepsi Max all over my computer screen!!!!!!!!!

Again!!!!!

I can't wait to see the pic of all of you together!!!!!!

Yes. I think I will try the marker on a scrap first! Lordy knows I have plenty of scraps!
We are going to be at the MNSSHP on the 30th! Is that your day too? We might have to "meet up" and get our Alices together!

Here is the Native American pants I made for the Boy Scouts. They needed 4 pairs right away.

Don't mind my ds hiding his face, but he doesn't like have pics taken. His hair looks that way on purpose. In fact he spends a lot of time making his hair look like that.

Here is pics of the Halloween outfit I made the girls. Only 1 dd would pose for pics. Her hair looks that way, because she wouldn't let me comb it. I stole the idea of the shirt from this board (hope that is alright) also you can't see it very well but the skirt has a candy corn appliqué with the stones too.

I am still working on the High School Musical skirts for the dd's b-day party.
