Good Morning Sewers! (Which is spelled the same as the other "sewer")
So, in a mini-fit (invisible to the naked eye) I ripped the Aurora bodice off the skirt and am starting over!!!! Let's JUST say, that Aurora does not show THAT much cleavage...especially if she's 3. I think I've got it now though. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm doing this because the store-bought costumes are not as nice as homespun one's. Not as hot, not as scratchy, no one else has one just like it, plus Norah LOVES every thing I make. Which can and will take a turn for the worse in a few short years when she won't want to be caught dead in something mama-made.
Let me just say, that the official Aurora pattern is crazy confusing and I'm going back to EASY before I hurt someone![]()
And I'm doing the 4 more days dance! Looks a little like this:![]()
I hear you. I haven't used one of the 'officail' patterns yet, but a friend of mine whose little girl was at dds princess party used one to make a Snow White dress. She had to reread teh part for the sleeves several times & got me to look at it to see how I thought she was supposed to do it. It looked great when she got it finished though & her dd insisted on wearing to to Target before they came to the party.
Avery received her little surprise yesterday! Thank you so much

It's going to be in the mid 80's today so she got to wear it to preschool. I took a couple of pics this morning to share. It was still early so she wasn't smiling much (my daughter isn't a morning person). I can assure you she LOVES her *sparkley* watermelon outfit though! She picked out pink Cinderella panties to match it (all by herself, mind you).
I have a surprise coming your way now....you should get it in few days - I stopped by the post office this morning after dropping off the babes!
Steph, thanks again you sweetie-pie![]()
