Never mind, I just figured it out. Nothing like answering my own question. My girls are wearing the dresses to animal kingdom. I will get more pictures up soon.

Y'all have the cutest kids!!!!
Procrastination has worked in my favor this time. I invited one DSIL(like a sister) and her DD(6) to WDW with DD and I at Thanksgiving. I bought all of the fabric and patterns to make outfits for DN. Thay can't make it:sad: because her DH is taking their Dss hunting and the dates don't mesh. Good thing that I hadn't started sewing.
I had already invited new SIL to WDW with us in May. She was going to bring my nephew and niece. Bought more fabric and patterns-now they aren't going because of my goof ball brother. He came last year with the kids. He didn't have a good time. He's an idiot.
So, I figure I have enough fabric and patterns to make tons of outfits for my grandkids if my 2 sons would ever get married and give me grandbabies.

Here is my latest little ohana set!!!!
There is a little mickey on the top!!!

Lori,

This is beautiful. I love the white and the blue together. Did you use the YCMT pattern??? It really is great. Have fun with Lilo and Stitch.

I also reconstructed some tees for myself and my girls.

Y'all look so cute together! Love the shirts!

I am actually making customs for 5 kids all together. That is why I am sewing now for an Easter trip. 2 customs for each day has kept me very busy. Each girl is getting a different princess of their choice.

I feel your pain... I'm sewing for five also, well actually 4.5 since dd16 says she won't let me make her anything BUT I am making shirts for me.

Love them both!!!!!

Look at those little divas!!! The dresses are cute too! Did you make them?

I've got a couple of tees I made for adults. The first I made out of rhinestones. I glued them on using gem-tac. It was super easy. I printed the word onto sticker paper, then cut it out. I stuck the negative space down and used a chalk bag to fill in the word, then pulled off the sticker. The chalk provided a perfect guide for the rhinestones.

I also reconstructed some tees for myself and my girls.

I love all these! You guys look great! Love the lime green! :thumbsup2

Geesh, things just aren't working out, are they! You are still going though, right? We go in May, when will you be there?

I wish I could take credit for the outfits. My friend that has 3 young kids made them for me. I sent her the sizes and she made these adorible outfits. I love them. I'm going to have to make my girls try the other outfits on so I can post those pictures.

Don't fall for the face :) That is her please feel bad for me my leg hurts face! We fall for every time :rotfl2:

I can definately see how that face might get her a little bit of sympathy. ;) She is precious with or without a cast.

I also reconstructed some tees for myself and my girls.

OK How do you reconstruct tees? I am wearing a navy one like the green ones now and DD has already asked me why I did not do this for our last trip because she LIKED those lol. :rotfl:

I really like your Beauty and the Beast tees I am going to have to snag that idea as well. ;)

Your friend did a great job! I can't wait to see the other outfits!

Thanks for the tight advice so far. I would like to be able to find a subtle glitter or snowflake.

Jo Ann's clearanced a bunch of colors of rolled tulle. They are around $.99 and you get 20 yards. $5 tutu you cannot beat that!!!

They also got in black and orange. They are $2 a roll but still $10 for a tutu that full is great.

Hey I would love that! I saw some on voldemort for 10 bucks for a bolt. I would love to pay these prices you found! Unfortunately I don't have Joanns!!!

My daughter just got her cast off her arm a couple weeks ago.She had a wrist buckle fracture, She had a pink cast. Before her broken bone I had never seen any little ones with casts now I've heard so many stories and seen lots of little casts. Are you guys going to keep the cast? I have hers, I think we will keep it just to remember how little she was

Anyway you guys are all so talented- all the projects are SO CUTE!!
Makes me want to break out the sewing machine!! I'm more of a photographer-Although I am making a tinkerbell halloween costume for DD this year- with my grandmas help. She is a great seamstress!!! She is almost 89 and still works for a costume company, as well as making gifts for all the grandkids and great grandkids!!!! :cutie:

My mom still has my sisters cast and that was nearly 30 years go! It is so tiny!!!

There are a bunch of t-shirt reconstruction instructions in the bookmarks. Under sewing/tops/t-shirt reconstruction

My Mom wanted to keep Heather's, but the doctor threw it away! It was so cute! I thought I had a picture of her in it, but I can't find it. The only one I have you can't really see the cast.

Everything you have been working on is great. I am so impressed with all of the talent.

I LOVE the the Monsters Inc. outfit.

Aweeee that is the perfect face to go with the purple cast.. My son broke his leg last summer when he was 10 months old and had a blue one. It was a freak accident while hubby was holding him and the chair they were on broke. All I have to so is thank god there were witnesses lol

Hi -

We just lived through a toddler fracture - sliding board, foot got stuck - ouch!! but she was supposed to be casted until next wednesday, but a big chunk of the bottom came off this tuesday (after we got home from disney) so they xrayed and said she was good to go!!! too bad that didnt happen before our disney trip - time around the pool was tough!!! she was a pretty good sport though and although we didnt put her in any water, we still baggied up her leg in case she got splashed!! by the way - purple was a much better choice than pink which kind of turned gray after a week and a half - lol - is your little one walking on the cast? hannah is 14 months, and after about 2 weeks, she started walking everywhere with it on- she didnt like the cast boot though so we put a no slip sock on her foot!!

I am so glad she is not going to have this on for her Disney trip. She is bad enough at home:) We can not put the child down. I seriously fear she will not want to walk when it is off. She did take a few steps in to today, so I have a small glimmer of hope. I was glad we chose purple. My DH asked me if I was going to try to get something that matched the new fall line at Gymboree. Why didn't I think of that :confused3 I think I will try a no slip sock. Thanks for the idea.

I had never really notices small children in casts until after Katie got hers also. I have also had people stop me all over and say my son, daguhter... etc. had a fracture at that age. That has made me feel a little better. I am going to ask if I can keep it. Glad I am not the only one :)

I like the sash on your tshirt dress too! Your patchwork ruffles look great! I love the whole Wiggles outfit!
:grouphug: to your dd... that face is killing me.

Thanks for the compliments on my dress and Wiggles outfit.

Katie's face gets us every time. She has started to do the face and say "weg hurts" when she id getting in trouble. The girl is GOOD.

And, Poor Katie! Heather (hkite) broke her leg when she was 18 months old. It didn't slow her down a bit! to you.

Heather broke her leg on a really tall slide. My dad was taking her down it, and her little foot got caught in the top part (the handle part that goes a little way down the slide). It ripped her out of his arms and, flipped her around upside down, on the outside of the slide. She was hanging above our heads screaming. Mom and I could only stand there and hold our arms up hoping to catch her if she fell. It was too tall for us to reach her. Dad ran back up the slide and unhooked her. I don't remember how they came down though. It was really awful. It seems like it took forever, but I imagine it was only seconds that she was hanging there.

Kate's injury has not slowed her down either. Although she will not walk on the cast, she gets where she needs to be. She actually climbed back in the chair she jumped from today :confused3 Geesh, I thought she would have learned her lesson. So much for reasoning with a two year old :)

I saw a little girl fall off a slide and get her foot caught just like that when I was a teen. Now, I am the freakiest parent at the play ground. I am so afraid something like that will happen. I can not imagine how scared your parents were.

WOW 10 months... Poor little guy. I know what you mean about witnesses. I was terrified they would think it was abuse. Katie has Mongolian spots on her bottom and back. They look like bruises, so I thought they would see them and think we were hurting her. But, the doctor just told me about her daughter doing the same thing, put a splint on her and sent us off with a referral. They only looked at her leg. It was such a relief. Katie picked the color of her cast. The nurse asked her what color she wanted and she said "purple, teal and white, come on stars lets fight..." We just about died. She really thinks she is a cheerleader like her big sister. Leanne cheers for a competition team and they call Katie the gym baby since she has been there since day 2 :)

I also wanted to follow up with the ladies who helped me earlier with the YCMT site. I emailed them and she was great. They sent me a link to both of the patterns I purchased and gave me the points for them also. She said there was a dropped connection between there site and paypal, but it is all worked out. They are great. I will order from them in the future. Thanks again for the help.

Well here was my dilemma. My DD3, soon to be DD4, wants a Hannah Montana birthday party. Since she is so young I was wondering how I could meet her "demands" and still keep it young and light-hearted. So I made a tulle tutu using strips of different tulle. I added ribbon and decorations. Then I decorated a purple t-shirt with all kinds of bling and stickers. It says "Rock Star" on the front and "Life's What You Make It" on the back. She has pink leggins to wear underneath in case she wants to take it off at the party. Here it is:

My other projects included coordinating outfits for the girls for school. DD2's pants didn't fit at all. I followed the pattern but the rise was too short and I had to add a panel at the top of the pants. I fudged the mistake...hahaha :rotfl2: I also sewed the facing the wrong way so it ended up being a collar instead :confused3 . Here it is:

Finally I made matching nap blankets with their names on it. Here is DD3.9 modeling taking a nap at school :thumbsup2

I have one more thing to show you all. I "princessfied" an outfit but I havent taken pictures of it yet. Maybe tomorrow??? :rolleyes1 Thanks for looking! :goodvibes

I also reconstructed some tees for myself and my girls.

Please tell how you made that top a tank/halter for yourself. Love it!

I feel your pain... I'm sewing for five also, well actually 4.5 since dd16 says she won't let me make her anything BUT I am making shirts for me.

I didn't count the 3 adult women too that want to match the kids. The guys won't wear anything matching, guess I'm off the hook there.

The outfits are SOO cute! Little Katie is absolutely gorgeous herself, even with a broken leg and a sad face. I feel her pain! I don't remember breaking my leg when I was a baby, but I still have a fear of heights, big slides in particular...

And, I had both of those hats back in the 80's!

Heather broke her leg on a really tall slide. My dad was taking her down it, and her little foot got caught in the top part (the handle part that goes a little way down the slide). It ripped her out of his arms and, flipped her around upside down, on the outside of the slide. She was hanging above our heads screaming. She did, she looked just like C. Thomas Howell in one and Ralph Macchio in the other (if I mispelled their names, please forgive me, fellow 80's movie lovers)

Thank you for making me relive the traumatic events of "The Day The Slide Tried To Kill Me". Now, can you explain my aversion to sock monkeys, sharks, alligators, and clowns? Oh, and eating anything off of a wooden spoon and eating out of a styrafoam container?

These turned out super-cute! I love the name Josephine. I don't remember if I told you this already, but DH's wonderful grandma is named Josephine and we named our dog Josie, in her honor! :rotfl:

LOVE these!!!!!

That Hannah Montana outfit is great!! Gotta love the bling! DD4 loves Hannah Montana, but she doesn't like to watch the show. She just wants to be like her big cousins. The other two outfits are adorable and I love the personalized blanket idea.

When you were two? or so, you had a dream that you were eaten alive by alligators. I don't remember you being scared of them before that. Although, we David (our brother) and I had a rubber alligator that as I recall, you didn't care for. Sock Monkey's, I'm thinking has something to do with Uncle Earl, because I always associate the two, and I find them both REALLY creapy. I think the wooden spoon and styrofoam container are related. Remember those ice creams that came in the little styrofoam container with the wooden spoon? I don't remember anything bad happening with that, but you know how styrofoam will bring me to tears (literally, it does, I guess it's a styrofoam phobia), so I don't think that one needs a reason!

Clowns are CREEPY, no explenation needed there! and, sharks, well, JAWS came out when you were very little, or where you even born yet? David was obsessed with it, and use to pretend that there were sharks everywhere there was water. And, sharks have BIG teeth!

A-HA!!! It's all David's (our older brother) fault!! I knew it all along! No wonder I just "knew" there were sharks in the pool.

I have seen a few posts about a really good book for sewing. Does anyone recall the name of it? I want to try and find a copy, especially for those midnight to 2 AM sewing sessions when my mind goes to jelly
