Remember these?

Well, I made this tonight for dd2 to wear with!
th_DVC00924.jpg

Sorry about the crummy pics, but they do match!!!

I remember that outfit. I always thought it was so cute. The bow is adorable, too. We don't see too many customs made with Donald Duck. It's DH's favorite character, although he usually acts like Grumpy. If only he could be more like Captain Jack.

Does anyone know if you can applique fleece? I'm making a snow themed outfit, and I want the snowflakes to be something that may resemble snow - any suggestions?

I appliqued fleece on my MM santa hat t-shirt. The white part and ball on the hat are both fleece. I think it came out ok, there are fuzzies that stick out but I haven't washed them yet.

Crap, I messed up the quotes again. Dang it!

Oh, I miss Disney right now and I just had to spend $350 getting a tree trimmed this morning and I have an entire bathroom ripped out of my house. Money is pretty much spoken for around here for a while. Real life stinks sometimes. I am seriously pouting right now.

I agree... DOWN WITH REAL LIFE, though I've found wearing my wedding Tiara while I'm cleaning the house really does help!!! One day I had my "Domestic Princess" Tiara on b/c I had to be super wife and clean up and make dinner before a musician friend of his arrived for dinner and a mini jam session. As he pulled in and I heard DS yell "MOM GEOFF'S HERE!!!" I looked at B and was like UGH! You weren't going to tell me I was still wearing "THE" tiara!! He was like, ah, it's only Geoff, leave it on-it's cute. Geoff did ask why I had a tiara on and I told him b/c I'm a princess he just nodded and said "well, yeah".

I would love to get to DW with just dh, but we'll have to see if that will ever happen. The only way I can see it is if we go with the girls and get anual passes and go pretty close to the same time. It stinks being so far away. Our airfaire adds about $1000 to our trip. If we lived within driving distance we would go much more often. Heck, if we lived within driving distance to anything fun we would be there more often too!
Last Nov. I was surfing the DVC boards (little did I know the financial turn we were about to make) and I ran across a diser w/ a ressie he couldn't keep for 1 night in a 2 BR at OKW. He didn't want to rent it out, just to find someone close enough to make a short notice trip to use it so it wasn't wasted. SCORE we had bought 3 day passes in OCT during our annual MNSSHP trip and only used 2 days. The ressie happened to be on B's birthday so I figured it was destiny and even though we had just been to WDW we could squeeze in another trip. So we had a weekend alone NO KID's!!! The first night we stayed at OKW and the 2nd night at the Allstar resort- I don't have to tell you which one I liked better!!! I know WDW is only 70 miles from me so I have a much better shot than most people at taking a trip sans kids but it was SO much fun. We really had a great time. It is a very different experience. I would suggest it to anyone who can do it.

This made me spit out my Coke... I just bought some troll fabric cause I thought it was cute at Joanne's when they did the 1/2 off clearance fabrics... I think I am going to make some sort of dress out of it... cause nothing DD has will go with it!!!!

I have two outfits to share a little later this evening if I can get my booty on the computer tonight!

1. There has been a lot of drink spitting going on around here. I'm going to have to invent a splash guard for keyboards. I'll be RICH!!!!
2. I have 2 things to show too. Lily's Princess Pillowcase Dress is done and it's too long so- no bloomers which is actually just fine, then I don't have to make them and I have more princess fabric left for something else. and I never did get Pics of her minnie dot outfit up. I will try to get pics before the weekend.

I would love to go to dw with hubby we never had a honeymoon. :sad2: We got married 3 days after I turned 21 so next month will be 7 years on the 18. I can't believe I am going to be 28 on the 15.:scared1: I feel so old.
Enjoy it while it lasts...30 is just around the riverbend!!! (hey, at least we're not 40-right, UTAHMAMA:lmao: )

I don't have a wedding tiara, I wore a beaded headband. I guess I could borrow one of M's, she has plenty. I like that idea!

Look what I did today! I spent all day on it: it was hard!

I didn't have the sleeve problems that Heather had because I did the short sleeves: they were actually pretty easy. It's not even done because the directions say to make a thread chain to go around the button in the back. Do the directions say how to make a thread chain? Noooooo! Anyway, I am ripping up jeans now to try to make decoupage jeans to go with it: thanks LisaZoe for the directions!

TeresaJoyce: Jacob. The most popular boy's name in 1999 (we didn't know!).

Definitely consider the cost of your materials, fees, etc. plus your time. Doubling or tripling the cost of your materials is a good starting point as is taking into consideration the complexity of the design. I really think people starting out need to set their starting price at the minimum they can accept for an item. Too often I think new sellers see auctions start at $.99 and end really high but those are almost always auctions of established sellers. I would also suggest against using a reserve since I've heard many buyers say they won't bid if there is a reserve. Again, more established sellers can do well with a reserve but even they don't always get the price they want. Good luck!

Thanks for these tips!
Really nice to know!
Never know when I might need this valuable information! ---cough---;)

I know what you mean about feeling old- I was just training a new employee yesterday and she is 19. I'm 27. And generally I don't feel old or even think that I'm old. But just talking with her it reminded me of how long ago it was that I was 19, It seems like forever ago!!! I got married 4 days after turning 19. So I have been married for 8 years already- Where does the time go.......
Well back to the sewing machine for me- 15 days til we leave :scared1:
Tell me about it. Between the twin 2yo or the big first grade 6 yo I am beat. Thats why I am so excited. and I just scored huge I bet my hubby about being wrong about the prizes for megans school fundraiser. And he lost. So here is what I get.

1. And new hair cut.
2. My hair dyed.
3. A new pair of Jeans
4. I get to make a shirt for dland on sunday.

I so rocked that on. :woohoo: :yay: :cool1: And he thought he was going to get away with just giving me a kiss. I can get those even if I lost the bet. Sorry for going on and on I just had to share.

This is the dress that Drew wore in her pictures that my nephew took. I am not sure how I feel about it. I loved the fabric when I bought it , but after I put it together I thought it might look a little "jammyish". I don't know.

The green in the background is the sweater Riley wore. The colors looked pretty together anyway. I am anxious to see the pictures to see if I like the dress in them or not. I really wanted something kinda classic and old fashioned but I'm not sure if this worked for that.

STEPH... That top is SO GREAT!!!  I bet Megan is just THRILLED. I don't know how to make a thread chain either, I can't say I've ever been asked to.

Does anyone have pics of lightly decoupaged jeans. I am UBER picky and I just don't like the way they stop at the top of the leg...to me it looks like they didn't get finished. Has anyone decoupaged jeans w/ out doing the ENTIRE leg?

HELP: DH is playing at an ice cream shop on sunday and they've asked him to do more covers than he did last time....He hates covers well, he doesn't like to do that many, he's a songwriter he wants to play his own stuff. I have offered to do some songs for him to help out. Plus there are a couple of other places he does covers and they are long sets so he usually has a friend play too, if I go then he doesn't have to rely on someone else to come out to play. SOOOOOO.... I need a set list. We don't go out to see coverbands very often because we like to support original artists when we're out. What songs would you like to hear if you were out w/ friends??? They don't have to be limited to female artists. here are some of the songs we've been working on.
I Don't Know Why- Norah Jones
I'm Gonna Be Strong-Gene Pitney (later covered by Cyndi Lauper)
Building a Mystery- Sarah McLaughlin
Bizarre Love Triangle-as covered by Frente
Son of a Preacher Man- Dusty Springfield
Me and Bobby McGee- Janice Joplin
Not an Addict- K's Choice
Angie-Rolling Stones
You Were Meant For Me- Jewell (this song was retired but we might play it..)

any suggestion?? Thanks guys!!!

Hi all. Have'nt been posting much lately because I've been busy getting ready for a trip to NOLA next week and trying to get all the comstume stuff together for hubby and I for the LeStat Vampire ball there (I'm still trying to find a pair of victorian looking shoes) But I thought I would post aa few pics of Kiley's BTS outfit. It got here a little late for BTS ( I was going to save it and let her wear it during American Eudcation week)but when we had our first cool day her in Maryland I let her wear it. Sorry about how the pics look my camera is kinda sucky (for lack of a better word) and I should have used hubby's. His is much nicer, but oh well whattaya gonna do ? :) .

ohhh that is so pretty! I like it a lot. DId you design that yourself or did you use a pattern? I love the fabrics you used.

There's that "perfect child" of yours :lmao:

If every one was buying TROLL fabric, I'd find a use for it!

Remember talking about making an outfit for each attraction... well a TROLL outfit would be perfect for Maelstrom!!! :rotfl:

Ahhhh, don't we all wish our dh was more like Cpt Jack!!

I like!

I made these, they are size 3T and go up to the knee.

Here are a few outfits I've done for my dd. I have one more that I've done but no picture and I'm smocking another dress for her that has Ariel and the other Mermaid characters.

Sorry for the bug eyed look! She was wired last night and didn't want to calm down!
