What a special little girl you have!
Thank you!

Everyone's Tiara ~
Can I just say you must have done something really well because you are raising an amazing little girl! :goodvibes: I will be on the look out for anything else like the coral reef thing for you to do for her. She definately is very deserving!
I'd appreciate that. Thank you very much!

Oh PLEASE C.A.S.E. me!! I've never been cased! Will you post pictures when you are done??
I'll show you as soon as I can get them made!

Okay, I finally had some time to get the pictures off of my camera and uploaded. These aren't Disney creations, but I hadn't sewn in years and feel like I need some practice before I cut up the Disney fabric.

This was my first project. I even did this without a pattern.

I havent seen raggedy ann forever. She was popular when i was little, lots of memories.

How about a mom and me spa treatment at the Grand Floridian? Perhaps it could be while the younger two are on pirate cruise? In any case, it sounds like you have a great daughter there!
Thank you! I like the idea of the spa treatment!

I cant wait to see what you do when you get started on Disney stuff!

Woops..... what is it..... molder-bay? volder-bay??? Shoot, I can't remember the code word.... :goodvibes

WOW! She may not be perfect (who is??), but that is one GREAT girl. I know you have to be very proud of her.
Thank you!

I love your Alice dress....It's gorgeous....do you care to share what pattern you used....I love it!!!

It's McCall's Costumes MP226. I added the ric- rac based on past pictures I have of the Alice(s) in WDW. I chose not to add the collar which would make it more authentic. I also have the apron detachable. It's just sewn to the grossgran ribbon. I did an heirloom hem on the bottom, which didn't show very well. Just to make it more special.

This is a really good Dorothy pattern, I would think. Pretty easy, except it's only my second zipper. The zipper is ok and functional, but I'm thankful for her longer hair. :rolleyes1

The fabric was only $2.00 at WM and I'm not sure if she'll clash when standing next to the "real" Alice, but oh well!

I wanted the apron ebroidered with Alice and her "autograph", but I didn't want a iron on one(nor did I like the Vodemort selection) so it's just plain.

Confession: I stuck a walmart bag into each sleeve to make it poofy-er. SHHHH!

While we're in WDW, at Playhouse Disney is Choo Choo Soul!!!! They are really good! NO idea what to dress in. OF COURSE she'll need a whole ensamble! Something hip and edgey ....yet for a preschooler. Hmmmmmm? Any ideas from the peanut gallery? (Does ANY one under the age of 75 say Peanut Gallery anymore??) :rotfl2:

No Eyeore's Tiara. We are going to New York and then to WDW. We re also stopping to Malaysia on the way out and on the way home. We were in WDW last year in May with only our family , we are bring two other families from Australia this time. So 12 in total look out WDW. I have been to Texas though. My DH and I were there in 1998 before kids. He was working at Lovedale Airport(I think that is what it is called in Dalls) for a few weeks and we stayed in Dallas for about 4 weeks then headed of to have a look around. I just love it. We have been to LA, Gran Canyon. Las Vegas, Yosemite, Seattle, and some time in Canada. I would come ever year if we could afford it. Actually I would love my DH to come and work in the US for a year or so. He is an Aircraft Maintence Engineer so he could do a job swap but he is not sure. I will keep my fingers crossed.

I LOVE the Raggedy Ann outfit!

Wait, what's this picture doing here?
WOOPS!!! Hehehe, geesh Corey, I have NOOOOO idea!

Lookie, that's my baby boy positng all by himself, and he even made a thumbnail!

I've been lurking on this board and have posted a few things that I have bought from other disboard members. After seeing some hand sewn creations, I decided to give it a try. Now I just need to get a sewing machine...these took forever to make!

Here is my first creation. My dd picked out the fabric (it was already pre-shirred)

Very cute, I love this print!

I love this! The striped pattern as a border looks so perfect! I don't see why she can't wear it at Disney, but it looks like it will get lots of wear either way. So cute! Look I made a thumbprint: first try!

Ok, I decided to put the Epcot top away for a while so I could think and gather everyone's responses. Thanks to everyone who helped.

Here is the animal kingdom outfit for Jacob (thank you Camping Griswalds for the tree):

th_100_1668.jpg

It seems to be missing something to me. It doesn't say "Disney" to me or even "Animal Kingdom." I'm not really sure what to add. Probably something from the tiger print fabric I used for the shorts, but I'm not sure. Opinions are welcomed (and needed). Thanks again!

Oops Teresa, I just noticed that you got busted! I hope your son has the same sense of humor that you and your sister have! :)
I love it!!! It's very cute!!! You did a great job. Could you sneak a lhidden Mickey in there somewhere?

Yes, Corey has an excellent sense of humor! He is always making me laugh! He gets my jokes, so that's a good thing!!

Sorry so BIG! YIKES! To thumbnail, put th_ before the P in the IMG code

WOW - I bought tickets here in Seattle - $130 for two including all fees.

My neice (our brother's daughter) would LOVE to go to a Hannah Montanna concert, but the one here is around $100 a ticket. At least, that's all I've seen online. Too bad, it would just make her SOO happy to go!

One more serger question. Do you buy serger thread for every single project like you do thread? Or do you have a few basic colors since it's on the seam and not seen? I'm seeing how this thread could get pretty pricey!

Although I have bought a lot of colors (50% off sales at JoAnns help), I mostly use white. Since the thread doesn't really show from the outside, I'm not as concerned about matching the right side of the fabric. In fact, the white thread seems to blend better with the wrong side of the fabric than a darker color would in many cases. Also, since I often use 3 or more prints, I have trouble deciding which is the main color so sticking with the basic white is easier. ;)

I bought extra white and then I had to surge black fabric:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I think I will get black and pink to add to the white.

I usually use white unless it's going to show. Right now, I have two spools of white, one lt. blue and one yellow on there! I have four spools on standby for when I figure out how to do a rolled hem!

Going back to lurkmode! We officially started homeschool today... but I did get A-R-I-E-L appliqued onto dd6's capris after everyone went to bed! Now I just need to work up the courage to do Ariel on the other leg!

Oh, and I used the Magic Sizing on my fabric for dd2's Little Einstein outfit, that stuff is cool!
