Use this picture to figure out which one you need.

Congratulations on your new machine!!!!! And, I LOVE my ruffler attachment, I don't know why I waited so long to get one!!

Also, I was in JoAnn's and Disney was on sale and I found this adorable Tink fleece. I think Megan needs a new outfit for our trip, don't you?

 Beware of this pattern! I just made Tessa the pajamas (view C, the pants and long sleeved shirt) and they came out pretty small. She is 43" tall, 19" waist, 20" chest, and 20" hips. I made her the size 5 and added a little bit of length to the pants. But, they still came out almost too short. The sleeves are too short and the length of the top just cover the waist band of the pants. I've re-read the pattern and don't see where I did anything wrong- my seams are even a little bit narrower than the pattern calls for. I'm going to try and get her to try it on so I can show you what I mean.

Well, I figured out how to add a photo to my sig, so now you can see my princesses.
I love the picture in your siggy! Your girls are adorable! Everyone should have a pic in their siggy or an original avatar. That's the only way I recognize people on here! ;o)

LOL! We have more pictures like this than I care to count!

Just please, make it all worth my while by telling me you really did notice I wasn't here and you missed me!! :rotfl2:  :teeth:
I have been counting the hours until your return. Every time I get on the board, I anxiously anticipate the latest post from karebear1, to no avail, *sigh* until now!! :welcome: BACK!!! (No, there is not even a hint of sarcasm in this reply ;) )

You posted that just because you knew it would make me laugh, didn't you!
Yes, I most certainly did!
I LOVE the matching outfits! Heather and I and our entire family are going in May, and we have discussed and actually bought fabric for some Minnie inspired shirts for us, our sister-in-law and our Mom!
If you e-mail me a picture of the pattern, I'll post it with the fabric!

I missed it, if anyone posted a reply, yet ... so, sorry if this is a repeat.

Did anyone find/need a source for LARGE RICK RACK?
WRIGHTS makes it ... "MAXI RICK RACK" ...
several colors, 1 1/4" wide ...
the metallics are 1" wide :)
sold by the spool (or in yards off a spool retail) ...

I found this in a search. ( *CLICK ME* )

The 7 colors, on the right, have the best price, that I could find.
Here's the search ( *CLICK ME* )

There's tons of other brands, sizes, colors out there, too ...

Hopefully, that helps. :)

Thanks!!!

WOWZA!! I LOVE this gorgeous dress!

My daughter at 4 (and a half) princess: begs to go to Super Target for Sushi and Frappachinos - NOPE She's not mine! I SWEAR! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Wow, my DD (who is also almost 4 1/2) just wants to get frozen Mountain Dew and popcorn. I guess her tastes aren't as sophisticated as your DD!!:rotfl:

MY dd3 does the tongue thing too. I should post my many bloopers. Like when she said she was "shaking her money makers" OHHHHH! I promise I have no idea who taught her THAT! So smart to save them for the teenage years....
:lmao: :rotfl2: OH MY GOSH! That is SOOOO FUNNY!!!! :rotfl:

You, my friend, are SOOO good!

See above comment.

I know this is OT but I have to say that the way that little girl models is a bit provacative and it disturbs me. There are a few other little girl models on Voldemort that pose in a very adult way and it just sickens me.
I'm with you!! I can stand the silly faces and perfectly coifed hair (not so crazy about makeup on little girls), but I hate it when they are posing suggestively!
This was posted on another board I belong too. We don't have a Joann's :( but I figured someone here could use it.

Thank YOU!!!!

Hkite and Theresa Joy, I have a friend with two daughters. Her girls are named Lydia and Tess!
I hope your little guy is feeling better! Tell your friend she has GREAT taste in girl's names!

This was taken yesterday on the first day of school. DD8 & DD4 the big 3rd grader and the big pre-K girl. My baby is a big girl now.

They're adorable! I feel for you, I can't imagine how badly I'll take it when Tessa starts kintergarden next year.

Our machines are twins!

I use a low shank ruffler. It was my Mom's ruffler and she had a singer also.

Have Fun!!!

So, is the machine still no clearance? I left the WM fabric dept. about 45 minutes ago!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, I can go back for that price!![/QUOTE]

PED software yes, sewing machine not on clearance at the two WM's I was at. Still running around $394.00

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: The hardest part about multiquoting once you do figure it out is remembering why you multiquoted....
That is SOOOOO true!!!!

Oh, how cute are they!??!!!
Nice work!

Also, has anyone else thought about designing a banner for people like us who enjoy boutique/custom clothes? I know the WISH board has clipart and the Photography board has a banner that members have added to their siggy.

I would, but I am extremely busy trying to keep up with everything in my life as it is... Anyone? ;)
I love that idea! Does anyone have the skills to do it?? Please, someone try this! :flower3:

does everyone remember my twins BTS sets?

Well, I made these braclets to match them. My girls start pre school on the 4th.

Cute!! Where did you get the crayon beads?

hmm, woops, I erased everything instead of leaving something that would make my reply make sense, oh well......

I'll answer anyway, even though I erased it. I just sent you an email with the pattern.

I just had to share with you all a little something that happened at my brand spanking new Super Walmart.

As you may or may not remember, we got a brand new SUPER Walmart, right here in my town this month!!! WOO HOO With, a fabric department!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: (I don't think this guy should dance alone either) Anyway, they have Simplicity and New Look patterns (I know, Simplicity makes them both) but they only have New Look pattern books. So, I am in there the other day, and a customer asks the lady running the fabric department if they have pattern books so she can find the pattern she wants. The girl working there is totally confused, and opening up a New Look pattern book, says, "I just don't understand how you can make something using these books. How do you know how to make it?" She flips through the pattern book, with a very confused look on her face. The customer then very calmly says, "THIS is not the pattern, this is the book that you look at to know what pattern you want. But, you don't have a pattern book for the Simplicity patterns." The employee then, quite excitely says, "Well, we have patterns in these drawers here, and you can tell what they are, because there are numbers on them and on the drawers." (I seriously felt pretty bad for this poor girl, because she obviously had NO sewing experience whatsover.) The customer, without laughing (which I was having a hard time not doing while evesdropping) said, "You need a book so you can tell what pattern number to look for." Then, as if a lightbulb just went off in the poor employee's head said, "You mean these books aren't the patterns????? I have told people they were $....(however much those New Look patterns usually are) I am going to have to tell my manager that we need the books."

Ok, that is sad, that this poor girl was placed in a department with so little knowledge. Fast forward two weeks now.....

I was in the fabric department looking around again, still no pattern books. So, I approached the associate working there (a different lady than before) and told her that they really needed to get some of the pattern books in, so people could buy patterns. Her reply to me was, "Well, we weren't even suppose to HAVE a fabric department." to which I replied, "Yes, but you do, and you should really have some pattern books." She said, "Well, somene doesn't seem to think we do." Very strange responses, if you ask me.

Ok, is anyone still following along? YEAH if you are!!!! Thanks!

So, today I decide that I am going to call Simplicity myself and find out what is going on with the pattern books. After trying to figure out who I was and why I was calling the Simplicity rep was REALLY nice. She said that they should have books, and didn't understand why they didn't. She said that NO ONE from the store had called to tell them that they didn't have any books in. She thanked me many times for calling, and told me that she was going to contact the store to see what was going on.

Is that crazy or what??? Why couldn't someone at the store have actually done that? I am a little slow, but I bet you guys have figured out what probably happned to those pattern books, haven't you? I bet that employee sold them! :rolleyes1

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!!!

I love that idea! Does anyone have the skills to do it?? Please, someone try this! :flower3:

I can make something up in Photoshop. Do we want a banner, or a blinkie? Any suggestions as to what should be in it? If you guys want to give me some feedback, I'll get to working on it.

Oh Teresa, that is hilarious!!! :rotfl2: What in the word (to use my daughter's expression) are they thinking!?

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!!!

I get so frustrated with Wally's. I am a Target girl but have been shopping at WM for fabric.

Last night someone stapled my fabric!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I cried a little.

Funny- I told DH I needed bread. We were near Walmart. Oh lets just go there. hehehehe

I vote for glitter and sparkles!!!! Sounds pretty cool, thanks revrob.

Okay, here are the jammies I made Tessa using the pattern that Stephres posted. I haven't added the elastic yet because I am contemplating putting a ruffle on the bottom of the shirt and the sleeves.

This was the best picture I could get, as she was trying out all sorts of different "model poses" and wouldn't stand still:

Here's Sawyer's pajama pants that I made a few weeks back. Yes, I intentionally cut the fabric out upside-down so he could see the Mickey heads when he looks down at it. Of course I did! What kind of mother do you think I am, anyway? :rolleyes1 Don't even get me started on the disaster that was the matching shirt....

This is just because they were being so stinkin' cute:

Gosh, so many cute things posted again today! I am so inspired by this thread!!

Do you all think that maybe teaching how to do these cute little twirly skirts would be good?? How long does it take to actually do one from start to finish?

If you can either repond to this thread or pm with your ideas I would so appreciate it!

YOU"RE ALL THE BEST!
I did my first one this week, with very little experience under my belt, and did it in about 2 hrs from start to finish....maybe a bit less.

Sounds to me like girl #1 SOLD the 'pattern books' a few weeks ago for the price that was on the cover advertising the actual pattern prices :for sure lmao: That is hysterical. I have often wondered why people are placed in depts that are so specific like that with no experience. I am guessing they had a hard time staffing it, but they need to try to train them or something!

OOOOHHHHH!!! SPARKLES!!! AND GLITTER!!! I love it!!!

I think everything looks great, actually! Brian just walked in and said, "Why ar the Mickeys all upside down." Me-"So Sawyer can see them, GEESH" Brian- "Why aren't Tessa's upside down?" me-"ummmmm......Because she's OLDER! Geesh!" MEN!

I love the picture of Tessa and Sawyer together!! SO CUTE! (Say that with a South African accent if you know how.)

Ok, Lydia has to play Putt-putt now....

Me again! Tereajoy and I are planning to make matching shirts for ourselves and SIL using this pattern and this fabric. We'll make my mom something out of the fabric, too. But, she didn't want this style shirt. We plan on having the girls wear something made out of minnie dot, too. Of course, we have until May '08 to get this stuff done.

See, it's sheer! Don't worry, we plan to wear a shirt underneath. We wouldn't want to scar our fellow Disers forever!

FINALLY Someone that loves and appreciates me for all that I am!! Life's good!

Well,

DD pretty well at the school part of preschool. Nap is another story. It is going to be a problem. Oh well, not mine. They are going to have to figure it out.

She was so bored during nap she picked the ric rac and monkeys off of her shoes!!!

If I painted them once I can do it again. I will just have to shelac them 20 times!

I almost bought that same fabric! I sat there for 10 minutes deciding between that and the Tink. You should make her a matching pillow with it. Thanks for posting the pictures: I am hoping the short sleeve short nightgown will be long enough, otherwise it's back to the store for me!

Oh, and I am laughing so hard at the upside down Mickeys! Um, laughing with you not at you of course! :rotfl:

I am so disappointed not to see you guys go braless in this fabric! Think of all the attention you would get from characters then!
