I just made this for a friend's 8 year old, for her birthday present.
She does not like "frilly, ruffly" things to wear.
It only took about 1-1.5hrs.
The fabric's from last year. It's the wall/quilt panel, that came on a yard with 2 pillow panels. It was on clearance at Wallymart, not long back.
I'm not sure it'll fit on a smaller Tshirt or dress, but if you can figure out how to "wrap-it-around" just right, IT MIGHT?!
I'm going to add some glittery fabric paint before I give it to her. Gotta have pixie dust!
I suggest HANG DRY ONLY on this one, for easier care/no iron.
I would have loved to applique it onto a SKIRT for her, but I'm not sure she'd wear it.
FOR THOSE THAT DON'T SEW or are NEW-TO-SEWING =
You can make this! Use Under-Wonder to attach the design, and then use clear fabric paint to seal all the edgesSuper Easy & Fun! You can even have the kids help.
What a beautiful shirt!
Thank you so much for posting an idea for non-sewers. I've been stressing about how to keep the edges from fraying. My mom said she'd do a zig zag stitch, but I'm scared it will mess the clothes up and I'll be out lots of money. I can't figure out how to explain the little stitch I've seen here around appliques...
