Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 2

Well, not too much sewing today. I finished an apron top that I had been working on. It has Epcot on one side, and Disney on the other. It's reversible.

i love this! I am going to tackle one of these shirts next week I just got the pattern!

This is phenomenal!! What a great idea to make it reversible- is that for your trip or someone else's????

I had this drying rack, that I never ended up using.
then an idea hit me ... CUT IT UP ! yeah!
So, I did & ended up with two mesh circles
With a door hook, I clipped one of these circles to the inside of my daughter's closet door ...
All of her clippy bows fit on it!
FINALLY! a safe place for store them.
And it was super cheap = and 2 for 1 ! ...

I guess I could wrap pretty ribbon around the edges & hang it in her room
I could give it "ears" & make it mousey ...
another project to add to the list

I finished DD's babydoll/twirl top that goes with her Smiles Around the World capri set!!

Here's the original set. It's great on it's own!! I loved the fabric so much that I made a twirl top to go with it!!

I made the top to match. I couldn't come up with a fabric I loved for the bodice so I used a denim looking material.

She's "modeling" the pantleg!?!

Is this fabric available online? I have to have some lol. I keep looking and looking and it will be perfect for the international dinner at epcot.

These are handpainted! I also have her JoJo set, and she did a matching Goliath tee fo DS2!! I love her stuff!!

These are very cool. Now I had always assumed that paint would peel and crack. Do you know at all what kind of paints she used?

The pictures don't do it justice. I love how it came out. I even did the straps reversible. One side is black and the other is white. I still have little Mickey heads to sew onto the ends of the ties and then I think it will be completed. Yea!

Your apron tops are the cutest! I finally broke down and bought the fabric you used on the first one...another one where I am clueless as to what to do with it, but I've got it sitting here now.

OMG...I just realized this is all one top! How cool is that? Now that cuts down on all the outfits you'd have to pack for a trip to the mouse!

I dont know why people just cant let other people enjoy themselves,its ridiculous. Everyone here is just helping each other out and I dont see whats wrong either with telling each other where to get something made. Over on the theme park board there are two threads going now you might want to check out because its about custom clothes. some one was complaining because a mother changed her daughters custom outfit to match the princess ,in the restaurant,,she was only 3! I dont see why that should bother someone,its a disney character restaurant for heavens sake,different than a formal dining place as far as Im concerned. Anyway, they had some comments about mothers and their custom clothes and pagents.They dont get its got nothing to do with pagents,its all about the pics and the memories and the magic.

Such a shame. That's what turns me off to a lot of threads throughout the boards at times. I find myself unsubscribing to threads when they turn testy and sour. There is always one person who feels the need to create problems to bring some twisted joy into their boring lives. Its really very sad. Live and let live. I don't know why posting pics, recommending sellers or some mom changing her kid at a character meal would bother anyone. Who would even care if someone else WAS a pageant mom...what impact does it have on other people? I don't get it. I guess its much easier to stir the pot from behind the anonymity of a computer keyboard though. I pray I never get like that.

I saw that thread, too. My first thought was what's the big deal? My next was I wonder if it's someone from the Custom Clothes thread?

I don't understand why the pics had to come down, either. I love seeing all the clothes. It gives me ideas, although I don't think I'll ever attempt an apron top. It looks way too hard. And reversible is definitely out of my league!

Need some opinions...

I have an adorable pirate tutu set for DD for Halloween. I want to make her a cool Trick or Treat bag to match, so I bought a black tote at Hobby Lobby, but I can't decide what to put on it.

I thought this was cute, but the hair bothers me a little. (DD is only 3, so not too scary!)

Or I thought this was sort of cute for a ToT bag...booty=candy... but maybe too "suggestive" for a 3 year old? (not to me, but I guess other people might think its weird?)

Oh I like the last one the best! Very cute. I don't think the booty is suggestive of anythink in this case. There is a treasure chest in the picture. I bet it will be cute. Don't forget to post a picture.

I'm still so confused!!! If they are pics of your kids with clothes on that you purchased why did you have to remove them? Did a mod tell you that you had to remove them? Those outfits are amazing and inspiration to all of us!!!

Yes, those are my kids in the pictures. I did not make any of the outfits. The pictures that I had to remove were of the adorable outfits that "the_seamstress" made for me. She is an awesome person and does FLAWLESS work!!!!!!!!!!! I want to make sure that everyone knows how wonderful she is and that she was NOT the person that I was referring to.

I am not quite sure who is the cause of all this trouble so I just thought that it would be best to remove the pictures and be done with it!!!! I really do love to share pictures of my kids in their boutique outfits but I may have to be more careful in the future!!!!

I hope you reported this to the moderator. It doesn't seem right that you would be harassed. You were sharing photos of Kids in their custom clothes in WDW. That is the topic of this thread. It didn't seem like you were trying to sell anything which I think we all know is against DisBoards rules.

I hope no one was making rude comments about your children.

I don't think that you should do this kind of thing in the restaurant. But then again I am not sure of why it even is a topic of a thread. Who cares? She did it and oh well. Nothing anyone can do about it now.
