LOL about the hair. It does look a little funny, huh? I think the "booty" thing might be cute.

Thanks for responding....you're the only one! :rolleyes1

I think the pirate girl is really cute, but the don't touch my booty is hilarious! You could do one on each side of the bag.

I stumbled across this thread today, and now I am totally inspired to start a small project. I did see a link for easy to make twirly skirts, now can't seem to find it. Can anybody help direct me to the right location. Thanks. Loving all of these custom designs you are all so talented.

Yes, those are my kids in the pictures. I did not make any of the outfits. The pictures that I had to remove were of the adorable outfits that "the_seamstress" made for me. She is an awesome person and does FLAWLESS work!!!!!!!!!!! I want to make sure that everyone knows how wonderful she is and that she was NOT the person that I was referring to.

I am not quite sure who is the cause of all this trouble so I just thought that it would be best to remove the pictures and be done with it!!!! I really do love to share pictures of my kids in their boutique outfits but I may have to be more careful in the future!!!!

SORRY!!!!!
I've read to the end of the thread and I'm still confused. What was the trouble??

Don't know if the directions that you want are here or not but on the very first post there is a link to different instructions that teresajoy has put together.
Good luck.

Is this fabric available online? I have to have some lol. I keep looking and looking and it will be perfect for the international dinner at epcot.
You can buy it here: http://www.thespiderswebfabricshop....productid=c458868_06_jpg&pid=1#c458868_06_jpg
If you really want it you shouldn't wait to get it. It used to be available at a lot more stores.

These are very cool. Now I had always assumed that paint would peel and crack. Do you know at all what kind of paints she used?
So I quoted the wrong post, but I love the painted tees!

Well, here it is, my very first completed sewing outfit. Before this, the only thing I have ever sewn were 2 baby blankets (which were within the past month). I bought my sewing machine because DH was having a heart attack over how much money I was spending on customs for DD. Hopefully, I will get good enough that I won't have to buy many more customs. Any way. .. here it is custom NEMO (DD is the model -- she has half of a POC tattoo on her cheek :confused3). Also, ignore the dirty pool ... I didn't clean it this morning because I have been sewing this outfit.

Welcome to the thread! I think you did a great job on it and such a cute daughter. Love the dimples :)

I hope you reported this to the moderator. It doesn't seem right that you would be harassed. You were sharing photos of Kids in their custom clothes in WDW. That is the topic of this thread. It didn't seem like you were trying to sell anything which I think we all know is against DisBoards rules.

I hope no one was making rude comments about your children.
THey looked adorable in their clothes and I am grateful you shared the photos.

Some people are just strange :scared1:

I too removed pictures of my DD from this board for a similar reason. I only post pictures of the outfits I make, not of my dd. To the OP on this one-I am sorry you had this problem.:grouphug:

Well, not too much sewing today. I finished an apron top that I had been working on. It has Epcot on one side, and Disney on the other. It's reversible.

The pictures don't do it justice. I love how it came out. I even did the straps reversible. One side is black and the other is white. I still have little Mickey heads to sew onto the ends of the ties and then I think it will be completed. Yea!

This is very origional! How neat that the whole thing is reversible. I LOVE it, great job!

That's what I was thinking....One top for 2 parks...

Yeah right:lmao: You know your kids have an outfit for every park for every day, and probably even two!!!

Heck I am getting close to that, and I don't ever get a chance to sew!!:hippie:

We have an 8 day trip in January, and I am up to 5 outfits, bidding on others, and probably have enough material and tulle to make ....oh i don't know 25 more? ( well I didn't want to exagerate, but it's probably 50 more:confused:scared1: ) Come on ladies fess up...how much material do you have just "waiting"

Too much...and thankfully my DH does not take an inventory otherwise he might kick over from the shock of it all. I stockpile any fabric I even halfway like. Most I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet, but one of these days... :rotfl:

I love how-to links :) Maybe it's here

Have Fun!
There are some great links there. Thanks.

More than I care to admit :rolleyes1

Well to make matters worse, I really loved the pics a while back about packing the whole outfit, bows etc in one ziploc for each day (each day..ha ha again), but then I thought, I can probably pack DH and the two boys in one big suitcase, now my daughters...well I'd need at least two!!! What I did on last trip was sneak a couple of her outfits into everyone elses bags. I'm thinking if I ziploc everything for her...well "the cat" will be out of the bag!!!!:rotfl2: So her stuff will get "stuffed" like last time:cool1: :rolleyes1

We have a 6 day trip in September and I have 8 customs plus a non-custom, boutique outfit. There are a few more I want. ;)

Here is the first skirt I've been able to make. It's for Halloween.

fyi I just stumbled across someone selling the Smiles around the world fabric for 4.00 a yard. Just ordered 3 yards for 18.00 shipped.

Google Smiles around the world fabric and its the first listing.

Okay, saw this material on ebay, and I am NEEDING it. Has anyone ever seen this? I am a huge Disney and Horse fan, I can't believe that I have missed this. Well I'm on a mission. Need this fabric!!! (to sit next to the other fabric I "needed" in my closet!):lmao:

For anyone sewing using the red minnie dot, check you local Walmart. I bought a bolt today for only $2.00 a yard. The never have it. They brought it in, for costumes. I also got a cute Disney print with Minnie building a snow man, and Mickey sledding, I think... I will be posting photos this afternoon.

I bought the bolt at our Wal mart store yesterday. When I go to the neighboring town, I plan to razoo a bolt or 2 from the Wal Marts there as well.:lmao:

That is really cute!

I'm still so confused!!! If they are pics of your kids with clothes on that you purchased why did you have to remove them? Did a mod tell you that you had to remove them? Those outfits are amazing and inspiration to all of us!!!

Nope, it wasn't a mod who said to remove them, it was the creater of the outfits who doesn't want her work posted -- and that's her right.

As a moderator, a voluntary position on these boards, I try to make sure folks are playing nice and that the same rules apply to everyone. Which is why I tell folks that they can't have posts selling things here. Now, before folks tell me that no one was trying to sell anything, please note that on other boards the same rules apply and sometimes things get removed because the line between "look at this beautiful outfit I made" and "look at this beautiful out I made don't you want one is very fine.

I hate feeling like the bad guy all the time. Perhaps I can suggest to the folks who make national holidays a "be kind to moderators day?"

Also, remember that before you bash the "bad guy" who cased all this trouble. There are 2 sides to every story and unless we were all there when everything transpired we don't know the whole story. Also, if you've never seen it, please read my friendly reminder thread (which I didn't write, but borrowed from another moderator here on the DIS): http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1512183 If you have read it, please feel free to read it again.

Now that I've said all of that I have to add this: I wish I could make outfits like you guys can -- but even if I could my daughters are getting to old to wear that type of stuff. When did they grow up?

I did that to a bolt of zebra. it gets to wal mart and then it leaves within a few days! As soon as I saw it I took it all!
I went to a different wally today and they did not have the minnie. or maybe someone got it before I got there!!!

Beth, I in no way meant to make you out to be the bad guy!!! I'm sorry if it seemed that way. I was just confused and couldn't figure out why she would need to remove the outfits if they were her kids in them. I thought perhaps there was a reason that we were not aware of! Sorry again!
