Me too.... Please!
Well, I am still not sewing, but I have been busy today! Here are my latest creations.
Hello Everybody!![]()

I am Alicat99's Mom and I wanted to thank you for all your nice comments regarding the Mickey Dresses I just finished. I am hoping to get that dress as well as some of my other designs up on Ebay this week. There are little boys shortall and matching capri sets for girls. One of them is a really cute Pirate Mickey with the treasure map fabric. Thank you! Again, NanasCustomCreations![]()

I got these dresses off Ebay.

Here is a close up picture of the first dress:

Now, here is a close up of the second dress:

Can you tell a difference? I feel like the second dress is not "filled" in all the way with the Minnie Mouse wording. I contacted the seller and she said that the second one is a tighter embroidery because the bigger dresses are heavier and the machine pulls a little harder to do the embroidery. I don't know anything about embroidery.
Does it still look okay to you?
These aren't customs and I didn't make them. I bought them off Ebay, they are somewhat limited. They're by Wish Upon A Star. Gracie may or may not wear these at Disney but she'll also wear them a lot at home.

Teresajoy made my daughter (Tessa) and her 2 girls (Arminda and Lydia) these adorable tutus!!
Arminda, Lydia, and Tessa in their tutus, pretending to be sweet little angels:They are so cute - I have to make one!! How many layers of tulle did you use?
On Lydia's, (the middle one) I used four layers, the others are two. I just love the way Tessa's turned out! I don't think I will EVER try the tied version again though! I think it's harder and just isn't as cute.
I bought 32 yards of tulle, and used most if it up on the three outfits. Although, I waisted quite a bit on Arminda's, because I made it way too long and had to cut off a lot.
How do you make a tied tutu or a sewn one for that matter?
I made something!!![]()
I tried the halter pattern that LadyRob had. I went to JoAnn's and couldn't find any fabric that I loved. I chose a Disney Fairies print to practice on.
So, how bad is it?!?

Ebaywhere do i search? this thread? google?
Alright couple questions because I've asked my mom to teach me to sew. This should be interesting. I've never wanted to but she doesn't always want to make stuff for me and I thought I'd give it a whirl....
First, Does anyone else spend ten minutes trying to figure out what page they last left off on???I mentally note the page # but I have yet to remember what it was when I get back to the computer.
Also I noticed some of you have fabric stashes. I understand this concept I've got into hairbows since I had my 1st baby girl and you should see my stash already. (I buy lots of the basic ribbons and enough of the fun accent ribbon to make 3 or 4 extra bows because I do intend to sell them in the fall when the kiddos go back to school)However when you find fabric you like how much do you buy of it??? I have no intention of selling my outfits so I can't imagine buying a whole bolt but how much should I pick up. What's a typical amount I would need for an outfit??? I've been to some fabric stores and I understand the addiction I've picked up a few I like already but I've only bought a yard or two (okay I did buy 5 yards of minnie dots)
Thanks for all the advice.
Jennifer
Here's one way to do it. When you come back to the thread on the main list on the Disney for Families board, there will be a little blue box with an arrow pointing down on it right before the name of this thread. Click that little blue box and it "should" bring you back to the last place that you were before you left the last time.First, Does anyone else spend ten minutes trying to figure out what page they last left off on???I mentally note the page # but I have yet to remember what it was when I get back to the computer.
