About the white fabric with the black Mickey heads..... I was planning on buying these sheets from disneyshopping. They are very similar, but have the same feel to them, and I like them even better. Check them out, and tell me what you think. BTW, I wasn't going to put them on my bed. I was going to make something out of them. http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...&productId=1202386&langId=-1&categoryId=14434

That's a really long link. Sorry, but I don't know how to do links. I know. I know. I really need to learn. If the link doesn't work, just go to disneyshopping.com and look under the "For the Home" section.

Also, the pattern looks to be Butterick 5019. I was just cutting this out the other day. I think it would be adorable as Mickey's BBQ outfit or HDDR -- with some denim in there somewhere.

I *want* those sheets (also not for my bed) and I want that pattern. LOL! This new hobby is not good for my budget. LOL! I marked the pattern number and next time JoAnn's puts their butterick patterns on sale for 99¢, it's mine! What to do, what to do, about the sheets though...:scratchin I feel another episode of "wait too long then it's not there" coming on. ;)

Has anyone seen a really good custom tote bag? I was watching the Disney vacation planning guide and they show a shot of a family walking up to the castle and the mom has a really cool Minnie tote bag. I looked at my husband and said "I WANT HER BAG!!".

Also, has anyone seen those adorable Handy Manny custom overalls on Ebay? Thought I'd mention it since I know alot of you are looking for little boys stuff. Just search custom handy manny.

Hi Everyone! I've had a lot going on so please forgive me about not posting lately. Here is an outift I made yesterday. I had this retro Mickey fabric, but a tiny amount of it. I've held onto it for about a year. So this is what I finally did with it. I also saved enough for a hairscarf, headband.

I love this

Here's a little no sew tank I made. I just used underwonder on it. You think that will hold up for a few days? I originally was going to applique it on, but working with stretchy knit is not fun. I bought sew in printer fabric stuff, and just printed the pic on it, ironed it, and attached it.

Here goes! I am finally posting my first few outfits. Keep in mind I am VERY new to this but I am loving it and am becoming very addicted to it!

How did I do?
Oh my gosh, this is so cute! you did a great job!!!

Did you find this on ebay? If so can you PM me the seller? or if not let me know where you found it..thanks

Search for "magical mouse apron top". It's adorable...but quite pricey. I also like the boys' shirt she has to go with it. :)

I was looking at that sheet set too, and also not for the bed, lol. It is really cute material.

I absolutely love this outfit!!! It is definately one of my favorites so far! Didn't you make some korker bows that would match this perfectly?

ok, i know this was posted way back and i think again a few pages ago, but my brain is not working (just finished a week of VBS at church) and my son broke my sewing machine a few hours ago (ill get to that in a minute!) so my question is how do i "make" and attach a ruffle from material. so many of these darling skirts have a ruffle made of all of the fabric colors in the skirt and i think i want to try. im gonna put a plain white one on another skirt, but ill buy that ruffle by the yard and walmart and save myself some time!

on to the sewing machine crisis....i finally moved it from the kitchen table to a table in the basement (boy was dh happy!) anyway, my son tripped over the cord and it came crashing off the table. the big black wheel thingie on the side busted to shreds (sorry, dont know its real name!) not the little knob that moves the needle, but the bigger outter wheel/knob thing. the machine actually still sews, but the machine shakes (think washer off balanced) my dh thinks its cause part of that wheel is missing and when it spins around, its off balance. does anyone know if it can be fixed? the machine was a handmedown from mil. its an old (20 + yrs) pfaff hobbymatic. (story goes that she paid a small fortune for it and never used it!) anyway, theres no # to call- just a germany address!:rotfl:

im thinking i should just hint for a new one (bday around the corner). so, whats a good (im basic new sewer- pj pants, twirl skirts), easy to use machine in the $200 price range?

thanks!

You can take it the sewing machine store and ask for an estimate. But it may be cheaper to just buy a new one. Or sometimes, you can get a used one from the sewing machine store. I'm sure you have one in your area, not a store like JoAnnes. Ours is, of all things, called Sewing Machine Doctor. Anyway, I have a Janome that was around $300. It's just a basic model, but I LOVE it. I'd go Janome any day.

I was looking at the Mouse Apron top and it doesn't look that hard to make. If you make the front the same as the back, I was thinking that if you attached the front, on the underside, with like a big black button, you could fasten it in the front for a whole "nother" look. Hmm....can you hear my wheel's turning...LOL

Okay I am attempting the photobucket thingy. Please keep in mind that these pics were not taken with intent to post here! I made this pillowcase dress (very first attempt) for a Western Theme Park here. The pattern is sherriff stars, cowboys, indians, horse shoes etc. It was a buck a yard.:confused3

Wow you ladies have me inspired. I can't wait to go fabric shopping next week. Rag shop is going out of business and I bought an EZ pattern for 90 cents today. So I am going to attempt my very first Boutique style outfit!

So how so I make the pics not so big/ How do I do more than one pic at a time? I am so proud of myself, Can't believe I am finally posting pics!

Yes, I will be listing this soon. Maybe tomorrow. It won't be a custom though, due to the small amount of fabric that I had. :sad2:
But I love the look of black and white and red. My next kitchen will be done in those colors...LOL.

What size is it? Soooo cute! Love the colors!
