Hi Elisa
I PM'd you them name of who makes the button bracelets. she makes great jewelry and I just inquired about these as well, lol

hope you feel better soon.
I was off from the board for a few days and see all the drama that has happened. sorry about all that eay stuff,I have heard such horror stories about people "cliqueing" up on other sellers to get them to end their listing and end the competition. stand your ground next time,I love your work!!!!
Marcy

Anyone know where I can get some small (1/2") Mickey shaped buttons?

I haven't seen them in person so I don't know if they'll work but I found some Disney buttons in the scrapbook section of Joann's online site. They were mickey head shaped buttons.

I hope you guys don't all leave, I love seeing all your outfits! :flower3:

I would love to be a part of your other group if everyone does decide to leave.

I saw those online too, but I couldn't tell if they were real buttons that could be used or not. (nor what size they are!) The colors would look great with the Mickey fabric I used though...

I am not gonna leave!! I will still be lurking around here and posting every once in awhile!! In fact. . .as soon as DD cheers up a little, I will stick this little SUPER EASY top on her and stick a bow on her head and make her smile. . .JUST FOR YOU GUYS!!!!

They are in the scrapbooking section at JoAnn's. They're actually stickers - just take the sticky stuff off. Hope this helps.

An FYI - We love our bracelet from Kelly!!! She did an awesome job!!

They are real button that can be sewn on. I've used them on a skirt & shirt before. They have a backing on them that you just pull of and sew em on. I'll probably put some on my boys surfing shirts when I get them done. If I ever get them done!

Cool - so they are real buttons that they've just put sticky stuff on.

Is it possible for you to measure one of the small ones and see what size they are for me before I order them? (one like the orange one between the big pink and big green MH) Just the button itself is fine - don't worry about the ears. I'd really appreciate it!!

:goodvibes That's too funny, I'm glad you guys want me to feel in the loop..

I am working on figuring out what patterns I'm gonna use to make our WDW outfits- still deciding between Snow white (my daughters name sake-sort of ) or a minnie themed outfit for MK. Keeping my eyes out for some khaki shirt & pant's/ skirt maybe a shritdress, to be converted into a safari themed outfit for AK. Love those animal print Mickey icons!!!
We're going the last week of Oct. so it gets tricky to dress at that time ( I'm a native) cause you never know it could be sweltering hot one day and a cold front will come in the next so I have to come up w/ clever "layerable" outfits. So I always think skirts are a good way to go you can add leggings and warmer shoes. Have a knitting pattern for an apple hat that if we go w/ Snow White I'm gonna make in case it's cool. :) You guys have so sucked me into your twisted little world.

but just for fun(and cause it turned out really great) here is a picture of a diaper bag i just made for a girlfriend. It is Ohio State themed (not my favorite project to work on- I'm a Gator girl) It is an Amy Butler Nappy Bag pattern. I used some light grey baby wale corduroy and printed vintage pictures on some printable poplin fabric, you can't see the patches well but they are fused on w/ heat-n-bond then I finished them w/ a tight zig zag stitch. I was pretty happy with the finished product. I can't wait to make another girly one for me.- Thinking (this is all ya'lls fault) of doing a dis-inspired one for our MNSSHP trip.

The lightings bad but what're ya gonna do?

Thanks for letting me share!!...t.

I really like this. I wouldn't need it as a diaper bag anymore but would use as a purse for sure. I can't believe I'm complementing a GATOR. My mom would have my BUCKEYE butt if she knew!!!

I finally finished another project!

The little ones are 1/2" w/out ears and the big ones are just under 1" w/out ears.

I'm not very talented when it comes to jewelry, so it's definately worth it to have someone else make it for me.

These are the coolest jeans ever!!!!! I am SO envious of your talent!!!

BTW, finally WASHED and dried some fabric that I bought last year to make sundresses for my girls. I think I am going to try to sew them today....! Thanks for all of the inspiration on this thread. You ladies are really amazing!!

Thanks for the Jojo info!

Now does anyone have advice on the scissors? Should I just buy fabric scissors to cut the tulle? Will any kind of scissors work?

I am leaving soon to take my dd5 to ice skating and will be next to a hobby lobby, so any advice would be appreciated!

I didn't see a reply to you about the scissors so I thought I would. I used my fiskars on tulle and they worked fine. I think it's really important to have a pair of scissors that are used for cutting fabric only. Joann Fabrics has scissors on sale until Sat. 50% off. The tulle wasn't too hard to cut but I had the light pink and it's practically invisible when there's only one layer of it!

HTH,
Christine

I'd love to be part of the group. I'm addicted to looking at these adorable outfits and would like to get some for our trip in September. I can't sew at all, but this is really making me want to learn. Thanks!!!
