Whew, I go away for an afternoon of fourth of July fun and miss the talks of the boards.

First of all, it was ME that posted the picture of your daugther, Jessie. I didn't know it was your daughter. I received the picture in an email from a friend/customer of mine and, since I had never met my friend face to face, I just assumed it was her daughter. I had no clue that the photo was that of your daughter.

I completely understand why you would be mad. I read your post early this morning before I left and made sure I IMMEDIATELY removed your daughter's photo. I am sorry I haven't posted until now, but I made sure that the photo was removed first and foremost.

I thought the dress was beautiful and instantly thought of sharing it with the rest of my fellow sewers, looking for ideas.

Again, I am so sorry, but I had no clue that the little girl was that of your daughter. I hope you accept my apology and welcome to the boards.

I think it depends on who they are for. My dd has some bows that big but I have all of hers made on the alligator (pinch) clips. Some people also use french clips or barrettes. My dd's hair is too silky for those.

I like alligator clips, or snap clips. DD gets little hairs caught in the french clips and they alyways pull when I take them out.

I like alligator clips, or snap clips. DD gets little hairs caught in the french clips and they alyways pull when I take them out.

I like the alligator clips also. The other ones get caught in my DD's hair too. Especially if I try to readjust them after putting them in (which means I have to totally redo the whole hairdo)

Geesh...I go clean the kitchen for a few hours(it was in bad shape )and look what happens.... See, I should have just sat on the computer and everything would have been nice and calm It's all my BF's fault BTW...We can blame things on the men right? Glad all is well now I miss the pictures.

I like the BatB outfit. It does need outlined somehow. If you dont want to sew it, try fabric paint. Just practice with it if you havent used it before, and use a slow steady pressure on the bottle. Dont forget to show us it when you are done.

Ok here is my first try at an applique. I decided to try it out on fabric I had on hand rather than a Disney one at first. Does it look ok? My dd likes it and I made a purse to go with it.

An auction for this same outfit ended yesterday with a winning bid of about $115. Not so bad! Look at the starting bid now. This is why I have to make my own. I could never afford to buy everything that I want. DD2 loves her customs and to see her face light up when she twirls or recognizes a character, oh, my heart melts and I want more. It never ends!

Thank you! Disney does an unbelievable job with weddings. I'm already planning my vow renewal and it's only been 3 years. Shh! DH doesn't know this yet!

I always told dh I wanted a vow renewal at Disney for our 20th...since we married so young. Oh well, plans change... we adopted dd so no money for a big renewal. Maybe at 30 years. We'll be at Disney for our 20th this year and we'll be experiencing our first trip (of many more to come!) with dd. We're taking her to her first princess breakfast on the day of our anniversary.

I guess that is equally good!

I'd love a renewal at WDW but our annaversary is July 18th so FAR to expensive to get over there then . We did the CRT breakfast last year with DD1 and she loved it..next yr I'm hoping DD2 likes it as she's kinda weird lol (I mean that in a nice way honestly haha). She loves dressing up, shoes, jewellery anything girly..but shes really rough n tumble I can picture her when she's older climbing a tree in full make up and all dolled up lol. I'm sure your DD will love it cause she looks really princessy and girly .

Again, although this is the internet (or even especially because it is) it is actually illegal to use the image of a minor child (child under the age of 18) without the express written consent of a parent or guardian.

If you were to get a magazine in the mail and the photographer has blurred or removed the faces of the models (and my daughter IS a model for my business) you wouldn't look at that magazine.

Becky2005...if you come up with any ideas for your daughter I would love for you to share. I am in the same situation...my daughter is 13 and I want some ideas! Thanks for your input!

I will, we have a while before we go so we are in play mode with outfits now. We were trying to do a Cruella one but it needs a lot of help. We are trying to jazz it up. I found 101 Dalmation fabric on-line so ordered a couple yards and we are going to add that somehow along with some red trim.

Plus I found the pink Mickey fabric that I adore here and DD actually really likes it too, so we are trying to come up with something.
