Krista I like the shirt just the way it is and I think you did a great job! :thumbsup2

Bengal...you crack me up! I was actually awake until around 3:30 cutting fabric for Tink's set, but that is normal for me :lmao: Sleep is so overrated, who needs it!

Love the Cars set, I don't think it is too busy at all!

That JoJo bow is so cute, did you make the clay JoJo in the center too?

Dena

Here you go... I was think the same thing! :thumbsup2

That is Perfect! I knew you ladies would know what to do!!!:goodvibes Thanks!

 Aww, I know how you feel! My baby boy turned 15 a few weeks ago! HOW could this happen!!!???? :confused3 Three more years and he graduates. :sad1: I've told him that he does not ever need to move out of the house, I will fix up the basement for him and his wife! He jusr rolls his eyes at me though.

Ok, I guess I'll consider myself lucky...both girls have said they plan to live here with their husbands and my grandkids....they want me to babysit and homeschool them, because although they really really want to homeschool they also want to have "fascinating careers".....of course I reminded them that "I" was not always a frumpy housemommy....at one time I DID have a fascinating career (couple of them actually, even exciting). So I remind them to consider having said career first, then kids, like I did (I was in my 30's when I had them). Either way...I'm fine....so long as they pick good husband's so I don't have to kick him out, lol. And I guess an obsession with WDW could be a plus for any prospects....hmmm....tell me about your son.

Does anyone know of a pattern # for a dress similiar to Ariel's Pink Party Dress?

here are a few pictures of her to give you an idea

I've been looking for a couple months now at every pattern website and in-store book, and have found many that "might" work if I took the sleeves from this one, the bodice from that one, etc...but I'm not that confident of my sewing skills (I'm a great quilter, but clothes, well, not as much experience). She's a size 10/12. I've seen the Simplicity costumes, but even if I could handle resizing it, they are the mermaid costume or the wedding dress which she doesn't want. Picky kid! :rotfl2:
My mom ended up making my oldest DD an Ariel "dinner" dress and she ended up having to put together several different patterns to finally make the dress. But, it did turn out cute!!

If I'm not mistaken, nanascustomcreations (She made the cute yellow, red, black twirl dress from the sheet fabric) made a Ariel pink dinner dress. Chek with her to be sure.
WOW, good memory!!!

Great work Dena!!

Wow, it has taken me a while to catch up since just this morning!

Love the 4th of July outfits! Your kids are adorable!

Wow... I only sewed my finger once and had to use my seam ripper 3 times but I think I did ok on DD's Minnie twirl.. You'll never know by the picture of her... I think she is sick of trying things on! How did I do for a first attempt?

The Skirt

My Oh so pleasant almost 6 year old in the skirt!

Beautiful skirt! I am still fussing with a twirl skirt with tulle. Not sure if I can muster up the courage to start a patchwork twirl! It turned out great!!
Your daughter is adorable and has beautiful hair!!

Ok Ladies~ before I get caught up I need your help!! But first I wanted to show you the shorts I made the other day and said I would post. Just a note, my daughter is wearing the short, but they are for her slightly bigger cousin.
aaPicture159.jpg

I think If I would have made them four panels like all other shorts are they wouldn't have wings...lol

Great job! I tried pants one time and I know it's a challenge!

OK! Now here is my problem. Normally I can get an outfit made in a day. I am just not feeling this one, I think because I am making it for a friends DD. Anyway, I am at a lost what I should use for the bottom ruffle. When I got the fabric at WM the only other fabrics that matched the Ariel was the purple and blue, now that I look back I wish I would have waited and at least found one more color.. So I can't make up my mind what color the bottom ruffle should be: blue, purple, or the Ariel print. I need to get this thing done. please help! :goodvibes jen

I think you should go with the Ariel fabric--I think it would pull the whole dress together.

Again, great work everyone! I just figured out how to multi-quote so sorry if I missed anyone!

Blakely

In a moment of insanity I started cutting squares for my younger DD in JOJO patterns and colors for a JOJO patchwork twirl.. Am I insane or WHAT!!! :confused3 I am up for the challenge I guess!:cool1:

Dena ~ Your EPCOT outfit is way cool!

The Grown Up AK top is Awseome! Nice work!!

The Buzz outfit is great!

Take a bow Pixiehouse! Nice work!

Great job Jajone on your outfits!

also ~ I hope I didn't miss anyone but DD and I are LOVING looking at all your creations!!!

What pattern did you use for this cute little boy outfit? I know I have seen a few boys outfits on here before with this similar pattern but I have never seen what pattern is used. TIA

I used McCall's 2033. It is super easy and you can make pants with the pattern too.

Just stopping by to say great work everyone! I'm having a busy work week :stir: so not much posting from me but I do check the thread several times a day on my cell phone just to see the new creations. There is limited internet access at my job and for some reason, the Big Dogs don't feel the Dis is necessary resource. :confused3 I beg to differ!

My next outfit will be an Ariel of some sort. I will post pics as soon as I'm finished.

Here is my 2nd attempt at applique:

Arielapplique2.jpg

As you can see, poor Ariel has no face. :scared1: (the marks you see are just where I was goofing around with a pencil, figuring out the placement of stuff) I don't know how to hand embroider, I know I couldn't do it on the machine, so I'm stuck as to what to do for a face! I can draw, so I was thinking maybe fabric markers. I've never used them before, are they more like paint, or will it look like permanent marker? Help me out, ladies! :flower3:

I think she looks great so far. I too had no idea how to hand embroider. I found this website and tried a couple of stitches. I ended up using the outline stitch to do the faces of Cogs and Lumiere on my Belle outfit. I'm very pleased with the results.

Hi everyone! Love all this gorgeous stuff! Great job ladies! :thumbsup2
I posted awhile back, wondering if anyone could pm me the ebay ids of some of you who are selling your designs on ebay. I know a couple of them but if someone could clue me in on any others that would be great! :goodvibes

Also, I just saw some really cute vintage mickey mouse black and white fabric up for auction on ebay. It is so adorable, I even thought about bidding on it (even though I can't sew on a button :rotfl: ) But seeing everyone's cute stuff makes me want to learn so bad!
I'm sure someone here could make something spectacular with it! It seems a little pricey, but definitely very cute!

Sew on!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hey, back off my baby nephew!!! ;) I still remember the day he was born. He was the most beautiful baby I've ever seen (and I have 2 kids of my own). *sigh* I can't believe he's 15 years old. :sad1: He's really a great kid and would be a catch for any young lady!

I read your post out loud to my son. He looks a little embarassed, but he also laughed, so that's good. I have told him that one of the main things he needs to consider when chosing a girlfriend is what her parents are like. Because, I don't want to share my grandkids with just ANYONE! So, this could work out well, in another 8 years or so!

Oh my goodness Heather!!!! You are really going to town on this!!!! I gasped when I saw the picture come up on my screen. And, that was BEFORE I knew it was your work!! I am REALLY impressed! You never cease to amaze me!

LOL! I guess you beat me to the response on that post! I must agree, he was the most beautiful baby ever! Sawyer was pretty close though! ;)

Oh yeah, he cooks too. He makes the BEST cinnamon rolls, and many other things.
