When is the best time to get a good price on children's coats? Right now GAP is restricting all their coupons to exclude kids coats! I refuse to pay full price!

On both the 30% off GAP deals right now there is a restriction on kids outerwear I tried online and it did not take 30% off. Then I called and she said there were the restrictions

Ditto, land's end in the spring time. I also buy their coats at least 1 size bigger than what my kid's current size in.

You are not going to find winter coats on sale right now, or it is highly unlikely.

We ALWAYS buy coats off season sooo. I did see some pretty good deals at JC Penny today.

Lands Ends, at the end of the season, is our pick for kids coats. GREAT quality, Great prices.

I buy at the end of the season for next year. My DD4s last coat was a size 3T, so I got her a 4/5 for this year. Unfortunately, it is HUGE on her and she doesn't even have fingertips. So, I guess I bought two years ahead this time. I had to buy her a new coat (at full price) that actually fits in a 4T.

Oh well.... I'm set for next year

We went shopping last weekend and Osh Kosh had some nice coats. They were on sale and I used my 25 percent coupon, too. I think I paid around 40.00 for each one, but they are nice with fur around the hood and flannel inside. I am happy with them.

If you have a Columbia outlet store nearby, there are always good deals on coats and fleeces there. Sign up for emails before you go, and they send a 10% or 15% coupon.

Does your area have any kids consignment sales? That is the cheapest place to get coats if they are needed now. I bought a very gently used winter coat for my son for $8 yesterday. If you want new, my JCPenney ad shows winter coats on sale.

I did that this Spring. I got an awesome Columbia coat in size 2T for only $14. It was such a good deal that I bought a size 3T as well. So we are set on coats for 2 winters I hope.

Thanks PIGLETTO! I was able to get exactly what I was looking for with free shipping and 30% off. It is a great deal and now I am done with winter coats! My youngest gets hand me downs so this one for my oldest will be my youngest's coat in a couple years. I like to buy good quality since it is going to be passed down.

I just got my DD a parka at Modells (local sporting goods store) for $25. We saw the same coat at Kohls for more than $100.
