What kind of things are there to do for a 9 year old in the kids clubs?

do you mean the disney kids clubs? My dd went to 2 on our last trip, one evening at the Yacht and Beach Club (I think it's called the Sandcastle Club) and one evening at Simba's cub house in AKL.

She was only 4, so obviously had different interests than a 9 year old, but they have dinner, can do crafts, there are loads of toys and quite a few pcs with video games hooked up - my dd was quite happy playing with the dollys etc, so I don't know what sort of video games they had, but most of the older kids seemed to be quite happy in front of a pc playing games.
Later on, when I collected Katie, all the kids where settled down on the floor with cushions watching a Disney video.

Katie seemed happy enough there, although she didn't rave about it (but then she tends not to say much unless she had a bad experience) and she was quite happy to go a 2nd time.
We enjoyed a couple of adult evenings, one night we went to see Fantasmic which Katie is scared off, and another night we went for an adult meal at Jiko.
