Kids club - only to age 12?

Wondering if during my next trip I could leave my kids in a Kids Club so my husband and I could get dinner out one night.

Problem being it seems to only go to age 12. My kids are 3, 10, and newly 13 at our trip.

Would the 13 year old not be allowed to go? What could I do with him instead? He wouldn't feel comfortable being left in the room and I don't really want to use a sitter in the room for all of them.

Has anyone had luck getting them to take a just turned 13 year old?

Is the 13 capable of "baby-sitting" the siblings? Does he/she do so at home? If so I would feel comfortable leaving them all in the room together, with rules, activities, etc. and a cell phone for them to call or text me. If not, do you have some time to try "baby-sitting" out at home for some short stints to see how comfortable everyone is with the situation?

I'd have the 13 year old babysit in the hotel room.

I suppose I can consider that. He hasn't watched his siblings before. I would trust the two older ones alone but with the three year old I'm not sure how that would go. Perhaps I can make it work if I dine at a restaurant in the same hotel that we stay in. That way we are close by and I'll leave one of our cell phones with the 13 year old to text updates .

another idea use the kids club for youngest and have just the 2 older ones stay by themselves
