Kids can't decide what to name their Chocolate Lab Puppy!! **Update** Pg 4 :)

We just got a chocolate lab a week ago. We named our new baby girl Daisy. If we were going to register (not breeding, so no need) her full name would be Daisy Duck Hunter. My husband always takes our girls hunting so Disney and his for hunting.

Hope you are having luck with yours sleeping at night. We got our new baby girl last Sunday and she has screamed every night in her cage. We are totally sleep deprived.

Aww poor baby!! When our lab was a puppy she did the same thing. I took my t-shirt off and put it in with her to lay on, and never heard a peep out of her after that. We also put an old clock ( kind that ticks and drives you batty) in there underneath the t-shirt. They're going from being with all their brothers and sisters to being totally alone and it's scary.

For the OP: The next time you see your puppy, give the owners a blanket that she can sleep on-and then bring it home. It'll smell like her old home and she might adjust better to sleeping alone.

So they suggest Eclair and you could call her Clair Bear.

Our yellow lab is Lola.

Oh what about the new Disney Princess coming out in the Frog Prince? Tiana! I think that's a pretty name.

Ixcacao is the Greek Goddess of Chocolate. I am not sure how you really say it but I thought to look it up bc when ever my brother gets a new pet(dog or cat) he always turns to the Greek Gods for names. Kokoleka is chocolate in Hawaiian.......I have always liked Hawaiian names. Good luck with ur puppy, very cute!

Well, Cocoa would be my top choice...but what about Reese?
Kody (for Kodiak) is what my roommate named his Chocolate Lab/Weimeraner mix....it suits because he's huge. I also like Grizz or Grizzly (but think they're better names for boys than girls.) I've never seen Brother Bear, but are there any girl bears in it?

We got our chocolate lab in June. They are very very beautiful dogs but so hyper lol! Our choc. lab is named ALICE because our last name is Cullen... So its a Twilight Nod... Alice Cullen and she fits the part because she has beautiful golden eyes

Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to post their ideas!! We really enjoyed all the names....
LuLu never had a chance...lol...both of our ex's names.....(louie and Lu for Lucille) thought we would pass....lol

Here are some pics...she is a love bug....sleeps in her crate...and lets us know when its elimination time ok...2 out of 3....but goes to the door or windows and cries! Checked out ok at the vet as well.....

We, too, got a Chocolate Lab puppy...10 years ago. She is DH's dog, and he named her Shiloh. He let her have one litter of registered lab puppies, they were adorable and so much fun to raise. Hated to see them all go to new homes though. She also had a "whoops" litter too, they couldn't be registered but they were still adorable and fun.

Labs are so loyal. Yes, they are a challenge in the puppy stage, for at least a year. But in their second year they start to calm down and they are wonderful pets. I hope you enjoy yours for many years to come.

My roommate was showing me pics of a Chocolate Lab that his friend has last night. The friend owns a parasailing business and the dog goes along with him to work. He named his dog Soggy.
