I have read some of the menu's, and the restaurants that are buffet, list a differnt menu for adults and kids.

Is this the case? Do they have a seperate buffet to serve the kids from?

If my daughter (6 years) wants to try something off the adult buffet is this forbidden?

Seems odd to me they would have a seperate setup.

There is always a separate smaller buffet for kids with kid friendly selections but I have always seen children eating off of the adult buffet as well. After all I eat off the kid's buffet!!

I think it's a different price because most kids will eat nowhere near the amount of food that an adult would.

Both adults and children can eat whatever food they want at any WDW buffet. The kids buffet is just a cute idea to serve the food most kids eat at their own level. The kids buffets are always down lower at kid level and usually have the standard chicken nuggets, hot dogs, pizza, mac & cheese, french fries, etc. But to answer your question, you daughter can eat anything that is served on any part of the buffet as can you or anyone else in your party regardless of age.

The kids buffet is seperate from the adults. In some places it's placed at a kid level, so they can see. Have done many buffets over the last several years and never had a problem with my little ones eating from adult buffet.

Your daughter will absolutely be able to have anything she wants from the buffet. I have been known to take some "kid's" foods myself!!

Enjoy The Magic!!

From a trip back in 2006, we went to dinner at Hollywood and Vine. DS(13 months at time) got MOST of his food from the kids' buffet, but we got food from everywhere for him. Now, since he was so young at the time, we weren't paying for him (H&V's loss since he ate for the entire week at that one meal [was the end of the trip and he didn't eat much of anything the whole time we were there]), but I took food from the kids buffet (I'm a HUGE mac-n-cheese fan) and he took bites of my fruit from the adult buffet. Noone complained.....

There is no such thing as a "kids buffet" or even an "adult buffet" at Disney. They have buffets with one section lower to the floor which has on it items that kids tend to enjoy (such as pizza, hot dogs, chicken strips, mac & cheese, etc.). Any person at the buffet (including children less than age three who are free) can get anything from any part of the buffet.
