Hello! Our December trip is coming up quickly..and I would like to get another trip in the works..to sofen the blow of coming home...lol

I am thinking we will plan a Birthday Trip for our DD in April..

What "extra special" Things does WDW do for childrens birthdays? Can you tell me your childrens birthday experiences at WDW?

:earsgirl:

we have never thought to get the birthday button.. but at the dining places they always had decorated our table and brought her a cupcake... and at the castle she got a card and a certificate for a magical momment! very cute!

at the resort she got a card from Mickey and balloons!

Have fun! Your little girl is adorable... my little girl is about the same age! Is she almost 4?

Get the Birthday Button at whatever park you're visiting that day. My DD got so much attention from the CM throughout the park just wishing her a happy B-day that it made it an extra special day.

We did the Princess B-fast at Epcot and the table had some confetti on the table. The princesses seemed to be extra nice. The CM came out and wished her a happy Bday.

LeCellier was especially nice for dinner. We were travelling with my 3 kids and 2 nephews. They put the kids at a table next to the adults and they had their own server who was GREATwith the kids. He came to us first to ask if there were any allergies or limits on what they could order but then he just spoke to them making recommendations, joking and treating them like they were big. The CM came out and sang Happy Birthday and brought a card signed by everyone working there that night. We got some of the chocolate mousses for dessert and they were tasty and fun.

I hope your daughter has a great trip!

Although my two daughters are 4 years apart, they share the same birthday so we did a WDW trip for their birthday last Oct.....Before going I bought a bright colored t-shirt for each of them and ironed on letters saying 'Today is my birthday...' on the front and '...and I spent it at Disney' on the back....They when over great as the characters could see them coming from a long ways off. We did get the buttons at the town hall but I think the shirts 'broadcast' that it was their birthday a little better. Numerous people came up to us asking where we bought the shirts.

here are some of the perks we recieved because it was their birthday....

1) got the button at town hall, and while there my daughters got a 'personal' phone call, at the front desk, wishing them a happy birthday from Goofy.

2) if your staying in the park, tell the receptionist what day your daughter will be celebrating her birthday. On the birthday when we got back to the room there was an autographed photo/card mickey & minnie in front of the castle, on their beds. If I recall there was balloons as well.

3) numerous quests, and every cast member, wished them 'happy birthday'

4) several times the cast members put us in the fast pass lane even thou we didn't have passes.

5) my daughters are pin traders, and several time a the cast member simpy gave them a pin of there choice.

6) breakfast at chef mickeys (tell the hostess of the birthday); extra attention from mickey and the rest, confetti on the table, nice autographed birthday placemats to keep, and a cupcake with a candle (I know, breakfast, but hey, its was their brithday).

7) lunch at sci-fi restaurant (tell the hostess of the birthday); public annoucnement of their birthday and everyone sang happy birthday, and a cupcake with a candle.

8) dinner at crystal palance (again tell the hostess of the birthday); confetti on the table, extra attention from pooh and the gang, a cupcake with a candle.

We topped it off with a birthday cruise (must be booked well before the trip and sells out fast) on the lake fopr the fireworks.

Note: I can't quarantee that any or all of this will happen but I am sure that if you 'advertise' you will get special attention. If you like, send me your email address (apc1@cox.net) and I can send you photos of the shirts and the hotel autographed card.

We celebrated my DS's 3rd birthday at WDW in 2002. He did not get anything special at the hotel (PO-FQ), even though we did mention it at reservation and check-in. We spent his birthday at the Magic Kingdom. First, we stopped at City Hall to get his birthday button and his phone call from Goofy. Lots of CMs wished him a happy birthday as well as the characters. The characters also wrote neat messages in his autograph book for his birthday. He got sung to a couple times. One time a strolling band played "Happy Birthday" while we were waiting for a ride. The talking garbage can even sang "Happy Birthday" to him. Unfortunately, I wasn't quick enough with the video camera for that one! While at one of the walk-up dining places the CM gave him and the rest of our party a free ice cream bar. We celebrated his birthday with dinner at Chef Mickey's. lots of well-wishes, songs, etc. there -- along with the cupcake. I'm still kicking myself for forgetting his birthday placemat! Then, since we were there with lots of family members, we went back to our room and opened presents there.

She'll have a birthday to remember, no doubt about it! We're going in May for my DD's 3rd birthday (which is actually July 22, but I'm not doing FL in July!). This time we're going to try CRT, if we can get reservations.

When you check into the restaurants do you tell them then of the birthday? Our DD will turn 1 and we will be eating breakfast at CRT that morning. princess:
