Do you work, or take vacation, when your kids go to camp.

I am sadly working. My DD leaves tomorrow for 2 weeks at an excellent camp. Wish I was going.

She will be swimming, canoeing, they have a huge observation tower they can climb, a regular climbing tower, hiking, biking, riding horses, arts & crafts, drama, etc.. She just chooses not to overnite hike and sleep in a tent. She likes the comfort of her cabin, with indoor plumbing and showers.

Summer camp songs, here she comes!

I would skim the Dis with no interuption except food.

My sitter charges whether my dd is there or not, so I took the week off while she was at camp so we wouldn't end up paying for 2 weeks of her not being there instead of just one.

My son came home Thursday. He was at camp for 2 1/2 weeks. I was on vacation for 7 of those days.

He'll be home for the next 2 weeks working on his summer homework packet. Then he's going back for another 2 1/2 weeks. I'll be working the whole time.
