DH and I went into NYC yesterday to see a show (Hairspray.. good, but not as good as Wicked). The kids stayed with MIL while we were gone. Wouldn't you know it, while we were on our way home, DD2.5 vomitted all over MIL. Seems there's a stomach bug going around and DD picked it up.
Thankfully, DD hasn't sicked up since then, but she did run a fever off and on all night last night.
DS5 seemed fine today; he went to school, came home, ate his lunch and then laid down for a nap before swim lessons. Well, he didn't want to get out of bed to go to swim lessons. In light of DD being sick, I let DS stay in bed, figuring he might be coming down with the same bug and I'd rather let him get his rest, just in case.
We're supposed to be hosting the ILs for Christmas Eve Dinner. If one or both of the kids are still sick later tomorrow, though, I may just postpone dinner until New Year's Eve.

" We were so close that we could easily spot the mikes on everyone's heads, which was annoying after a while.
to everyone else who's dealing with illness in the family right now.
