Kids and the magic of Disney

We told our 3 kids tonight that we had booked our holiday to WDW. We have had it booked since July last year but were going to try and keep it a secret. But we decided to tell them so that they could help with the planning etc to get them really excited.

When they found out they were dancing and screaming about the place. DD5 just wants to see the princesses again and just can't believe we are going again. Oldest ds 12 is excited but takes everything in his stride. Liam,8, however made me want to cry. He is just tooooo sweet for his own good. He asked where we were staying at, he was told the Beach Club to which he replied that it was his dream resort. DH said well your dreams are coming true then. he then replied " thats what happens when you go to Disney, all your dreams come true". He said it so sweetly and innocently as this is what he really believes.

Disney really is a magical place and his reaction just sums it up for us .

I am so excited tonight that I can finally talk about it

Aww I bet the look on their faces when you told them was one of those keep forever memories. I get so excited at the the thought of Disney as an adult. Can only imagine the feel of being told when you are young that you are going to Disney.

Thanks everyone.

At the moment Liam is on his computer and is trying to find disney colouring in pictures that he can print out and make a book for him and his little sister to do on the plane. There's nothing like being organised

We have done the same as you, we booked the holiday last September to go in August and my niece and nephew do not know anything about it.

Originally we were going to tell them just before we went but now decided to tell them over easter - going to do a deal/no deal game involving them choosing their holiday this year

Have you been over to the design part of this board - have had some lovely t shirts and invites printed. Have done them an itinerary folder as it is their first time ever (and probably last)

Ah how lovely and what a kind little boy Liam is. Last year we didn't tell Joe that we were going, he thought we had to take a flight from Chicago to a bigger airport to get home. We told him as we went through the gates that we were staying there and he was jumping up and down in the car!
