Kids and music

How old will my kids be before they decide listening to music their mom loves isn't cool? My ds loves music I love. My dd likes it, but she likes to listen to ~gasp~ country music sometimes too (I don't listen to country music). I was wondering today when they'll decide my music is too old for them.

Kelsea is 12 and still likes some of my music, but her tastes are starting to be more her own. Bri is 18 and doesn't at all.

As of about the last 6 months my 15 yo has started listening to all the music i loved growing up. I love her new group of friends!!

I'm 19 and I've always liked the music my dad listens to and grew up with; classic rock, like from the 50s, 60s and 70s, and sometimes even 80s stuff. I hate a lot of the popular music that teens and kids my age (don't know if I still officially qualify as a "teen") listen to now.

my mom has pretty good music taste(recent stuff like norah jones) but she also listens to stuff i hate....and she hates me listening to chingy and snoop dogg

I can listen to all of my mom's music, as I love the 80s stuff...however, she can't say the same thing about my music
