Kids and JP River Adventure

I think they do allow you to wear hats - though I definitely remember being warned about the possibility of losing them. But I'm not totally sure, sorry!

Hey JOCAmom,
I just watched a youTube video from AllEars.net called "The Secret of Having the Best Day at Islands of Adventure" and the vlogger said specifically that they made her take her hat off (which she was wearing to avoid getting wet.) It was a few minutes after the hour mark.

Just thought I should circle back for you. :-)

Thank you Cuchman! I will definitely check it out. My grandson has a very thin windbreaker jacket with a hood. I am thinking of just having him wear that and a pair of sunglasses for the big drop.

Hats are permitted on JPRA.
Another option is a face shield like the kind used during COVID. I saw some at a dollar tree recently, so it would be a cheap and easy buy
Every time I have been on the ride they have told me to take my hat off. A lost hat can get stuck in the ride track system

Interesting. We were there in April, and I remember I was wearing a hat because it dislodged a bit on the fall, but didn't come off because my ponytail was through the back opening. I totally get why they'd want hats off, but no one said anything to me when I wore mine so I assumed they were allowed.

They probably just missed you.
