Is there any reason why kids shouldn't use exercise equipment? I could see a safety issue with the equipment but if they are supervised then that wouldn't be a problem.
We bought an elliptical machine last weekend. My DD will be 12 in May and has been using it. I don't have a problem with that because our Y allows 12 and older full use of the equipment.
My 9 year old son wants to use it. He did it for 20 minutes yesterday and really enjoyed it. He is so small compared to the equipment. I am not sure why but I just worry he could injure his muscles doing something that is generally reserved for teens/adults. My DH thinks I am nuts. Opinions?
