been on dis for a while lurking and have picked up a ton of info. but my ? is which cabin is more off the path or quiet ! we have rented a cart from kenny and like everyone on here says he sounds like a great guy! 50 days :banana:

I would choose the cabins that are closest to the entrance. I have stayed in several loops and they all were quiet!!!!!!! I stayed in loop 2100 last time. We were the first cabin near the road. At first I thought it was going to really noisy with the road near by. Honestly, we barely heard the buses running. It was just as quiet and peaceful as other loops.

Happy planning.

After many stays at WDW always in the cabins at Fort Wilderness and the fact that I have walked all the cabin loops many times I can recommend the 2800 loop as the quiet leader. All the cabins sit back off of Peacock Pass ( the main road through the cabin loops) It is a long loop but if you have a golf cart all the cabins will be great. There is also a lot of flat land around the cabins for the kids to run without bothering anyone.

In the 2800 loop I would say that cabins higher than 2855 or 2860 and lower than 2806 are close enough to the bus stop that you will notice the buses. The engines aren't so much the problem... some of the buses lower themselves to the ground when they stop and they have a loud beeper that goes off for the 5 seconds or so that it takes to lower and then raise themselves.

That said, when we were in the cabin (2864) with the TV off we would notice those sounds but it was not loud enough to wake us (or the kids) up or keep us awake.

The refrigerator and bathroom fans (and the sup-r-flush toilet) on the other hand were plenty noisy!

What dates are you going???? How old are your kids? We love the cabins and staying at the fort. You are going to have a great time not matter what cabin you get!!!!!
