The TiW kicks botty over the DDP for sure! I'm so excited.

Of course you have to scope and report back!!!! It's a beautiful resort. This now gives me a Monorail line DVC option. :woohoo:

I agree about TiW. I love the flexibility of NOT having a dining plan. I don't want to worry about using credits, etc.

I'm in major planning mode this weekend. I am doing some August planning and looking at my options for October. I'm also looking into DLR. I need an intervention. :lmao:

I'm the wrong girl for an intervention. I feel like I'm loading your needle with regards to Disneyland.

:lmao: It's such a fun addiction.
I actaully wrote out my tentative Disney plans for 2012 and 2013 during a boring meeting at work. I think I accomplished a lot. :rotfl:

Have you decided on how you're going to work the SSR/AKV split? How many days at each?

Gimme your details lady! Where and when? popcorn::

I'm thinking 5 and 5 but its pending on how many nights I can get a 2 bedroom at AKV SV and if any of those are Club Level. I still haven't changed any of my THV nights because I don't think a 2 bedroom at SSR is going to be difficult to get at the 7 month. It all hinges on my AKV success. :hyper:

As of right now, we're looking at Columbus Day weekend (which is earlier than you're going to be there :sad1:). I am looking into going later in the month. I need to see my nephew's school schedule. I can miss a couple of days. I have over 100 days in my leave bank.

As for where, it's looking like Yacht Club or BoardWalk Inn. I'm leaning towards the YC. It is so amazing. Plus, it'll still be warm enough for SAB.

I doubt you'll have trouble getting AKV SV at the 7 month mark. CL is another story. I have read that it is very difficult to get CL because there are only a few CL rooms.

If (and I doubt this will happen) AKV isnt available, do you have an alternate plan? BWV? BCV?

:goofy: 94 days until 7 month booking!!! :goofy:

:stitch: 228 days until ADRs!!! :stitch:

:donald: 308 days until WDW!!! :donald:

The kids here aren't off Columbus Day. Are your schools closed? We'll miss you for sure but I totally understand.

Does the YC get to use SAB? Very cool!!! :woohoo:

I don't. :rotfl: But I guess I need one. BWV would be my next choice for sure. The YC looks great too but I don't want to pay cash. We also loved OKW and their rooms are enormous so that's another option. That resort has the best laid back vibe. :hippie:

We are off for Columbus Day. We celebrate Columbus "discovering" America. :rotfl:

Yes, YC guests get to use SAB too. :yay:

Have you considered BCV? You'll get to use SAB.

Columbus was a turd.

I have thought about BCV but no one's biting on the Epcot resorts. They all loved AKV. DH is all about the view now there.

I didn't think anyone could use SAB but the BCV, that's cool. What a huge perk for YC guests. When we do finally try the BCV, SAB will save me some $$$. My family loves the water parks and each trip I have to shell out another $200+ for a day at either TL or BB. From what I've seen, SAB is like a mini water park. :thumbsup2

I agree about Columbus! :rotfl2:

YC/BC are sister resorts and share the some facilities. They're connected. You can actually walk from one to the other. The one thing I don't like about BCV is it's behind the BC. You can't get a Crescent Lake view at BCV. BUT SAB is amazing. The big selling points of BCV is the proximity to Epcot, SAB, and the boat to DHS. You definitely wouldn't have to spent $$$ on water park tickets.

The lack of view would be the only draw back for me. I have become a view ho! :rotfl: But SAB looks amazing. The proximity cannot be beat. One day but for this trip they seem to be set on the THV or AKV. I'm pushing for AKV. :wizard:

What else have you got planned for August?

:rotfl:

The lack of a view at BCV kills it for me as well. I also don't like that BCV is behind the BC. It almost seems like it was just tossed there. And, I'm all about bathrooms. I love that BLT & AKV have 2 bathrooms in a 1 br and 3 bathrooms in a 2 br. Plus, I'm partial to the YC side of the resort. It's so much quieter.

I think you'll get AKV. Between Jambo and Kidani, there will be something available at the 7 month mark. Are you planning on starting out at SSR then moving to AKV? Or starting out at AKV and moving to SSR?

What ADRs are you planning? Do you have a tentative list?

As for August, we have 8 nights booked at AKV SV of course and 6 nights booked at BLT Lakeview. I'm moving one of the AKV nights to BLT at the 7 month mark. Luckily, we want a lakeview, which has the largest inventory. I'm not fond of MK view from BLT and I will NOT do standard view, even though it's less points. I cannot risk being on the first floor. There's just too much traffic down there.

We're getting our ADRs in order, but it's so hard to decide. I have to do a week of ADRs for 5 people (3 adults and 2 kids) and then a week of ADRs for 10 people (7 adults, 3 kids). I can't seem to decide LOL. Our return flight is booked, but we need to book our outbound. And I need to book rental cars.

Also, my mom, brother, and I have decided to look into doing a private catered event for my dad and uncle's 60th birthday. We're thinking of a private Illuminations dessert party. I'm waiting for the caterer from Disney to get back to me. And we MAY do one at either the MK for Wishes or DHS for Fantasmic! We shall see.

The extra bathroom is HUGE especially because we'll be traveling with 3 teenage girls. :scared1:

I'm not worried so much about getting a 2 bedroom SV as the points cost is high but am torn between trying to get CL. Issues include:

1. Only 10 one bedroom and 10 studios that make up the CL room options. Having only 10 available 2 bedroom CL villas make my odds terrible.

2. If I were to score a CL villa, you are not guaranteed an SV. You can also get a pool view which I am totally uninterested in.

::yes:: The plan is to start out at SSR and move however if the AKV options are limted I might have to do it the other way around.

What ADRs are you planning? Do you have a tentative list?

My for sure list includes Saana (AKV) and The Turf Club (SSR). I have read nothing but great things about both. I'd like to try Le Chefs and Rose and Crown too. We'll cook some too. Honestly, we enjoy Michael's food as much as most restaurants. He's that good. Looks like we'll be packing curry powder. :rotfl: He grills the best steaks too. He loves the resort time too. We have all really grown to enjoy that down time.

We loved Cal Grill but my goal is to try all new places. Also the bar in Mexico, La Cava, is a must. :cool1: How about you? I was thinking about a character meal but they seem to be over it. :sad1:

The first floor at some resorts would be terrible. If you have BLT already booked, why do you have to wait until the 7 month mark to change the last night? Your trip is going to be amazing! :cloud9:

What ones are you debating on?

Has Disney given you any ideas about what they can do for his event? I'm sure they can do anything and will make it very special. :)

The GCV was having a private event and I wanted to crash it so badly. I took a picture and then scattered because the CM was coming over. :rotfl2: Gabby was so mortified.

Just to clarify on private event pic I took, it wasn't during the event but while a CM was setting up. I didn't see him until after I took the pic. It didn't occur to me not to until DD said he was starting to walk over

You found the thread!! I was going to link it and then I saw you had posted on it.:thumbsup2

I hope it's similar to the YOAMD promo. Our first trip to WDW in 2007 was filled with amazing Dreams and Magical Moments. :cloud9: can't wait to hear what it is.

I hope you get your CL room. I have only done CL at the Poly and CR. The CR was SO much better than the Poly.

One of the drawbacks to CL at AKV is not being guaranteed a certain view. It would stink to give up a SV for a pool view.

I'm trying to book new places as well. But some old favorites keep popping up. Character meals are a must, particularly Crystal Palace. My 7 yr old nephew has requested Sci Fi. As for other places, I'm still up in the air. I need to check out some menus.

One of the party planners at the CR left a message for me yesterday. Unfortunately, I was so busy I couldn't get back to him. I plan on speaking to him today. According the Disney's website, we could do a private catered event at the resorts or something in one of the theme parks. For Illuminations, they rope off a viewing area, set up tables, and dinner, dessert, drinks, etc. From what I understand, there is a fee to rent the space and then the cost of food. I've also seen info on ToT parties. I may have to look into that one too.

I'm hoping the announcement on New Year's Eve is worth the wait!
