Great photo!
Great photo!
Well I am all caught up. Homeschooling is going really good. Lexi loves to learn so that helps a lot. I haven't been on the Dis much because somethings have come up and the money we had set aside for our return tickets had to go for something else. Now I am stressed out that we won't be able to afford them so I haven't been on the Dis much lately. It is too depressing. I feel like this year is never going to end. It has been an awful year for us and we really could use this vacation. Sorry to go on about it. I love all your pictures and hope you are having a good Yom Kippur. I hope Gab did a great job at her soccer game.
Have you posted about your trip? I would love to see more pics.
Fun pics!
So sorry about the migraineHow did the soccer game go?
I'm joining in if that's okay. Your children are darling and I'm loving the opportunity to check out your countdowns.![]()
I should upload more photos to FB today. The beginning of the school year is always so crazy!
I would have to say, it's one of my favorite countries in Epcot! Michael bought me the greatest ring from there and wanted to buy me some bangels too but I wouldn't let him. I am kicking myself now as I love that stayle of jewelery.
Sounds like you need to do some shopping while you're there next year.
Yes my 40th birthday trip is coming up in 3 weeks. If you have to turn 40, you might as well do it with Mickey, right?
That's awesome about the bat mitzvah. I think that's such a lovely rite of passage. (forgive my ignorance about the religious part. I've just always enjoyed the idea of welcoming your child to adulthood.)
We bought DVC in May and this will be our first trip to our home resort of BWV. We have some other friends who are going to be there ay the same time so they're joining us for my birthday dinner at Cali Grill. Beyond that no special plans except it's the first trip to WDW we've been on without our kids!
They won 7-0.
I always feel bad, from a mom perspective, for the other team when that happens. Gabby has been there and it's NO fun. She did have a great assist yesterday.

A little off topic news. We met with the rabbi today and we knew Gab's bat mitzvah is set for 4/16/11. We are not thrilled with her Torah portion but I am hoping it will grow on her. The great news is that she has decided to skip the big bash and take up my offer on taking her and her friend to So Cal and Palm Springs for a week.I am SO not a party planner and will be one of those moms who will bribe her kids to elope or have a simple ceremony on the beach.

We've been on both sides too and it's not fun. I feel bad as well. At K's JV game this weekend she was going for a goal, goalie went after her and somehow totally messed up her knee (the goalie, not K). It was brutal, not sure if she blew it out or just wrenched it. I hope she's ok.
that would be me toothough thankfully I don't have to worry about it it would probably stress me out and I'd feel "required" to do a party.
Admittedly we did get a few looks when we said we were just doing the Kiddush luncheon and then a dinner that night for out-of-towners and close friends and family. I don't care though, She will enjoy a trip to So Cal much more. After some research on PS though, it is a HUGE retirement community so I think we are going to do So Cal but focus on shopping for her.
Wanna see the working itinerary?
My BBF offered to have us stay with her which is awesome! She has a beautiful home and Gab adores her.
- Sunday May 1: fly into Long Beach, pick up convertible Mustang that I have rented, go local like maybe Seal Beach.

- Monday May 2: Catalina Island all day and overnight.
- Tuesday May 3: home from Catalina, Belmont Shore
- Wednesday May 4: Balboa Island, Crab Cooker, bad Jews, in Newport Beach
- Thursday May 5: Huntington Beach
- Friday May 6: fly home
That's so funny, I almost said...PS? really?
We know retirees that live there and my inlaws love to go there. We can't stand it to be brutally honest. Though I had a decent spring break week there once in college. Of course, all that said, I'm going in Nov for my FIL's birthday. I've had to go there quite a bit for work over the years and it's hot, SO spread out and there just isn't much to do but drink, golf or lay by the pool.
Bleh
My inlaws want us to golf. Jeff and I would rather have our eyes poked out. I think I'm going to escape to the spa. Thankfully I don't have enough vacation to go for the whole week, just a long weekend.
I like the new plan MUCH better, that sounds pretty perfect to me and I know it would to Kendall! Jeff used to live there and Taylor was actually born there.
Oh my gosh there is the best breakfast place in Long Beach, not too far from Belmont Shore, Schooner or Later.
YUM!
And a really good bloody mary, or if you are with your BF, get a bottle of bubbly and then they just bring more oj as you need it.
We went there on Spring Break and loved it. Did Seal Beach too but not the rest. It was cold while we were there though![]()
Get out!!! I love Schooner or Later. I worked in Belmont Shore forever at Legend's Sports Bar- I am very familiar with the area. Went to Cal Sate LB for my undergrad degree.I grew up not 20 minutes from there.
My parents used to take me to PS all the time growing up and I have very fond memories but my friend said it's not the PS it used to be.
oh how funny! Jeff got his first masters there! And then lived there for about 10 years after that I think. You guys may have crossed paths
Re: PS. I hear its a bit of a ghost town....foreclose wise. we had dinner guests a couple of weeks ago that live there and got an earful.
