So the color tabby isn't working so I have to post in black.

I'm not looking forward to travel team stuff and increased demands from the children's activities.

If I'm being 100% honest.....its about 40/60 in terms of enjoyment. It takes a lot of hard work, time, and money and it's worth it to see them have fun, learn teamwork, etc etc....but really, it's not for us. At all. :rotfl2:

So much to catch up on here!
The end of the school year has been crazy busy and we still have another week left.

How are your plans coming along?

You guys get out late. When do you go back? How are your August plans coming?

Our plans are coming along. We're kind of at that stand still point unless I start changing a load of things. I've been obsessing on CarsLand at DL and touring without late FP at WDW. It's kinds of stressing me out, the not having the late FP return option. We were big abuses of the system. :lmao:

Scotty is 44 years old. This isn't his first tattoo. He hasn't gotten one since the 1980's though. I recently got one.:rolleyes1 I think that my getting one prompted him. This is the third one for me. All gotten in the space of 25 years.

Yes, we are staying at the Ayres again. I actually rented three rooms. We are being joined by friends and we will be three people per room. I am so excited.

I kind of wish I was there but the other smarter part of me says, "no you don't !":rotfl:

I think my brain is fried. I'm not communicating well. I meant in terms of what people will think as far as any midlife garbage. :upsidedow Not important. I'm glad he's enjoying his tattoo. :thumbsup2 What is yours of? I've got a small, very faded daisy on my right ankle. I went hard in my late teens. :rotfl:

The pics looks amazing. My friend is there now and he said only CarsLand is packed, the rest of the park is doable. I didn't ask about Disneyland.

Three people per room is awesome! You'll have more room to breathe and move. There rooms look quite pretty and they treated you guys so well last trip, I'm happy for you! :woohoo:

:cool2: 119 days until WDW!!! :cool2:

NYC public schools get out even later. I think they're done the following Wednesday. I have to go back the Tuesday after Labor Day. The kids start the following Monday.

We were at a stand still, until my brother changed his dates. Instead of coming Friday 8/17 and leaving Sat. 8/25, they're coming 8/16 and leaving 8/24. I think instead of flying into DC and staying at the Ritz on 8/11, we may just change our flight and fly to MCO on 8/11. I'm trying to figure out what resort to book that night. I could book AoA, YC, BC, BWI, or GF. Or maybe a night at Universal. :lmao: I need to make a decision!

That is late. Mine go back the Tuesday after Labor Day which is 2 weeks later than usual. I haven't a clue how they pulled that off unless we get out later next year. :confused3 Is it summer hot there yet?

You're changing dates? Can you change flights that easily? I'd book AoA. I did book AoA. ;) It's just so new and we love Nemo, I couldn't help it. Universal would be good if you did universal the next day. :thumbsup2 Are you still doing Universal? why did he change his dates?

Our last day of school is 6/22! Then we fly to Orlando on 6/23 and Cruise on 6/24. Yay!!!
We also start the day after Labor Day...

There is so much more that you have to plan for at WDW than at DLR. I mean face it you can actually do everything at DLR without ever making an ADR.

This is my third one. The first one I got 25 years ago is a butterfly on a flower, the second one that I got is a flower caught in maelstrom, this last one is of a sword with roses and the vines. I love knights and all that medieval stuff.

I have seen pictures of it too. I think that the crowd will overflow into the rest of the parks.

I love the three people to a room. It saves bathroom stress.

That's the best way to end the school year! :thumbsup2 Have you started packing? Are the kids so excited?

Mine leave for camp on 6/26 for 2 weeks. They go to Camp Shwayder in CO. My middle DD does't go. She says it too long to be away from home. It's nice because we get to spend some extra alone time with her. She will generally go to my inlaws overnight once or twice too so DH and I will also get some alone time. I heart summer camp.

You're so right about Disneyland vs WDW! WDW is so much more labor intensive to plan. It's super fun but I'm so less familiar having been to Disneyland hundreds of times vs the two vistits to WDW. I've got my work cut out for me. I really think I'm going to buy RideMax. What's another $20? :rotfl2:

You will be so comfortable with three bathrooms. :thumbsup2 Smart girl. Does Ayers offer any sort of continental breakfast? Do they use ART?

I bet your tattoos are beautiful. I've got the one and have asked myself how I'll feel if when and if the kids want them......I think it's okay as long as they're 18 and have really thought it through.......as much as an 18 y/o is able to think anything through.

What about Touring Plans? I bought that one and I like it better than RideMax. It has crowd projections and such. I like that.

They actually have a full cooked to order breakfast. They have everything! I was really impressed with their breakfast. The ART is great from there. It is the second stop on the route going to the park, but the first stop is the Amtrak station so most days it is empty when you get on it. I also liked that Garden Walk Mall is one of the stops on the was to the parks.

I love my tattoos. I don't regret them at all but I have known people that have. When Kacy our oldest told me that she wanted one I told her she had to think it through. That this was a life decision. I did tell her that I didn't want her getting words or song lyrics. I explained that while it may say Miss now when she got older it would say Mississippi.:rotfl: So no words.

I have Touring Plans already  Do they give you game plans? I bought it for the hours and crowd calendar but if they give a game plan, I'm all over it! :thumbsup2

Love them having a full cooked breakfast, that is a huge $$$ and time saver! No wonder you love it there. We might be surprising the kids, very very very slim chance, and heading out there right after Thanksgiving. The GCV are booked for sure so maybe we'll give Ayer's a try. Think there is room for a blow up mattress? It would be a quick 2 day trip- one at each park.

Mississippi. :lmao: Things do start to change and sag. Goof advice mama! Did she get one?

:ccat: 117 days until WDW!!! :ccat:

It does have plans for Disneyland so I am sure that it must for WDW.

I am sure there is room for an air mattress. But, in this there are photos of the rooms to give you an idea. These are guest photos.

Well, she did but no words or such.

OMG! Joshua loves The Cake Boss. :rotfl2: Might have to figure out what this is all about.

I M making a plan, now. :thanks: for pointing that out. I've already paid so it makes more sense. Think you saved me like $23 which is a few churros. :thumbsup2

What did she get?

My friend is panning a trip and I told her about Ayers today. :goodvibes

All those churro dollars add up!

She has gotten 4 tattoos since her 18th birthday. This is a sore point with me. She uses her left over college money. I won't go any further.

I think that Ayres is well worth the money especially considering the breakfast cutting out the cost for one meal is a good thing. I hope your friends has a good trip.

Four. Say no more. Especially if she used college funds. :goodvibes

I agree that with four people, Ayers will save a bundle on breakfast. :thumbsup2 she wants to chat this weekend and we'll figure out her plans. She's going in less than a month. :faint: That might be us planning for right after Thanksgiving if DS ends up playing in the horrible Turkey Shoot soccer tournament. It's my least favorite of any of the tournaments. The only redeeming factor is that it's four hours from Disneyland. ;)

Churro $$$ do add up especially with 6 of us. I can't even imagine our food bill especially with F&W. DH and DS want to do the Cake Boss demo so I can only imagine a) how impossible it will be to get into and b) if I can get them in, how much it will cost?

Thanks for posting that link Jenny. I forgot to click on it on the F&W thread. I'm so glad to see the Grand Mariner tastings will be back. That was on my list. If you want to see Buddy Velasco (sp), you need to be on the phone at 4AM (CA time) and have multiple people calling in. He sold out in about 15 minutes last year. One gal whose Dining reviews I was following got disconnected before submitting payment and it was sold out by the time she got back through. I think they worked it out for her in the end but he is VERY popular.

I hope.that Robert Irvine will be there during our trip.

How did you guess? :rolleyes1 You must be psychic.:rotfl:

And the day I call is August 14th, right? Yikes- 4 am! But it will be so worth it! How much is a ticket to that, do you know? Is Josh too young to enjoy his cooking demo? He is addicted to Cake Boss so I'm guessing no.

Do they add other guest chefs? I don't know who Robert Irvine is. I'm sure Michael may.

I know, she's crazy. When I told her if she ever plans 7 months ahead of time, I'd be happy to check the GCV, she about peed her pants laughing. I forget we all don't plan the same. ;)

Boy that's for sure. When I was a kid my mom was one of those people that would say to my dad "hey honey lets go to Disneyland this weekend"!! Maybe that is why I am so overboard with the planning.

Robert Irvine used to have a show called Meal Impossible or something along those lines.

I'm going to Google him. Hope he likes it.
