KidCot Stations

I was reading TGM and he was talking about KidCot stations in World Showcase at Epcot. I have never seen or heard about these (but this October is the first time we are going with a young child). It sounds cool...but is it worth taking my 20 month old there??? Also...is it worth buying her a passport to get stamped??? That sounds like a cool idea to me LOL.

An "under two" child will not understand what its all about.

If YOU are interested in doing it with your child, that will be fine.

But a small child will simply like the ATTENTION that they will get (if its not too busy at the station... sometimes it IS) and maybe the drawing on or coloring on the paper masks that they have.

Asking, "How many "stamps" from what countries did you get?" is a bit over the head of most under-3-year-olds

(But, again, YOU might like to do it with the child.)

For younger children they have a mask that they can make. Nothing to buy. The mask is made of cardboard and attached to a stick. At each country they attach a little cardboard symbol from that country then the child can color their mask as a kidcot station in each country.

They also stamp the stick attached to the mask at that country as well. My dd loves doing these (at one time we had a collection of 10 or 12, now we just kepe the ones she likes and completed). It's a cute idea and great for "little ones". In China they'll write your child's name in Chinese on the back.

My dd started doing these when she was about 2 1/2. She didn't really understand it until she was 4 or 5, but it's a cute little souvenier and of course you can do it with them.

the masks are a great idea and a great free souvinear. The passports might be a little old for your child but it is also a great souvinear they are 10 to buy and have stickers and the CM stamp them and sign them in their native language. My DTwS's 12 did this in december and they got the CM's to write merry xmas or happy holidyas in their native language and they just loved it.

My DS6 did this in Feb. and he loved it. It is fun for them to do, I also got him the Passport book, and he enjoyed having the CM's write hello and his name in thier native language, they stamp the passport book also. He really enjoyed making the mask and looking for the kidcot stations! However, I agree with the others that your little one may be a bit too young......... unless you just want to do it with her.
