you can take a bus to either EPCOT or DHS and the walk thru Epcot and security which is about the same time it would be to take the boat or walk from the front of DHS. the gateway exit is between France and UK.
i'd guess the bus would be around 15 minutes once departing the resort.
That is correct. You will need park entry to go through Epcot. So, if you have been to another park that day and don't have hoppers or APs, this won't work.
If you take the bus to DHS, you can then boat or walk to BWI from there without needing park tickets. The walk from DHS to BWI is about the same as a walk from the front of Epcot to the IG and then to BWI from there. See this post by Robo which has a map to compare the two routes.
It might be faster to bus to Animal Kingdom and switch to the BW bus. That way you don't have to wait for the friendship boats and you don't need park entry.
I would head to AK and take the BW bus from there. You can take the bus to DHS and then either walk or boat from DHS to BW...the walk is about 15-18 mins. The boat is about 20 mins, not including any wait times.
With both AK and DHS there is no need to enter the park.
Thanks...last year we stayed at ASMo and took the bus to the water park (Bc it was the first one to come) then grabbed a bus to Boardwalk. I'll probably just go to the bus stop, grab either a DHS or AK bus and go from there. Either walk it or bus it.
