Kidani to Jambo

I love both resorts but don't get me wrong, we would love to move to Jambo. Is anyone having luck transferring from Kidani to Jambo as it opens up?

DVC at Jambo has been open-I don’t believe there’s additional inventory to be released. You may be thinking of the hotel side.

The cash side opening has nothing to do with the DVC inventory. There’s a whole lot more rooms at kidani, so it’s a lot easier to book.

I'm a DVC owner. Was thinking there was less Jambo DVC due to covid. When I booked Kidani was only thing available. I prefer Jambo that is all.

And it's only the second time in 14 years I couldn't get anything at Jambo.

DVC is not holding back any availability due to COVID.

Maybe Jambo is full, in part because the pool at Kidani is closed Jan-March and there is no counter service at Kidani either.

Me too! I stayed at Kidani a few weeks ago, before Jambo opened fully. Two things helped. One, I requested a room closer to the Jambo side-they gave me a room in the furthest "pod" and I took the elevator down and over to Jambo to eat a couple times. The other thing was that when I wasn't eating at Jambo, I got "Sanaa to go" and took it back to my room to eat. If I didn't finish my meal, the refrigerator was right there for my left-overs, and I had the microwave to reheat left-overs. Saved a lot of money on food that way!

How far out are you trying to change? DVC rooms at Jambo haven't changed much - they've been available. But there are far fewer at Jambo, so trying to switch only a couple months out, or during a busier time, could be tougher. That being said, there have been a lot of folks cancelling rooms - if you put something on a waitlist or keep watching, something might pop for you.

We stayed at Jambo for spring break this past year and it was GLORIOUS having the place to ourselves (DVC)!
