As one who has never been
I humbly post this question:

How can rooms that start in 7 be on the third floor as well as the fourth floor and there isn't even a seventh floor?!

are they just messin' with my head?

there are a lot of strands in old Duder's head, you know..........

I think they number them by the bead, not by the floor. Like OKW, villas are numbered by the building number, not by the floor.

I think they do that at all the resorts. We were just at BLT on the 2nd and our room number was 7228. We were on the 11th floor last year and it started with an 8 and the next number was a 1.

If there are four numbers, try the second number from the left.

Last October I stayed in room 7734 and it is on the 2nd floor. So that pattern doesn't work at all! :lmao:

It looks like on the map that there is a slight pattern but not really predictable enough to remember.

The pattern is that in the south wing, the floors have room numbered 72, 73, 74, and 75, and in the north wing, the floors are numbered 76, 77, 78, and 79.

But that isn't easy to remember especially since 72 is the first floor. :)

Technically the first floor is the parking garage. The room numbers 72 and 76 are for the second floor. 73 and 77 are for the third floor. 74 and 78 are for the fourth floor and 75 and 79 are for the fifth floor. The different numbers on each floor represent the side of the lobbies that the rooms are on. It is clear at the hotel. You won't get off on the wrong floor. The numbers are listed in the elevator. We have stayed several times and never got off on the wrong floor. We didn't find it ever noisy even when we stayed in June and July. I don't think you need to be concerned. The elevators are set back off of the main hallways. It is very spread out. Just make sure that you are not too far away fom the lobby as some rooms can be quite a hike.

Well the garage being the first floor helps clear this up a little. So second floor rooms are really the third floor and the room numbers start with 77. I got it.

I think I read somewhere that it is a quarter mile walk from the end of Kidani to the Lobby. I would definitely believe that.

when we werew there we thought we were on the right floor, tryed to get into what we thought was our room, but it wasn't. it was room 7234, we were in 7334 one floor up(3rd floor)

which still leaves the question unasked and, of course, unanswered:

why the heck don't they just number their rooms like normal hotels?

I mean, what's the point?

It does give us a lot to talk about. But I agree, it doesn't make any sense.

Question, are the Jambo House rooms numbered 1000 to 6000? That could be why they started with 7000 at KV.

There looks to be some connection. The Jambo rooms correspond to floor numbers. The 2000's are floor two, 3000's third floor etc. There are rooms at Jambo that have a 1000 number where there is no parking garage.

There are some special rooms in Jambo with the 6000 tags. Grand villas or concierge? I am sure someone knows.

Then all the kidani are 7000s. Interesting.

On the sixth floor of Jambo House, there are five two bedroom lockoff villas, along with the concierge lounge.

I stayed at Kidani two weeks ago and although I do not remember our room number, I just remember it was on the 4th floor and was such a long walk from the lobby. When I talk about a long walk, I mean an absolute hike. I felt really uncomfortable and quite nervous walking back to my room by myself at night down the corridor, as after the first 20 room, I then saw nobody and it was very very quiet. We were 4 rooms from the very end of the wing. There was probably nothing to worry about, but I just felt that if something had happened, there seemed no none around to help. I had requested being close to the lobby, but we couldn't have been much further away!
I loved the interior of our room though, just wish it was closer to the lobby.

OK

someone must know!!!!!!!

who is it?

What's left to figure out? All kidani rooms are 7000s. The parking garage is floor 1. Rooms are on floors 2-5.

On the south (right) side of th lobby, the second number is the floor number. 7200s floor two, 7300s third etc.

On the north (left) of the lobby the numbers get trickier. 7600s floor 2, 7700s floor 3, 7800s, floor 4, and 7900s floor 5.

They have a lot of rooms and it is a quarter mile from the lobby to the end of each hallway. If anyone thinks that is an exaggeration, you need to make the walk. It is far! :)

can anyone suggest a room area to request? We are staying for the first time in a few weeks and have no idea what to request. It is a Studio Savannah View if that makes any difference. Ideally we would like to be close to the lobby, bus stop, and parking lot if that is even possible!
