Kidani room numbers

Wow. That is some truly awful decision making on the numbering. Yeah, I have to agree with the repetitious "why?" that keeps coming up through the thread. That is just nuts. And it sounds like some of the other DVC properties have similarly odd numbering systems although perhaps not to the yucky extreme of that one. I think some engineering and planning people, not all but some, just can't resist thinking they are coming up with something newer and better when in fact they are just trying to fix what "ain't broke". :rolleyes1

to those of you who don't seem to grasp the fundamental basis of my question:

why in the heck would WDW decide to come up with a room number system which is contrary to every hotel room/floor number system....?!

their ships, which have come into existence chronologically sequential, are NOT numbered by the bed count but by the deck numbers....because that is the way it is done throughout the "normal" universe....

why, then, did Disney depart and come up with this crazy number plan?:confused3

NOT a huge issue, I grant you, but I like a neat and tidy WDW to be floating in my head because, as you all know by now, there are a lot of strands in ol' Duder's head....;)
