Debating many different options for our next trip. Saw where one week Jambo Value Villas have great rates. Then another option was another month where Kidani Villas were around the same price. We are looking for the one bedroom villa. What are the pros and cons? We would have our car to drive to the parks! Would love a savannah view though and looks like you risk it with value Jambo.

I can't comment on Jambo rooms as we did stay in Kidani in August and are going back in April. We stayed in a one bedroom and loved having two bathrooms! The sunset savannah view we had was great and we loved the pool area! We did take the bus to Jambo to go to Mara and we used the pool there...we liked the pool at Kidani much better. Honestly don't think you can go wrong at either place...happy planning :goodvibes

for a studio take Jambo house - for anything bigger - take Kidani

the jambo house is basically the hotel room changed.

Kidani is a brand new place.

the studio are basically the same size no matter what you choose - although generally the value rooms are much cheaper because they are smaller.

Jambo has the value 1 bedroom which only holds eight people, Standard 1 bedroom at Kidani houses 9 people(if this is important to you). If you are driving I would stay at Kidani because parking is under neath your rooms, it can be quite a haul to walk out to the parking lot at Jambo. Last and most important, Kidani is not as busy, less congestion.

I believe those occupancy rates are for TWO bedrooms. The value one bedroom villa at Jambo holds FOUR people. The larger one bedroom villas at Kidani have a pull-out chair in addition to the sofa so they hold five people.

There are very few value units at Jambo, so availability may be scarce.

Whoa 8 or 9 in a 1BR??? I think that's well over the maximum occupancy limits!! Are you sure you didn't mis-type the 2BR occupancy limits?

The advantages of Kidani 1BR over any 1BR at Jambo is that Kidani is newer (not that Jambo is worn down or anything, but Kidani just shines in my opinion) - and Kidani 1BR has 2 bathrooms, all Jambo 1BR only have 1.

We have stayed in both and personally I liked Jambo better. We had a Savannah view with both rooms. I'm one who likes to be in the hustle bustle of things and felt I got this with Jambo! So Jambo if you like to be closer to the action or Kidani if you like a more quiet, peaceful atmosphere.:thumbsup2

We've also stayed in both and prefer Jambo -it has more energy. We love the pool and we LOVE Boma. The lobby is stunning and it makes me happy just walking through it. Kidani is beautiful but it's too quiet.
ETA-The rooms are quiet In Jambo. Didn't want to leave the impression that the halls and rooms were noisy.
