Kidani or Jambo (dvc)?

Given your criteria, it seems as though Jambo House is your best option for proximity to restaurants (quick service and sit down). Some people I've worked with think that Kidani is far (it's after Jambo House, so the second bus stop) and doesn't have a quick service option. Kidani has an amazing pool, but it is somewhat in isolation.

Kidani is the first bus stop except when going to and from DS.

It's a ten minute walk between the two buildings. Or you can hop the shuttle that runs between them. It's probably further from some of the buildings at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian to the main lobby and dining areas. The pool at Kidani does have a menu that you can order from there and eat at the pool or take it back to your villa.

We stayed at kidani back a few years ago and just stayed at Jambo this past November. After this stay I would go back to Kidani in a heartbeat over Jambo. I this the views were better and it was a nicer resort overall. Both resorts have a lot of walking from one point to another but overall it seemed less when we were at Kidani. Also we had a savannah view both time and at Jambo we were lucky if we saw a bird once or twice out on our balcony. It was very disappointing considering how many animals we saw when we stayed at Kidani.

That is great to hear, since we have been trying to get a studio at Jambo but nothing is open. We will end up at Kidani more than likely - sounds like that may be a good thing! The only issue I see for my family is the bathroom in the studios. In the pics it looks like the sink and mirror is in the same room as the shower - is that the layout? I'm the only female, going to be hard for me to do my hair and makeup if one of my teen sons is in the shower. Any ideas? Thanks!

At jambo I know the shower and toilet were separate from mirror and sinks. We ended up with a one bedroom at Kidani so I am not sure how those are set up

Sorry to start this up again! I was wondering about laundry at Kidani. We'll be staying in a studio villa in Dec. and will need to do laundry - is there a laundry room in the building? Does anyone remember how much it costs? Also, does anyone know what is included in the kitchen in those studios? I think I will have a grocery delivery while there. Thank you so much!

Yes, there is a laundry room.

Studios have mini fridge, Mr Coffee coffee pot, then there is paper plates, cups, plastic utensils, there is a small Palmolive dish soap and sponge for washing things in small sink. I think there are regular coffee mugs too.

That's all I can think of right now.

If you want hand soap you will have to buy and bring your own. We always stop off on way into Disney to pick up some Dial hand soap.

Have fun! :)

The laundry is free for guests staying in DVC villas. You will need your own laundry detergent. You won't have a freezer section in the undercounter refrigerator, so be careful what you buy. You'll have bar soap in the bathroom, but no liquid hand soap if that is what you prefer.

When you stay DVC, and add the dining plan, where does it show up in your Disney account? I did this, and I can't find anywhere in my account that it was added. My ADR's are tues., so I've been trying to find it. Help! Thanks, guys!

The dining plan doesn’t show up in MDE for DVC stays.
