Kidani Online Check-in Request Problem

My elderly mom and I are travelling to Kidani next week. When I made the reservation I asked for a room near the lobby. It was noted on my original reservation.
Today I'm trying to do online check-in and it takes me away from the DVC site to the DisneyWorld site. The request isn't noted there. Although there is a place to enter room requests, it's not allowing me to type anything in that space. Is this a website glitch or am I doing something wrong?

I'm at a DVC resort now. The front desk people say "we've been having a problem with the request / check-in site for a few weeks now."
 
Thanks for the info. I'm sure the CMs are even more frustrated than we are.
 
I stayed at BLT lake view last month. About a month before, I e-mailed MS with a request for even # room, north side (which is a partial MK view). I did online check-in, did not indicate any requests. I got my request.

With your mom, I would ask MS to put on your reservation "close to lobby, medical reasons".
 

Thanks Debbie. I'm going to go ahead with the online check-in as is, and then give another call to Member Services and make the request as you suggested.
 
Make your request with MS, you won't see it but you can verify it with another contact with MS.

Online check in is a Disney CRO tool that DVC has access to. The requests don't always get sent to the resort and the requests available to check off don't always make sense for DVC stays.

Thanks Bill. I like doing things online but I think calling Member Services is the way to go for most things DVC.

Try using the contact form on the member website. Include the res# and your request. MS will add it to your reservation and send you an email when they add it.

I have worked with some really good MS CM's over the years and I have worked with some that have really screwed things up.

Online booking and using the contact form has improved my results. :thumbsup2
