There definitely seems like there's enough to do on the ship for at least several at-sea days!! The aquaduck looks SO cool, and the regular pool slide looks like fun too! Can't wait to hear about all of these fun things!

Pre Disney Shopping

I interrupt this important PTR for this message .....

So Disney.com was having a sale and the kids picked out some shirts they wanted.

Here are the ones DD picked

We didn't realize it said Dinseyland on it. But she still likes it.

She just loves Tinker Bell

And here are the ones that DS chose for himself

A bunch of Vinylmation came with this order, but DS isn't home for school yet and I wanted the kids to open them themselves. So I will get photos of those and post them later.

Sigh ....... I love Disney.

I LOVE that Disneyland shirt!!! Why do kids get all the super cute stuff?! Actually I suppose the better question is why do I want to wear clothes designed for kids. Clinton and Stacy would be so disappointed!

I was checking disneystore.com for what D-Tech items they have, and wouldn't you know my sparkle Mickey shirt that I JUST BOUGHT in November is half off now. I was just sick! Sigh.....

I did see your shirt on sale. And I would.have gotten one ... if they had my size. All they had was small though. And I am very certain that I will never be wearing that size again.

More Shopping !!!

OK, so I have mentioned that the kids fell for Vinylmation on our last trip. And we began buying and trading and found it quite fun. I didn't used to like them that much, but since this last trip they have really grown on me. A couple of weeks agao, the Disneystore.com had a sale on Vinylmation. Figures that are normally $12-$26 were on sale for $2 to $6. So I bought a bunch of them for the kids to use as trades. They aren't the really great or cute ones, but I like them and don't have anything better to do before my tennis match this morning besides post them. So here they are.

I am not quite sure what this one is ... but here's a picture. It was from the Urban 3 collection.

So that is it for today's installment. I may have gone a little overboard, maybe, just a little bit. But we will have plenty to trade. I wonder if they have Vinymation trading on the ship ??

DS came home from school and took the shirt he had on off and immediately put on the Perry shirt. Hasn't taken it off since. I will have to drag it off of him tonight for bath time, but I am glad he likes it.

Friday, April 13, 2012, Day 8 – Disney Dream – Nassau Day

This day will be our Nassau day. I have read a lot of trip reports and several of them mentioned that Nassau isn’t really their favorite place and some of them even elected to stay on the boat instead of entering the city.

This was our plan as well, but I showed DH a trip report I was reading that had people doing the Dolphin Encounter

and he said he wanted to do it.

It is pretty pricey. $98 a person, but this is on my bucket list so I agreed. A once in a lifetime experience. Here’s the brochure

I think that I am at my 75 day window to book this, so I need to get on it, I think. I am not even sure of HOW to book it, but I am sure I can find the answer somewhere on the DIS.

I want to try and get an early booking, so we can spend the rest of the day on the ship. We want to spend some time on the boat when it isn’t so crowded.

The entertainment on the ship for this day is Pirate Night.

And fireworks – which DH loves !!

Some people dress up as pirates in this night, but for now, we don’t have plans to do so. I think we will just wear the bandanas that DCL provides. I may get some eye patches.

So this seems like it will be a super fun day. And I am going to try not to think too much about this being Friday the 13th.

Swimming with the dolphins sounds like so much fun! I've had a bunch of friends do that before in different places and they've all loved it!

You should totally go all out for Pirate Night!!! Where else but DCL are you ENCOURAGED to dress up like a pirate for dinner?????

Yes, swimming with the dolphins has been on my bucket list, so I hope to get that crossed off. Going on a cruise was on my list as well, so I will be crossing a couple off with this trip. Good stuff.

Hey girl !!! I am so happy you stopped in !!! I am enjoying your Trip Report.

We are beyond excited about our cruise and AKL. Don't you worry, I will take TONS of photos. I am looking forward to the Aqua duck for sure.

We are exactly 70 days from the first day of our cruise. I went online today to book our dolphin excursion ...... and (cue sad and depressing music) .... they are sold out. SOLD OUT. Can you believe it ??? I am so sad. Maybe we can grab a last minute ressie on the boat. But darn .... I'm pretty bummed about it. Oh, and I noticed that our Nassau day and our At Sea days are reversed compared to the navigators I was looking at. On the bright side, we aren't spending the almost $ 500 on the excursion, so maybe we can do something else. But truly ..... I am kinda bummed.

Oh no! I would definitely keep checking back, especially closer to the trip! Hopefully someone will cancel and you can take their slot! But I'm sure that if the dolphins don't work out, there'll be a ton of other fun activities and excursions to do!

Girl, I got on that website and booked whatever we thought we might like to do. Half the stuff was already booked though, so I imagine our cruise is sold out or close to it. We got dinner at Palo, reserved floats for our two Castaway Cay days and the Stingray Adventure. So I guess we will have to take another cruise to fit in the Dolphin Excursion and cross it off my bucket list.

I will keep checking back, though. I want to swim with those dolphins !!!

So, as I was telling Sara in the previous post, after I found out the dolphin encounter was sold out, I jumped on the Disney Cruise website and got busy reserving stuff so we wouldn't be out of luck again. I reserved us floats for both of our Castaway Cay days, the Stingray Adventure at Castaway Cay and dinner at Palo. Whew !! Booking things on this cruise is like ADR's at Christmas !!

I am going back on the website and see what else I can book. I think we have everything we can pre book that we want to do, but we want to try the champagne tasting or one of the mixology classes.
