Kidani and Jambo requests

So I had my heart set on Jambo but it's not looking good. What are the best requests to make at both houses based on SVs and proximity to each other, Jambo for Mara etc and Kidani for getting to Jambo? We won't have a car so being near parking at Kidani doesn't factor in.

You have the choice of two savannahs at Kidani - either Sunset or Pembe. Sunset is the larger of the two and has giraffes. Pembe does not have the giraffes but has the Okapi.

Getting to Jambo is very easy. The buses for the parks stop at Kidani first and then Jambo. So you can take any park bus to get over to Jambo. Downtown Disney buses stop at Jambo first and then Kidani. So unless you absolutely want to walk between the two, i wouldn't focus your request on being close to Jambo. I would put your requests in for something like close to lobby or bus stop and what floor you want to be on.

If you absolutely want to walk the 0.5mi+ betweent he two then you would want to request something down in the Zazu parking area (even ask for close to the walkway to Jambo.)

Thank you. We had floor 5 at Jambo and loved it. I assumed we'd be in Jambo and only poked around at Kidani so I feel like I'm scrambling a little.

It does help, thank you! How do people choose a resort with research? I don't want to walk it persay, it's more for the kids. They love to run down to the CS and grab a treat. I don't feel the need to be with them every second and they enjoy their freedom but throwing a bus into the mix adds a level to the planning.

Ah ha! That's what that was. I knew there as some shuttling going on. We always parked right near Zazu's picture. It was a pretty easy walk and SO GORGEOUS!

our preferred Jambo request is room along Zebra Trail facing Arusha savanna away from the lobby. Excellent view for animals plus you face west to see wonderful sunsets while avoiding blinding sun in the room in the morning.

Our preferred request for Kidani savanna view is close to lobby or anything similar like close to community hall or the bus station. Savanna view rooms near the lobby face Sunset savanna which has giraffes and views are very good. The reason for the request: When we first stayed there we got a room right near the end of the hall on the north wing, the longer of the two wings. The walk from lobby to room was the longest walk down an internal hallway to your room that exists in any hotel on earth. It is about the same distance as walking from the base of World Showcase to Germany.

Love that there's a shuttle! that will make navigating back and forth between the villa and Mara much easier for the kids.
