I have a question about kids menus. This is our 1st trip to Disney and super excited! I am working on meal planning with ADR's and such at this time. Breakfast will be fine as my kids love most breakfast foods. However, I'm concerned with some of the restaurants let's take Whispering Canyon as an example; on their menu I only see like 4 things listed for kids for lunch/dinner -

1) grilled fish of the day
2) grilled chicken strips
3) cheesburger
4) Canyon skillet

My son is a pretty picky eater - pretty much eats chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, and hot dogs and beans. Not to much of a meat eater and won't eat grilled chicken, fish or cheeseburger. He might he some things off the canyon skillet.

But our restaurants flexible and maybe offer some for kids that doesn't appear on the kids menu? Any advise/tips would be great!

They always have chicken fingers ! Even if it doesn't say on the menu...just ask. Its just annoying when you eat someplace that is all you care to eat and..and the childs meal is 18 dollars for them and all they eat is 1 chicken strip a carrot and 2 chocolate chip cookies:sad2: Thats where I am at now with DD turning 5 in April....QS for us this time on adr..thats it.

Thank you for that! Makes me feel better as was worried would have to cancel some reservations for other restaurants because of that.

Also do you know if they serve like french fries with them or just the carrot sticks? Another question so you know if they serve chicken fingers at Pizza Planet? Strange I know but my son LOVES Toy Story and DH LOVES pizza so thought would be cool place to go, however, DS doesn't like pizza - crazy to me for 4 year old LOL

Last question - what are other fun places with TS for kids that aren't a character meal?

Pizza PLanet doesn't serve chicken fingers. The CS places pretty much just serve what is on the menu, you can check the menus on allears.net. Also, we ate there a couple weeks ago & the pizza was terrible. You can always just go in there & look around & play a few video games.

Sci-fi, Ohana's, and 50's prime-time are also fun for kids.

My DD (3) was set on having mac and cheese when we ate at Whispering Canyon. Even though it wasn't on the menu, we asked and they obliged with no questions asked. Fun, fun restaurant for kids. Your son will likely enjoy all of the activity.

For restaurants that are located in resorts, like WCC, they can usually be a bit more flexible because they likely share kitchen facilities with the resort's other restaurants and room service.

The chefs at WCC have made my DS a grilled cheese sandwich on more than one occasion.
