kid friendly restraunts

We are going to be in the parks in December. We almost always have pizza port for dinner bc it's quick and kids like pizza. I am looking for something new. Kid friendly food but with something super yummy for the adults. Any recommendations?? Kids are almost 2 and 4

Let's be honest. There is nothing "super yummy" for adults inside the parks. Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta is probably the least offensive we have found, but if you want something actually good, you might want to head over to DTD. Uva Bar is casual with a great kids menu (steak and chicken, not just mac & cheese!) and has a nice menu for adults as well. Nice outdoor seating (heat lamps if you need them) and a great place to people watch. La Brea and Naples aren't bad either.

I don't know about super yummy, but Hungry Bear Restaurant has a new menu, we haven't tried it but int he past my boys have liked the food & loved the view from it because they can wave at the boats going by.

It has some good reviews. I don't know if it is a seasonal restaurant

You can also find pizza at Redd Rocket's pizza in Tomorrowland, but in my opinion is just average.

Carnation Cafe! Plus if you time your dinner reservation right, you can watch the parade while eating your meal.

Rainforest is really fun for kids, kind of generic food for adults. We actually like Mimi's outside the park, across on Harbor. In the park we do like Carnation Cafe and actually most restaurants are pretty kid-tolerant. For value we like the Whitewater Cafe in GCH right outside of the gate there. Decent food and the best value for your money in the resort IMO.

No age is too young for the Blue Bayou. I love that restaurant. It is a good plan to make a p.s. for this table service restaurant, which you can do 60 days out. And definitely request a waterside table,I always do.
It is wonderful to dine al fresco, while hoping to see some of the naughty pirates cavorting about the o'l bayou. And if you listen carefully enough, you just might be able to hear a faint sound that is off in the distance coming from a banjo strumming bayou resident, that loves to do such while smoking his most favorite corn cob pipe, and sitting in his rocking chair, just a swaying back and forth. Which by the way, he does not take requests,I know....

I am in the minority, but do not like the Blue Bayou. It is overpriced, even for Disney, and the food really isn't that good. For kids, they have a chicken breast, a salmon filet, and mac and cheese.

In the park, I would vote for the Carnation Cafe. The PBJ is fun for kids. Or Pizza Port has toddler options (small options.)

I would recommend Cafe Orleans. Their food is yummy! The kids will love the fries! My nieces (at the time 4 and 10) ate a whole basket themselves! It is our families favorite place to eat!!!

Just about every place in the parks and downtown Disney is kid friendly. I even take my kids to Napa Rose. There were plenty of kids in there. Sure it looks fancy from the outside but I always wear shorts and t-shirts and do not feel out of place. Napa Rose is noisy and the vast majority of kids there don't distract from the atmosphere.

On the extremely rare occasion I am sure, that one might not be pleased with their order at the Blue Bayou, all that one needs to do is say so, and the matter I am certain will be rectified to their satisfaction. The management and staff really do aim to please all of their guests.

I dined at the Blue Bayou for my birthday this past April, and ordered the Surf and Turf. I totally loved it, matter of fact, would have loved to have had another tasty lobster tail. And because it was my birthday, I received a flavorful chocolate mousse, loved it! Suffice it to say, I highly recommend the Blue Bayous Surf and Turf.

I also second NOT LIKING Blue Bayou. They have made this a very "full of itself" eatery and I haven't been back since the waitstaff made us feel like my small and happy daughters didn't belong there. The food is overpriced and for the same money, we can go to the Napa Rose.

For kids, the Carnation Cafe is fabulous. Atmosphere, service, just wonderful for breakfast or lunch.

The newest place that you will be COMPLETELY SATISFIED is the Tarangoa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel. Kid Friendly, pocketbook friendly, and oooohhh - the relaxing atmosphere. You forget that the bustle of Disneyland and the neighboring city is anywhere near you!

I am sorry that some people are not happy with the Blue Bayou.
Not all wait staff are created equal,and no one is perfect. As a result,there is no restaurant that is immune to the extreme rarity of having a server not be at their personal best. After all like the old adage goes, to err is human, to forgive is divine.

Anyone that has not dined at the Blue Bayou, I highly and positively encourage them to do so. And It is not just a matter of menu, but as well as the entire immersion that one becomes apart of once entering the old bayou.

The bayou is where on can feel a soft cool gentle breeze upon their face, as if caressed by their mama's hands. While listening to the crickets chirp their night time songs. And can also see the wonderful glowing fire flies that reside as well at the riverside.

It is important for individuals to decide for themselves, what they do or do not like. I hope that the OP chooses to experience the Blue Bayou. I believe that they will be very happy and most satisfied with their dining experience. I have been so far.

Joining you on the bench. It was not worth the money last visit.

We like Taste Pilot's Grill, Boudin and Hungry Bear for tasty casual fare. Storyteller's Cafe is nice for table service.

It's funny, we were with the BB haters after the first time we had lunch there, and we didn't go again for a couple of years. Then we went for my son's birthday this year with really low expectations based on our previous experience. The food was much better than we remembered, and this time we got the waterside table so it was a much improved experience. The waterside experience might be mostly responsible for the difference. I'd say it's worth the extra effort to request the waterside table.

Our "go to" place is definitely Uva if the weather is nice. We all love the food, husband likes that he can get a martini. We also like Ralph Brennan's for lunch. Although they're both a bit more of a walk as they are in DTD, generally the faster service makes up for lost time.
