Kid-friendly bars on the Dream

I will be traveling with my 7 year old and may want to grab a drink at some point during the cruise.
Are there any bars on the Dream that are kid-friendly? I know that some are off limits to kids but I believe that there may be some where kids are allowed. Would there be anything fun for him and I to do (for example; play a board game or something)?
Any recommendations?

"The District" is the adults only entertainment area, but before 9 p.m. (I think), kids are allowed in most of the bars. I think some bars are always 18 and up, but they aren't as kid-appealing anyway. We were recently on the Fantasy, and our 3, 7 and 11 year old would join the adults in our party for music trivia in the Irish Pub before late dinner seating. They would get a kid specialty drink and have fun hanging out with us. We were on the Dream awhile ago and there was a fun sports bar called Pub 687 which had board games and a really cool atmosphere. A kid would definitely enjoy it. However, I can't remember if kids were allowed in. Anyone?

During the day, the only bar that is for adults only is the one above the adult pool area, by the smoking section. You can take the kids to any other location. Many turn into adult areas in the late evenings. You can also order drinks from the servers that are walking around the pool area so that you don't have to actually go to a bar. They also have servers that come around at the family activities that you can order drinks from.

As mentioned, the bars (except for the adult pool area) allow kids during the day and only become adults only at night (after 9pm). In addition to the bars in "The District", you can get drinks at the atrium bar, at the walkup bar near the family pool, and from servers walking around. Also, my DD loved the Oceaneers Club/Lab when she was young enough for that space and that is open until midnight. So there were nights she went to Oceaneers and I went to Skyline.

There is also the bar on deck 4 just above the lobby that is open during the day. Vista cafe I think it is called. They have free cakes too so I got that for my toddler while I had a delicious toblerontini cocktail one afternoon.

I would recommend leaving your kid in the club and enjoying on your own :)
I traveled with my spouse, but because our kids go to bed early (by 8pm at the absolute latest) or else are no fun for anyone, one of us was out solo every evening while the other read in the cabin with the sleeping kids. Which is just to say, being in the bars alone was totally fun and fine. And if your kid likes the club, it may work out better that everyone gets to do what they want.

In the Dream class ships, there's like a bar in the atrium deck 4 or 5 where sometimes there's singers and sometimes crafting activities during the day.. There are a bunch of sofas and tables and sometimes they put snacks (nachos/quesadillas) as well when there's entertainers singing... there is a bar there. Not sure if it has a name or its just the atrium. I've had drinks there. I certainly remember adults having a drink listening to music with their kids around. That would be the perfect place to take your kid if you want a drink. Plus its kind of a laid back place imo.

When our kids were younger we loved the Vista Cafe/atirum area. We would bring a deck of cards, my husband and I would have a drink, we would bring sodas or purchase them something non-alcoholic and fun. Great memories watching the sea go by and spending some family time there!

The atrium balcony is also a hot spot for unscheduled character wandering as the secret character room is near.

The District has trivia, name that tune, and crafts during the day that are open to all ages. But more importantly, you'll be able to get a drink at any point that you want it. There are servers all over the place on the decks, there's an adult drink station by the soft drink area by the pool, the concession area for the movies and shows sell beer, and if you really want an adult time experience, like others have said, you can go to the adult only pool area or to the District after 9 while your little one is in the club. I've never had a problem finding a worthy drink on the Dream.
