We just booked the Dream for April 2015. My son is a very picky eater especially with textures and will often prefer to eat smooth foods. Does anyone know if yogurt and applesauce are available on the dream ? Also, can we bring snack food on board ?

Yogurt, yes. Haven't seen applesauce. You can bring packaged snacks onboard. No home-made food.

I've heard that they will puree veggies and stuff for infants. I'm sure they would do that if you needed.

Yogurt is available at breakfast, you could grab one to keep in the room for a snack later in the day. I haven't seen it at lunch and I've never needed it but they may be able to get some for you if you ask.

I know we got applesauce from room service when DH was quarantined on our Med cruise. And I'm pretty sure I've seen it at the buffet at breakfast.

At any rate, just let your servers know what you need, they will do their best to accommodate you.

You may bring onboard whatever snacks you wish, as long as they are pre-packaged, sealed ones. No homemade goodies allowed.

Applesauce is available on the Fantasy, so I would think it would be on the Dream as well.

I will preface this with the fact that we haven't sailed in a year so things may have changed. However when we got DS applesauce on Fantasy it was rather chunky and DS would not eat it as he is also very picky about textures. I'm sure that we could have found someone to puree it further, but it wasn't a big deal since there was plenty of other things that DS would eat at the time. Also for yogurt there were several different flavors, but there was not vanilla. DS will not eat the yogurt with fruit in it because of the combination of smooth/chunky textures.

I don't know if these issues will apply to you or not, but wanted to throw it out there as I understand how difficult it can be to go somewhere new with a child that has sensory issues.

As others have said you can absolutely bring prepackaged foods onboard. We always bring some of DS's favorites such as the squeezable fruit pouches and Goldfish crackers with us. It is nice to have some well known comfort foods available in your stateroom.

Thank you do much !! We aren't going until April 2025 and are in a feeding program now so I hope he expands what he eats. But I feel sooooo much better that we can bring stuff on board.

Wow, that's a long way away. ;)
